Why Virginia is a Better Place to Live

I was asked by my parents, to pick the state Missouri, or the state Virginia to move to because they got a job offer to the same corporation, and was going to get paid the same amount of income roll in either state. After my research, I came up with the state that I think would fit my family and me best. If I had to choose between Missouri or Virginia, I would choose Virginia because of many reasons. Virginia has better education, jobs, and economy. Virginia also has better activities, attractions, and culture. Finally, Virginia has more historical events that impact lives each day on how our nation first got started. That is why, in my opinion, Virginia is a better place to live environmentally.

First of all, Virginia has better education, jobs, and economy that are well driven to the work force that I am leaning to in the future years. Virginia is ranked 26th overall in their academic achievements in education (alec). Jobs that drive the economy include: small kitchen appliances, computer software, and high-technology jobs in bioscience and communications. Virginia is a place, where technology runs high, and physical labor runs low now due to the change in technology ( Tougas 20). Other jobs that Impact their economy include: education, health services, finance, insurance, real estate, leisure, and government jobs (thomasjeffersoninist). Virginia’s crime rate is also lower than Missouri’s crime rate. There has been 29,511 burglary reports, 138,398 thief reports, 9,076 motor vehicle thief reports, 314 murder reports, 4,706 robbery reports, and 9,092 assault reports (neighborhoodscout).
