Confidential- Military Report
Subject: The war.
Date: December 1914
To Prime Minister Asquith
I am writing to inform you about the events that have taken place on
the Western Front. As you know, the war has been taking place for
sometime now, but im going to tell you the events that have happened
during August and December 1914.
As you may know our army has had to work around a few of the other
countrys plans. The Schlieffen plan has been one of the main plans
that has happened. But this had failed. Under this plan the Germans
wanted to capture paris then attack Russia so they wouldnt have to
split their army in two as they felt as if they would lose that way.
To do this they would have to go through Belguim and they thought
there would be no resistance from their army. They also thought that
Britain wouldnt want to fight against them while they were going
through Belguim. This plan did fail because of Belgiums resistance and
Russias army being prepared earlier than expected of the Germans.
Russia also had a plan of thier own and it turned out to be a success.
They managed to overwhelm Germany with the size of their army and get
it prepared in 10 days. This also helped the Schlieffen plan to fail.
Our army and France had a plan aswell. Which was called Plan 17. It
was a success as they managed to charge across the frontier and attack
Germany forcing them to surrender. The British Expeditionary Force was
well trained and equipped which meant they could go over to France
anytime and fight along side them. Most of these plans were all linked
to how the Schlieffen plan failed.
Also, there have been many important battles that have also taken
place that have started after these plans were devised. There has been
the Battle of the Mons which took place on 23rd August and the Battle
of the Marne which happened during the month of September. At the
During 1940-1970, the USSR and the USA were the world’s leading superpowers. After WW2, it was the US money that helped rebuild nearly all of Western Europe, putting nearly half a dozen countries into debt. They opened trade and helped Europe’s ravaged economy to get back onto its feet. They did so by creating the ‘Marshall Plan’ on June the 5th, 1947. The plans aim was to reconstruct Western Europe and at the same time to stop Communism spreading to them – the Americans were avid believers in the Domino Theory, and believed that communism would take over all of Europe if they did not intervene. They also created other policies such as the Truman doctrine on March the 12th, 1947 (which is a set of principles that state that the US as the worlds ‘leading country’ will help out other democratic governments worldwide) and NATO, 4th of April 1949.
Trained scouts would have given those elements in the defense more time to react to the impeding attack. This could have neutralized 2nd ACR’s speed and make them suffer heavy casualties. 2nd ACR most likely would have pulled back, set up defensive positions, and allowed the heavy divisions behind them to come forward and attack. The Iraqis would have had two options and this point, stay and attack or retreat further north towards

A while after the Vienna Summit the Soviets formed yet another policy with Cuba of 'Brinkmanship' seeing how far the Americans could be pushed before reacting. Although this strategy was a dangerous one the Soviets were thinking of the opportunities that could arise from this. One was the advantage of an east - West balance that the Soviets could start to infiltrate the Americas with their ideologies.

The Oxford Post is also the only post in the the state of Michigan that has a “Military History Museum.” It is a collection of uniforms, weapons, books, and other artifacts spanning over two hundred years of our American history. The museum is open to the public every Friday evening from 5-9 p.m.

Keeping the people of the United States safe from the ever rising threat of terrorism and continual conflict is an important task for this nation’s military. Distraction and lack of cohesion leads to failures and unnecessary casualties. A concentrated focus on the battles at hand is a key task in overcoming the world’s threats and to be ready to fully function in the capacity assigned. Preparation, before the need arises, leads to more lives saved and success in accomplishing the mission.

Today on April 10th, 1775 I awoke with a terrible hangover. Last night I was at the pub and already had a lot to drink, when a gentlemen approached me from the Royal Navy’s Recruiting Squad. I accepted the “kings Shilling” I was so naïve to fall into their trap. What have I done? I am now enlisted for life. I’m so upset; I can’t believe this is happening now. I feel as if my heart is in my stomach, and, my stomach is on the floor. This fells like a nightmare that I have yet awoken from. I just keep thinking what can I do to get myself out of this terrible nightmare? I was naïve enough to accept the kings sign on bonus, Since I accepted the sign on bonus, theirs no backing out, for the rest of my life!
I think that my Papa should get the “Military award” for being one of those men and women that fought for our lives in the army. My papa has done, and used many dangerous things in the army. All of those things I will tell you. Here is a quick fun fact: my papa has many badges for all of the heroic things he has done in the army. Here are all of my reasons for why my papa should get this “Military award”.
I received a package in the mail unexpectedly. I didn’t recognized the sender address, at all. I opened up the package, to find drawings with thank you notes from a 3rd grade class taught by @mohayanie. Countless parents, teachers, mentors, are a model for children. When you see a veteran, simply say, “Thank you.” Our kids learn from us. Talk with them about why you say thank you to the military members past and present at the airport, grocery store, etc. It is such a simple act of gratitude, but it means a lot to us veterans. She reminded all of the kids at school that veterans are everywhere. They are our teachers, first responders, postal workers, doctors, and store clerks. Moreover, we can thank them personally on Veterans Day and every
