Christians believe that all people are created in the image of God and
are equal in Gods sight. Therefore everyone should be treated equally
and have equal rights and not be treated cruelly. The first basic
right to everyone is the right to life.
"Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person."
(Article 3, The Universal Declaration of Human Rights)
"No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or
degrading treatment or punishment." (Article 5, The Universal Declaration of Human Rights)
The Catholic Church teaches that life begins at conception, so
abortion is always wrong. Abortion is the premature expulsion of a
foetus from the womb. Women that want an abortion undergo an operation
to kill the foetus that is living inside the womb. The Catholic Church
states that the natural law is that life begins when the ovum is
fertilised, as there is an unbroken continuum from conception to
birth. It is wrong to take someone's life therefore it is wrong to
have an abortion.
As Catholics we are raised up in the church and thought about the Ten
Commandments and we shall follow these commandments, if we are to be
loyal to our religion, our faith, God and our basic human rights. The
fifth commandment states,
"You shall not kill."
If we undergo or commit abortion we are doing just that, killing.
The Catholic Church states that every person has the 'right to life.'
A foetus is a person and abortion destroys its right to life, so it
too claims that abortion is wrong.
Abortion can never be allowed for Catholics. But still many people
feel they are right to have an abortion as a way to solve a situation
that they have got themselves into. Many people want an abortion
because they feel that they cannot cope with the upbringing of a
child, either for money reasons or because they are not yet ready to
be a parent. They are only young and realise what has happened and

Christian Beliefs About Sanctity of Life in Relation to Abortion Christians believe in the sanctity of human life. They believe it is sacred and should not be treated badly or discarded thoughtlessly. Christians believe that God created the world and everything in it. including a man of the same name. They also believe that God created the world for good.
Joni was swimming with her friends and drove into the water where she hit the bottom and fractured her vertebrae at the age of 17, becoming a quadriplegic and having to rely on help from her parents for the rest of her life. Joni was lost in her thoughts, which turned into depression with the idea of euthanasia, not wanting to be a burden to her family any more. Joni was focused on what she didn’t have anymore and could not see the blessing of what she still had. When life changes for the good people never question why, then when life changes for the bad they always question why. People ask; why God would allow people to suffer, or what good has ever come out of someone, living like this, in the end can people over come all obstacles.

Christian Responses to Abortion and Euthanasia Different Christians have different viewpoints on the issues of Abortion and Euthanasia. The Church of England states that life is god given and is to be; ‘Nurtured, supported and protected. ’ It views ending a human life at the beginning or end as; ‘A great moral evil.’ Also they have stated a case for ‘The rights of humans to be valued.’
Christian Attitudes to Abortion For Christians there are many sources of authority; leaders of the church, religious teachers, and even their own conscience. The main source however is the Bible; it helps guide Christians, and affects their attitude towards everyday life. Abortion, the act of terminating the life of a foetus (unborn child) before it has had a chance to live, was legalised in England in 1967 (The Abortion Act), however many Christians are still undecided on whether the act is morally correct.
in or agree with abortion and that's perfectly fine but it does not give them
Euthanasia, Abortion and the Church The Catholic Church has consistently taught that respect for human life is one of the most essential aspects of our faith. Life includes love, respect, community, and family. Each person is entitled their right to life, a responsibility to God, to live out their life from natural birth to natural death. Unfortunately, there have been horrifying incidents where people commit murders, assault and manipulate other people. One of the Ten Commandments clearly states
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I
Some women have accepted the definition that a woman’s prime role as wife and mother is to have control of one’s own body and mind (Reardon 3) .Once they had choices about life roles, they felt that they had the right to choose abortion or not. Any and every woman should have the ability to choose when to have a child in their lives. Many women feel that if they did not have the right to choose an abortion, they would have passed by many opportunities to create a better life for themselves. Some people might not agree with their decisions, but in the ends it is theirs.
Being a mother is a lifelong job that requires copious time, energy, and money. There are myriad different reasons in which a woman would consider getting an abortion. The decision is often tragic and painful for the mother. It is one of the biggest choices a woman will make. Many people have strong beliefs about abortion, and if a mother makes a decision that they do not agree with they sometimes turn against the mother, and enkindle egregious feelings about their decision for the rest of their life. Indeed a woman may not get an abortion for selfish reasons or out of convenience, but out of a desire to protect certain important values such as her own health or a decent standard of living for the other members of the family. Additional intentions for having abortion include rape, financial difficulties, obligation by family members, or danger to the baby’s health (Roleff
In examining religious opinions on abortion, one must find common ground on which to form a foundation of comparison. With most of the religions to date, that common ground lies on the argument of whether or not a fetus is an actual person. Some religions protest by saying a fetus isn't a conscious being -- therefore there is no loss in doing away with it. But for those religions that do believe there is a life -- or any spiritual being -- in a fetus, it is clearly a crime to have an abortion.
One of the most debated subjects throughout the world is abortion. Abortion is the premature termination of pregnancy by spontaneous or induced expulsion of a nonviable fetus from the uterus (Dictionary). In certain circumstances, abortion could be beneficial for the mother with factors such as: age, rape, financial stability, and complications that could long-term harm the potential mother and child. Women of all ages are entitled to their right to abort regardless of how morally right or wrong it may be. Some people believe abortion goes against their religious and cultural backgrounds. However, other people believe because it is the woman’s body they should be liable to do as they please. Whatever the situation
We cannot play God nor be so judgmental when others decide to make a choice that we do not sit comfortably with. They have to live their lives to the fullest and we must do the same. There are many cases where the woman was impregnated due to an assault, and decided to get rid of the child because it brings them so much hurt and pain knowing that this child that has been conceived was unintentional and would bring negative thoughts, behaviors and plenty of aggression to that child later in life. Some decide to keep the child but those that aborted them see that there is still hope for the future even if they do not have this baby at that moment. Some argue that the baby is not really a baby until after twenty-six weeks. The positive out looks of an abortion does not put weight the negative aspects of an abortion. But this does not give us the right to determine someone 's fate or future based off of their choice to abort a child. Many women become rape victims and must then choose to have the child or not and when that person decides to abort the world forgets her damage and begins to condemn. A woman has the choice to be as free as a bird with no cage. This is being described as having freedom to do whatever she wants and achieve her own goals while not living in anyone 's shadow. She could have the abortion but it should not be forced, or she
