Imagine being a child with Autism. Think of the struggles you would have to go through. Not being able to express how you feel, not being able to be understood. This is how many children are feeling today. Autism is a serious disease that needs a cure to better the life's of children. Autism is the fastest growing disability in the United States. There are many questions being asked about Autism. Is there a cure for Autism? What causes a child to be born with Autism? What can a parent do to make living with Autism easier to deal with? These are some of the top questions people are asking. Finding a cure for Autism is the most important task scientists and doctors should be looking for.
What is Autism? Autism is also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder, or ASD. Autism is complex disorders of the brain development. There are three classifications a child can fall into. The first is difficulties in social interaction. According to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association these are some of the symptoms “poor eye contact with people or objects, poor play skills in pretend or social play, being focused on a topic or objects that interest them, being overly focused on a topic or objects that interest them, and problems making friends.” In this particular area it is extremely important for there to be a cure. This is because social skills are important for people to live. Without that skill it can be hard to do daily activities.
The Second classification is verbal and nonverbal communication. Art therapy is a great nonverbal way for a child to express him or herself. Animal therapy is used in two ways. The child can either horseback ride or swim with dolphins. Both of these treatments can help to stimulate physical and emotional benefits. These can also help to increase self confidence.

Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that effects the brains development. It is characterized by affecting communication, cognition and social interaction. The spectrum of the disorders ranges from a mild condition called Asperger’s syndrome to a more severe form, which severely impairer’s development. There are also varying degrees of the disorder from low-functioning (no communication and no social interaction) to high-functioning (some communication and inappropriate but existent social skills.)
