Robots Enlisted as Sodiers
"Attack, Attack" the soldier typed into the computer as quickly as he could. He types every little action he wants the robot to respond to, in this specialized computer made for the robot. He directs the robot through the territory, through rocks and potholes, avoiding hidden land mines. After spotting human figures on the screen, the robot informs the soldier of enemies lurking ahead.
This all started in the summer of 2013, during the next World War (World War III). The United States were concerned about Korea's nuclear powers that they were using against the United States. During the years before this war had started, the U.S. military was working on creating a robot, fighting machine.
This robot was designed to fight for the soldiers, which in return would allow the soldiers to be safe, and stay with their families instead of fighting on the front line. The training for soldiers was much different lately, instead of training them for combat and one-on-one fighting, they were trained using a computer. For hours on end they would learn the techniques of the military computers. These computers were what the robots ran off, what controlled their brains and their thinking. Every move was typed into the computer. It seemed so simple, but the soldiers still had to go through intensive training. Just as soldiers, these robots would fight the enemy; therefore, they needed a strategy and some idea of what the capabilities of the robot were.
The robot was tiny and had two tracks similar to a snowmobile. It had a protective shield above, which blocked any sort of weapon that would be fired. Behind the shield, there was a camera about the size of a grown man's hand. This camera viewed all directions, in all lights. It had night vision, radar detection, and other military used items. The great thing about these robots was the fact that it could distinguish between enemy and our military. While detecting all these different commotions, it would detonate any land mines located ahead of the robot.
It was the day, June 13, 2013, when the war seemed like it took a run for the better and a run for the worst for Korea's army. Each soldier sat in front a screen ready for the war of the United States army, while Korea's army was also ready for the battle against our robots. A young man named, Joe ages 18, and has been sitting patiently ready to trigger his robot.

Amid the snow-covered hills in the tiny village of Chipyong-Ni, Korea, a battle ridden 23rd Regimental Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division made a decisive stand from February 13-15, 1951 that would lead to the first operational win against a much stronger and larger force. In what some considered being the Gettysburg of the Korean War, the Battle of Chipyong-Ni was a bitterly contested engagement between the X Corp, 23rd Regimental Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, under the command of COL. Paul Freeman the North Korean People’s Army and the Chinese Communist Forces’ (CCF). This analysis will demonstrate that COL Paul Freemans’ ability to properly use mission command ultimately led to the first operational defeat of the enemy since the Korean War had started.

In Conclusion, the U.S decisive decision to enter the war was caused by the desire to politically rule and, in essence, prevent the world domination of communist rule. The War also resulted in several major advancements in military, such as use of helicopters as air ambulances and the national blood banking program which changed the handling of blood in the long way. The technological advances in the Korean War, “as the Russians and the Americans invested heavily in technology to outdo each other, both in the missile race and in the space race,” (“Impact of the Korean War”) impacted various aspects of technology, medicine, and transportation. The conflict also began the first ‘Proxy war’ of the Cold War, prolonged tensions with China, and instead deepened them against the Soviet Union, which initiated the Cold War with the division of Korea.

The Great Depression was one of the greatest challenges that the United States faced during the twentieth century. It sidelined not only the economy of America, but also that of the entire world. The Depression was unlike anything that had been seen before. It was more prolonged and influential than any economic downturn in the history of the United States. The Depression struck fear in the government and the American people because it was so different. Calvin Coolidge even said, "In other periods of depression, it has always been possible to see some things which were solid and upon which you could base hope, but as I look about, I now see nothing to give ground to hope—nothing of man." People were scared and did not know what to do to address the looming economic crash. As a result of the Depression’s seriousness and severity, it took unconventional methods to fix the economy and get it going again. Franklin D. Roosevelt and his administration had to think outside the box to fix the economy. The administration changed the role of the government in the lives of the people, the economy, and the world. As a result of the abnormal nature of the Depression, the FDR administration had to experiment with different programs and approaches to the issue, as stated by William Lloyd Garrison when he describes the new deal as both assisting and slowing the recovery. Some of the programs, such as the FDIC and works programs, were successful; however, others like the NIRA did little to address the economic issue. Additionally, the FDR administration also created a role for the federal government in the everyday lives of the American people by providing jobs through the works program and establishing the precedent of Social Security...
People who have been in accidents or having disabling conditions turn to physical therapists, commonly called PT’s, for help. Physical therapists are professional health care providers who are licensed in each and every state they practice. Physical therapy has a long history of returning people to their maximum level of physical function. Physical therapists use a variety of techniques to restore a function, improve mobility, relieve pain and prevent physical disabilities in their patients. However, being a physical therapist also has many downfalls such as dealing with patient’s insurance, motivating patients, and dealing with criticism in the workplace.

