Wedding Speech – Best Woman or Maid of Honor For those of you that don't know me I'm Misa's cousin Lucy. I've decided not to tell any embarrassing stories because it would also be embarrassing to me... and our parents probably don't know about most of them. I've known Misa my whole life so I thought it would be appropriate to make a short poem on our lives up until this point. MISA I've known you forever; it's been over 27 years Although we've had good times, there've also been tears. With getting into trouble over the time I consider you not only my cousin but my partner in crime. When ever I was in trouble there would be no doubt You'd be there by my side bailing me out. You've snuck me into bars and we've told a few lies But hey what the hell they were all ugly guys. As teenagers, we were wild; no one would ever believe. But honestly Aunt Norma, Misa had it all up her sleeve. I'm so happy for you both, on your special day My wish has come true, what more can I say. In 70 years when I take a look back at the very end Not only were you my cousin but you were my best friend. Misa you're a terrific friend and as close as a sister as I'll ever get and

There is good reason for concern over water sustainability in Western Australia. Water is connected to all spheres of sustainability: environmental, social and economic. Using Systems Analysis to explore the reasons why water consumption is the way it is in WA, three key factors have emerged: a drying climate, affluence in WA, and community awareness and education. These three factors are interwoven, and they are influenced by one another. While consumption of water in Western Australia may be.. I’ll finish this later.
Healthcare disparities are when there are inequalities or differences of the conditions of health and the quality of care that is received among specific groups of people such as African Americans, Caucasians, Asians, or Hispanics. Not only does it occur between racial and ethnic groups, health disparities can happen between males and females as well. Minorities have the worst healthcare outcomes, higher death rates, and are more prone to terminal diseases. For African American men and women, some of the most common health disparities are diabetes, cancer, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and HIV infections. Some factors that can contribute to disparities are healthcare access, transportation, specialist referrals, and non-effective communication with patients. There is also much racism that still occurs today, which can be another reason African Americans may be mistreated with their healthcare. “Although both black and white patients tended not to endorse the existence of racism in the medical system, African Americans patients were more likely to perceive racism” (Laveist, Nickerson, Bowie, 2000). Over the years, the health care system has made improvements but some Americans, such as African Americans, are still being treating unequally when wanting the same care they desire as everyone else.
When I first met Carol she was eagerly entering third grade with a huge smile on her face. I was a fifth grade new to the school and I didn’t know anyone. She smiled at me and would have short conversations with me in the halls. My sister, who was in her class, and she became great friends almost immediately, and soon Carol Ventocilla was visiting our house weekly. As our friendship grew we would walk to the library after school together, hang out together, and play outside with each other.

Racial and ethnic disparities in behavior health care are not a new phenomenon. According to researchers’ disparities in health services use and outcomes have contributed to difference in access to care. Evidence showed that compare to the majority, African American and the Latino they have the lowest income, less education, lower rates of private insurance coverage. There are possibilities that explain this phenomenon: racial bias on the part of the door, patient preferences, and poor communication.

Every day that I wake up and every night before I fall asleep, I thank God that we met, because without you I would be nothing. Through the hard times you have held my hand, through the rough times you have held me close to you, and through the ups and downs you have stayed by my side. What else could I ask for? When I am sick you tuck me in. You have brought back the person that everyone loved and have helped me learn to be the person I always wanted and knew I could be.
Psychoanalytic Theory itself has, what seems to be, two contradictory halves: Freudian psychoanalysis and Lacanian psychoanalysis. The first half focuses solely on the author and the unconscious mind; the second considers the unconscious, but prefers to concentrate on outside influences by deconstructing the text itself. According to Freud, interpretation is achieved by examining conflicts and symbols, such as Freudian slips and dream images. These outlets are help to determine whether an individual’s external behavior coincides (or conflicts) with their internal emotion. Freud placed emphasis on sexuality and the Oedipus complex, which is the idea of repressed sexual feelings toward a parent of opposite sex. He also defined three levels of the subconscious mind: the ego, the super-ego, and the id. Barry explains that the stages align with “the consciousness, the conscience, and the unconscious” respectively (93). On the other hand, Lacan, a follower of Freud, concentrated on the relationship between an author and his or her work. He claimed the two were inexorably connected, that objectivity is nonexistent. In an essence: an author’s personality is used to interpret the text and, in contrast, the text is used to gain insight about the author. Regardless of the emphasis, psychoanalytic criticism engages an
Miller, Debra A. Will the World Run out of Fresh Water? Detroit: Greenhaven, 2007. Print.
Freshwater is quite scarce, but it is even scarcer than one might think: about seventy percent of all freshwater is frozen in the icecaps of Antarctica and Greenland and is unavailable to humans. Most of the remainder is present as soil moisture or lies in deep underground aquifers as groundwater. It is not economically feasible to extract this waster for use as drinking water. This leaves less than one percent of the world’s fresh water that is available to humans. It includes the water found in lakes, reservoirs, groundwater that is shallow enough to be tapped at an affordable cost. These freshwater sources are the only sources that are frequently replenished by rain and snowfall, and therefore are renewable. At the current rates of consumption, however, this supply of fresh water will not last. Pollution and contamination of freshwater sources exacerbate the problem, further reducing the amount of freshwater available for human consumption. Something must be done if humans want to even survive in the near future: the lack of clean drinking water is already the number one cause of disease in the world today. The first step is worldwide awareness of the water crisis: governments and the citizens they govern worldwide need to know about this problem and be actively involved in solving this problem.
