1) What is Ethics?
There are many different opinions of people on the word ‘ethics’. Some would say it is to differentiate between rights or wrong based on feeling. Another part of society believes that ethics is something that is a requirement by religion. Others however, would say that ethics is an obligation to uphold the law.
When people defines ethics by separating right and wrong based on feelings, it is not entirely true because some people tend to choose the wrong thing to do based on feelings. Thus, by using feeling as a judgment, it strays from the purpose of ethics.
Besides that, where society thinks ethics is connected with religion also implies that it is not entirely true. Although religious belief people show great level of ethics in their daily life, it cannot be said that only religious people have ethics because even some people who are not believers in God shows great level of ethics. Religion does teach us to be a person with high ethical behavior but however, ethics cannot be categorized only to religion.
The law is the highest degree of rules and anybody who follows it could be said as a good person. But still however, a person that follows the law cannot be said entirely that he/she have good ethics and mannerism. For example, smoking in public near non-smokers and children is not against the law but it is not ethical to do that. A person that really follows the law that has written by the country certainly sometimes doesn’t show good ethics in character.
Ethics define a broad meaning on the subject itself. Baumhart,R (1987) states that ethics can be separated into 2 things. Firstly, it could be identified as a great level of right or wrong which can relates to the actions of p...

By following the rules and protocols in geo-ethics the geology structure and the environment could be preserved despite any activities that are being done by human such as drilling for oil or chopping down trees for paper.
One of the most important types of ethics these days is business ethics. This form of ethics is what we say the world of business could depend on. With the increasing amount of non-integrity people and liars out there in the business world, embezzlers in companies and people who does not have moral principles in business environment will eventually bring the world to its lowest point where war could probably start. Ethics in business is a very important way to reduce the negative sides that are increasing in the business world.

Ethics are the principles that shape individual lives in modern society. It is a subjective idea that seems to have a standard in society. Ethics and morals are the major factors that guide individuals to make right and wrong choices. Something that is morally right to one person might be the very opposite of what another person would view as right. There are many factors that can trigger a change in an individual’s view of morality.
Ethics: while defined by Merriam-Webster dictionary as “the discipline dealing with what is good or bad [through] moral duty”, this concise phrase does not seem to encompass the word’s full connotation. The way ‘ethics’ is defined in the dictionary alludes that there is a black-and-white answer to whether an action, belief, or opinion is ethical. Unfortunately, when applying this term to real life, decisions are almost never as clear cut as right or wrong. Why then, are we so quick to judge things as right or wrong, good or bad, ethical or unethical?
The word “Ethics” has its root in the Greek word ‘ethos’, which means character, spirit and attitude of a group of people or culture. Ethics is defined in the Concise Oxford Dictionary as: a system of moral principles, by which human actions may be judged good or bad or right or wrong, and the rules of conduct recognized in respect of a particular class of human actions.
What is ethics? Ethics are the philosophical principles of good verses bad moral behavior. It is a guideline to help people make decisions or make a judgment calls. There are two main types of ethical principles that will be discussed in this paper, and how they are applied to the decision making process. They are Deontological and Utilitarian. Deontological ethics are based on the righteousness or wrongness of the action-taking place. It does not base itself on the bad or good consequences that come from the action. Immanuel Kant introduced deontological ethics in the 18th century. Kant believed that every decision or action made by a person had to be evaluated by his or her moral duty. He stated that humanity shouldn’t side on its

[1] Ethics is defined as “the code of moral principles and values that governs the behaviour of a person or a group with respect to what is right or wrong” (Samson and Daft, 2005, p.158)
As a function, ethics is a philosophical study of the moral value of human conduct, and of the rules and principles it should govern. As a system, ethics are a social, religious, or civil code of behavior considered correct by a particular group, profession, or individual. As an instrument, ethics provide perspective regarding the moral fitness of a decision, course of action, or potential outcomes. Ethical decision-making can include many types, including deontological (duty), consequentialism (including utilitarianism), and virtue ethics. Additionally, subsets of relativism, objectivism, and pluralism seek to understand the impact of moral diversity on a human level. Although distinct differences separate these ethical systems, organizations
As a branch of philosophy, ethics investigates the questions “What is the best way for people to live?” and “What actions are right or wrong in particular circumstances?” In practice, ethics seeks to resolve questions of human morality, by defining concepts such as good and evil, right and wrong, virtue and vice, justice and crime. As a field of intellectual enquiry, moral philosophy
Anywhere you look, you can see the presence of ethics in various organizations and institutions. Whether it be political, lawful, medical, religious or social. Its very core ethic deals with protecting fundamental basic freedoms such as the right to live, avoid abusive treatment and the right to security as well as basic human liberties such as the freedom of speech and freedom from persecution. In Badiou’s short essay on ethics “Ethics: An Essay on the Understanding of Evil” he delves into his criticism of ethics and the meaning of evil. From the perspective of Badiou, ethics are just a method for deducting evil.
...a rational decision. Feelings are temporary, yes. But without feelings, reasons became invalid and meaningless. Ethics means doing what one believes is the right and best choice for them and what is right to me might not be right to others. Virtues, responsibilities, obligations, and believes all contribute to how people see and analyze things. We are all diverse in how we see and comprehend situations and how we feel about each situation will change how we reason our actions. So should ethics be base on reasons or feelings? I believe that it should be the base on both. Feelings will always be apart of the human nature, and it is what influences our life choices daily. Reasons are ropes that help us remain calm and make rational decisions. When combine feelings with reasons, one can be sure that he/she is making a rational decision that is morally right for him/her.
Ethics are moral principles or values that govern the conduct of an individual or a group. It is not a burden to bear, but a prudent and effective guide which furthers life and success. Ethics are important not only in business but in academics and society as well because it is an essential part of the foundation on which a civilized society is built.
Ethics is the philosophical study of morality. These days our society is changing due to advanced technology, hence the study of ethics is very important than the previous decades. In fact, the study of ethics is not a new issue but Socrates and Plato used ethical reasoning to explain different unjust issues before 2000 years. Ethics is one of the major issues, which does have not any guideline to a particular activity that is morally good, bad or neutral. However, everyone has different understanding and judgment about ethics depend on their cultural, economical, and family back ground. For instance, lying is unethical in most society and it is normal for some other cultures. Therefore, it is difficult to give universal meaning about morality as it depends on a given culture. For this reason, I would say there is not a single universal standard to label someone’s ethical decision as right and wrong. However, all countries should adopt ethical behavior with their environment in order to have honesty and caring society. An Individual can choose among different alternatives based on his or her ethical decision, but it is very difficult to say his or her ethical decision is right or wrong.
Philosopher David Hume divided the term “ethics” into three distinctive areas; meta-ethics, which focuses on the language used when talking about ethical issues. The general approach to this area of ethics is, it explores the nature of moral judgement, and it looks at the meaning of ethical principles. Normative ethics tries to find practical moral code that we can live by. It is concerned with the content of moral judgements and the criteria for what is right and wrong. Finally applied-ethics is the application of ethical theories and using them in real life issues such as medical research or human rights (Hume D, 2011).
