Abortion is Morally Wrong Abortion, the termination of pregnancy before the fetus is capable of independent life, can either be spontaneous or induced. It is called "the knowing destruction of the life of an unborn child." (Mass General Laws Chapter 112 Section 12K) When abortion occurs spontaneously, it is called a miscarriage. However, when the loss of a fetus is caused intentionally, it is regarded as a moral issue. Abortion destroys the lives of helpless, innocent children and is illegal in many countries. An estimate of 1.2 million are performed each year. In retrospect, an estimate 38,010,378 innocent children were aborted since 1973 when the process was legalized. Abortion is a simple and safe procedure if it is done by trained medical workers during the first trimester. There are four different techniques utilized during the first twelve weeks of pregnancy. Suction aspiration, also known as vacuum curettage, is the most common surgical means of abortion. This is when a powerful suction tube with a sharp cutting edge is inserted into the womb through the dilated cervix. The suction dismembers the body of the developing baby, tearing the placenta from the wall of the uterus, and sucking blood, amniotic fluids, placental tissue, and fetal parts into a bottle. Although it is one of the safer methods, there are still frequent complications such as infection and tearing of the uterus, causing hemorrhaging. Dilatation and Curettage (D&C) is another surgical process involving the insertion of a loop shaped steel knife to cut the baby’s body into pieces. The placenta is then scraped off the uterine wall. There is a higher risk of infection with D&C and greater blood loss than with Suction aspiration. RU 486 and Methotrexate are two similar types of chemical abortion. RU 486 is a pill that can be taken orally only during the five to nine week period. Three trips must be made to the abortion clinic. In the first, the RU 486 pill is administered after a physical examination. During the 2nd, 36 - 48 hours later, the woman is given a dose of artificial prostaglandins initiating uterine contractions. This causes the embryonic baby to be expelled from the uterus. The third visit, about two weeks later, can determine whether the abortion has been completed or if further surgery is necessary. Methotrexate is administered by intramuscular injection. God, the ultimate creator who decides the fate of all humans who come into existence, is the only One with the ability to choose life or death for His people. For us to make this decision ourselves, we are taking dominion over God and disregarding the Predestination that He intends for each living person. Works Cited Fettner, Ann Giudici. Abortion. Corporate Social Responsibility is the obligation from corporations to utilize their resources to aid and benefit the larger society. The four components of CSR are economic, legal, ethical, and philanthropic. Social Responsibility is a fundamental force in the wealth creation process. If correctly demonstrated, CSR should heighten competitiveness and boost the value of wealth creation to society. A company's CSR Initiatives directly represent who the company is and what it believes it. The m...
Abortion is very cruel to the baby and even harms the mother. It is murder! There are many different procedures for abortions, all gruesome and pain inflicting on the baby. Suction Aspiration (vacuum curettage) makes up for 98% of first trimester abortions. The cervix is first dilated. Then a suction tube with a sharp cutting edge is inserted which rips the baby to pieces. It then sucks out all the remains.
The United States government has a difficult time with coming to an agreement on whether to ban abortions, or keep them. Although the United States is about freedom and the people, the government should be more concerned about the health of its nation. According to the Stedman’s Medical Dictionary, an abortion is “Expulsion from the uterus of an embryo or fetus before viability (20 weeks’ gestation [18 weeks after fertilization] or fetal weight less than 500 g)” (Williams and Wilkins). An abortion can be performed in many different ways, depending on the time in which the abortion is taken place and the size of the fetus. There are three main categories in which an abortion can be performed. The most common form of an abortion is those that invade the uterus and kills the child by instruments which enter the uterus through the cervix. An abortion that happens toward the fifth month of being pregnant, is to kill the preborn child by administering drugs; the mother will then be put into induce labor where she will deliver the dead baby. Then the last three months of pregnancy, doctors will invade the uterus by abdominal surgery; during this time the umbilical cord is cut, thus cutting off the baby’s oxygen supply in which it causes suffocation. Through all of these abortions, the mother of the child is impacted in some way or another. With every abortion the mother undergoes, the more negative affect it has on her fertility, and her reproductive system.