During current times, many individuals struggle financially. In the 1920 and 30s, the daily life of Americans was much worse. This time is known to many as the Great Depression. During this gruesome era, the United States had an enormous unemployment rate and many people began to starve. This was all caused by an economic sorrow. The Great Depression economically destroyed America.First off, the banks catastrophically failed. When the banks deteriorated, many citizens lost all of their wealth (Hayes). This swept poverty across the nation. Later, the United States government established the Emergency Banking Bill of 1933. This secured the United States’ banks and placed the federal government in charge of the banks. (“The New Deal”). Still,
As a physical therapist assistant or “PTA” you must work as part of a team that to provide physical therapy services to patients in need under the supervision of a physical therapist. You will work with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, psychologists, and social workers (Bureau of Labor Statistics). The most important part of the team is, of course, the patient. Without the patient a healthcare provider has no job. A patient can become injured and lose mobility in many ways and some conditions are harder to treat than others and take more time. For example, an injury to the back, which is a common source for pain and immobility, responds very well to physical therapy and is easier to treat. For conditions such as a stroke, the patient may need to r...
One important element to the system is that each military vehicle is tracked by satellite and it appears as a moving blue icon on a computer screen inside these Humvees that have been equipped with the Army Battle Command System, this is important to the Humvee driver because now he is able to know where all tanks and other army vehicles are located and this is said to have helped reduce the amount of friendly fire incidents. Back before they had this technology the drivers would have to radio back to the command base and inform them on there location, “No longer do you have guys on a map putting little stickers where things are at, now it is digitally done. It allows commanders to move more rapidly, more decisively, more violently.” [1]
With the development of technology in the world, people are faced with many things they never saw and knew before. In this modern life, technology has affected a lot of people’s lives in many levels. Robots are considered as important products of technology. Robots were introduced by a writer, Karel Čapek, from the Czech word, robota, meaning “forced labor” or “serf”. Čapek used this word in his play, R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots) which opened in Prague in January, 1921, a play in which an Englishman named Rossum mass-produced automata. The automata, robots, are meant to do the world’s work and to make a better life for humans; but in the end they rebel, wipe out humanity, and start a new race of intelligent life for the robots themselves (Asimov, 1984). Robot does not have a specific definition itself, every dictionary has a slightly different definition. “Deciding if a machine is or is not a robot is like trying to decide if a certain shade of greenish blue is truly blue or not blue,” said Carlo Bertocchini, the owner of RobotBooks.com. “Some people will call it blue while others will vote not blue,” (Branwyn, 2004). This essay will limit the meaning of robot as what defined in the Merriam Webster Dictionary (2004), robot is a machine that looks and acts like a human being, an efficient but insensitive person, a device that automatically performs especially repetitive tasks, and something guided by automatic controls. As the technology grows more modern each day, scientists and programmers are creating and improving the function of robots. Nevertheless, many people are still debating should robots be developed more and should robots be used in everyday life. I disagree that the further development of robots should be remain...
In case of emergencies, robots could reduce the percentage of fatal damages that occurs through these cases. In fact, humans’ lives are much valuable and precious rather than robots, in which societies could use robots to scarify through the dangerous situation for the sake of rescuing people. In addition, dangerous situations such as firefighting or earthquake require much effort, precision, and scarifying in the evacuation process. Furthermore, a beneficial feature that could help robots to coexist through the risky situations easily and preform the rescuing mission perfectly is that robots do not have feelings or emotions. According to Bruemmer (2006), robots do not have the ability to realize or notify any aspect that people do not programmed them to do. In other words, robots are merely machines that cannot feel or recognize what surrounding them without a sophisticated program done by humans. Therefore, as robots do not have the ability of feeling or knowing they could go through inhumane conditions for saving people. Moreover, robots have various capabilities that make them unique enable them to do heavy duties and bear more serio...
