Psychology and Computers
For this paper I decided on the topic of how computers influence my chosen
profession, and since I am a Psychology major this paper is going to be about
Psychology and Computers. I plan to study School Psychology in particular.
Where to begin? Computers affect so many aspects of Psychology. Let us start with the basic computer which is the calculator. We Psychology major’s use the calculator all the time, particularly in the class of test and measurements, are shown how to administer a test to students, adults, etc… Then shown to calculate the different results and the different formulas we use and what the formulas mean. We also use the calculator, especially a calculator with graphing functions, to make graphs and to see what the math formula actually did. We can see what it measures and actually what the formula means.
In another class called Senior research, we are using the ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) which is a data analysis tool that is located in the Windows Excel Program, to see if the outcome of the ANOVA was statistically significant or if the outcome of the just had to do with interference of other variables. Also in the Excel Program, after the outcome of the ANOVA we use the Chart Wizard to make a graph to show the results of the ANOVA. Those are just some of the things that I use everyday which require a computer in Psychology, and this is just undergraduate work. I have not begun to tell all of the influences that computers have on Psychology.
I plan on going to Graduate school after I graduate from Lake Superior State University with my Bachelors of Science in Psychology. In Graduate school I plan

to study School Psychology, but just to get into Graduate school I have to take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE). This is a Computer Based Test which measures a students’ verbal, quantitative, and analytical skills. By using the computer test you will be able to get your results right away after you take the test, unlike when I took the ACT (National College Admission Examination) to get into Lake Superior State. The ACT was a paper and pencil test which took two to three weeks to get my test results back.
cells. Also, the inside of the intestine has many blood vessels and fold linings that aid in absorption of varied
Agile project management is an iterative approach to the planning and monitoring of project processes. Agile projects are conducted in smaller tranches called iterations with each of these iterations closely reviewed and critiqued by the project team (employees, representatives of the clients etc.). The knowledge gained from this process is then used to ascertain the next steps of the
The theory of chronic sorrow is not a new one. It was introduced in the early sixties as a way of explaining the ongoing waves of grief experienced by parents of children with severe mental disabilities (Eakes, Burke, & Hainsworth, 1998). Since this early conceptualization, the theory has evolved significantly and has demonstrated important applications to nursing practice; by understanding how chronic sorrow affects patients, nurses are better equipped to guide them through this distinct and unique coping mechanism and ensure that they do not engage in pathological grief states such as depression (Gordon, 2009). In order to provide effective support to patients experiencing chronic sorrow, it is crucial for nurses to understand not only the nature of chronic sorrow, but also the situations that preclude it and how to differentiate it from other commonly confounded but distinct loss responses and pathologies (Casale, 2009).

I expect that graduate work at the University of Somewhere will be demanding, challenging, and exciting, and I look forward to attending a program of this sort. During my time in graduate school I expect to receive the opportunity to learn, grow, and evolve as a person and a psychologist.
Nursing theorists started to study this theory of chronic sorrow back in 1980. A group of scientists joined together in an effort to study chronic sorrow and to build a framework that helped nurses to understand how patients react to chronic sorrow. In order to support parents of children with chronic conditions, or anyone with a chronic condition, one must recognize the unique challenges that each family goes through (MacLean, 2014).
Diverticular disease is a condition that occurs when pouches form toward the end of the large intestine. The large intestine includes the cecum, ascending colon, transverse colon, right and left colic flexure, descending colon, sigmoid colon, rectum, and anal canal. The wall of your colon has four main layers: mucosa, submucosa, muscularis propria (externa), and adventia layer (serosa). Blood vessels called vasa recta supply blood to the colon.
My paper is based on an article from the text’s web site (chapter 9) entitled “Lack of sleep ages body’s systems.” The basic claim of the article is that sleep deprivation has various harmful effects on the body. The reported effects include decreased ability to metabolize glucose (similar to what occurs in diabetes) and increased levels of cortisol (a stress hormone involved in memory and regulation of blood sugar levels). The article also briefly alludes (in the quote at the bottom of page 1) to unspecified changes in brain and immune functioning with sleep deprivation.
Agile software development is a group of software development methods based on iterative and incremental development, where requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing, cross-functional teams. It promotes adaptive planning, evolutionary development and delivery, a time-boxed iterative approach, and encourages rapid and flexible response to change.
These skills in particular are the plethora of programs at hand ready to be used and experienced by multiple users across the whole entire world. There multiple programs that helps man and progress science. There is one program that I would like to talk about which is called Foldit, a program that reframes fiendish scientific challenges as a competitive multiplayer computer game. It taps into the collective problem-solving skills of tens of thousands of people, most of whom have little or no background in science. This program helped the science community because a group of players discovered a structure of proteins which was a relative of HIV that causes AIDS in monkeys. These programs that can be used to solve science is a major reason why people should own computers. A gaming computer can be used for one’s work, to download and listen to music for free, and create pictures or videos. These programs of the sort is used for casual computer consumers and photo shoppers. There are also programs that are helpful while being free. Software can be expensive if you 're not smart about it. Free programs have been a mainstay of the desktop experience for decades, and the offerings only get more powerful and fascinating each year. There are multiple genres of programs such as ad blocks, malware detectors, adware detectors, cleaners and other useful essential programs needed for use. All of these programs should be open source so one cannot get a virus and other terrible programs installed inside one’s computer. Lastly there a multitude of social programs at use on the computer. Programs such as Skype, OovoO, and team speak are just a small list of programs one can use to meet new people by using their voices. These programs can bring a person with no friends to having a couple or even hundreds of friends and would bring joy to them in their life. There was someone I knew who had no
My goal is to work in a mental health setting as soon as I graduate with my BSW. I would like to see if I should get my masters in social work or get my doctorate in psychology. Either way, I feel like I will be doing a great thing. As a professional, I want to help many people with their problems. I will encourage their opinions and ideas as well as help them form plans to better their