Abortion, sometimes called termination of pregnancy, is the process where the pregnancy ends before the fetus/baby is born. There are two types of abortion that can be processed. The first one is a medical abortion, which can be done by taking medical pills to terminate the pregnancy. This pill is usually taken up to 24 weeks within the pregnancy. The second process is called surgical abortion, which is considered as a minor operation. There is a vacuum aspiration which is handled up to 15 weeks within the pregnancy. Dilatation and evacuation, which is another surgical way is managed between 15 and 24 weeks. Females prefer the medical process since its more natural and much easier. Abortion is moral only under certain circumstances like, if
The song is more emotional than we thought it was. The reason being is that in the song he indicts how caring he is to people who are worse off than most. Also, he shows that he is connected to the society not only with an example: “As I, turn up the collar on, My favorite winter coat, This wind is blowing my mind, I see the kids in the streets, With not enough to eat”, but through the language of the song which is simple English. Also, Jackson start by making a winter type environment by using imagery by first wearing his “favorite winter coat”, turning “up the collar” as he leaves his home. Next, he uses personification in “This wind is blowing my mind”. This personification also serves as an image to depict his perspective by letting us
the womb, the doctor uses the procedure called manual vacuum aspiration or dilation and evacuation known as D&E. Both procedures use suction to empty the womb, M.V.A known as manual vacuum aspiration uses a handhold tool, while D&E is used with a suction machine and other tools. For the M.V.A procedure the latest you can wait is around twelve weeks of pregnancy. The cut off for D&E is before the end of thirteen week of your pregnancy.(“What is surgical abortion?”). Surgical abortion is nearly one hundred percent effective. In conclusion medical abortion is another procedure that occurs within a certain amount of time.
The first common theme is the importance of clear strategic intent and big picture thinking in negotiations. Before taking the Negotiation Behaviour unit, I always perceived negotiation as a fixed-pie, a zero-sum gain situation, where one party wins and the other party loses. This belief has often led me to a competitive behaviour in negotiation by trading the big picture thinking with the need to win, getting too detailed too quickly, leading to a positional approach instead of having a broad goal and explore for ways around problems to create value and get the best outcome.
These usually occur during the first three months of pregnancy. It is estimated that 25% of all pregnancies end in spontaneous abortion. The second form of abortion is induced abortion. This is the deliberate termination of the fetus. There are four main types of induced abortions. The first takes place up to 12 weeks. It is called vacuum aspiration.
Over the last decade, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has emerged as an inescapable priority for companies all over the world. Governments, activists, and the media have to a greater extend become adept at holding companies account for the social consequences of their business activities. As a result, companies are increasingly being ranked on their CSR performance.
A corporations CSR should be shaped in order to fit the goals of the corporation, although every corporation’s CSR should differ, since most have different goals and different communities behind them. The CSR should be molded into fitting the corporation’s goals in order to make it easier on the corporation in giving back to the community while achieving its goals. For example, a corporation located in a desert wishes to be more efficient, by reducing water usage it is not only creating lower costs, which result in higher revenue, but also helps the community by not taking up so much water. Taking this into consideration, it is critical that the corporation goals and values are established and clear throughout the corporation, they should be developed by the board or directors and CEO, and the highest managerial level should stress their importance to the rest of the corporation. By making the goals and values at the top branch of the corporate hierarchy, it will be simpler for the corporates community to develop in order to nurture those goals and values. Therefore, a corporation can reach the “shared-value,” a value for both its shareholders and community in a simpler manner that can result benefiting the corporation in the end as well. Throughout the article many examples are given of actual corporations that have benefited and changed their CSR in order to fit their goals, therefore, providing solid proof that these methods work. Nevertheless, as acknowledged by the author’s themselves, most of the corporations taken into consideration where one’s that Harvard CSR students were employed
Abortion by definition is a medical procedure used to end a pregnancy and cause the death of the fetus. This act of killing the fetus has been legal in the United States since the supreme court case Roe V. Wade in 1973. While this may be a touchy subject, it is an issue that needs to be addressed immediately. It is a social injustice that has killed millions of babies since the legalization of abortion, but by making it illegal and educating the public, the number of abortions would reduce and the lives of so many innocent babies would be saved.

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is similar to an individual’s social responsibility. An individual who is socially responsible is aware of how their decisions affect the environment. Corporate social responsibility can be define as “how well a company meets its economic, legal, ethical, and discretionary responsibilities” (Peter & Sarah, p. 51). Corporate social responsibility holds businesses accountable to stakeholders such as consumers, in areas of concern such as environmental factors, community and society in general. As a result successful CSR initiatives creates a sustainable company in all ways: financially, ethically, environmentally, and socially. The moral problem with CSR is based on the belief that “CSR would be a cost that would be higher than the perceived benefits. By financially supporting “charity” based initiatives, firms are not performing their fiduciary duty to their stockholders” (Peter & Sarah, p. 49).
