It all began with a man named Rick who was a treasure hunter. He would travel all over Egypt to find gold and jewels in various historical temples. This time he was in Karnak searching in the Temple of Amun-Ra, the dwelling of the sun god. Rick assembled a selective team to help him on his exhibition. They were in search of the Book of Amun-Ra, also known as the Book of the Living. This book was the opposite of the Book of the Dead, instead of giving those who have died life to continue into the afterlife, the Book of Amun-Ra took life away. The real reason Rick was searching for this book was because it was made out of solid gold.
The team had a systematic way of searching places so the began with the first step. This was to map out the temple so they knew how much ground there was to search. The team was also prudent by finding all the exits to the temple in case of an emergency. After that they set up a base camp in the center of the temple, so that there was a central place for all of them to meet up at. The final step was to begin the search. Rick had the foresight to read the hieroglyphics of the walls to see if there were any hints to where the Book of Amun-Ra was hidden.

Finally the time came when the curator of the museum brought the whole team up on stage and personally thanked each of them for their more than generous contribution to the museum. There was a big case with a curtain over it, and the curator pulled it off revealing the Book of Amun-Ra. The Book was glowing brightly, and it filled everyone’s eyes with delight. The beauty of the gold was a real treat for the eyes. Rick’s eyes started to water up when he saw his baby daughter starring and smiling at the gleaming book. Seeing his daughter smile for a moment made risking his life and being away from his family all worth it.
...ased the brakes until coming to a complete stop. Juan and Glenn, knowing where they were going, went to the door leaving the dad alone to get the money. Upon entering the cabin, Juan asked him for the money. He replied quickly that first he needs to see his daughter. The children came out. There was a sudden movement by Glenn which attracted the attention on him long enough for Marianne’s father to pull out the pistol. He pistol whipped Juan and held the gun towards Rita. Rita suddenly started screaming in Spanish asking where Buck was. They told her he was dead and ordered her to put her hands above her head. He handed the gun to Glenn motioning him to stay here and watch the two as he went for the cops and took the others.

The song “As Time Goes By”, plays a specific role in connecting the past of Rick and Ilsa in Paris. The first time Ilsa walks into Rick’s cafe she asks Sam to play that very song. Sam at first seems hesitant because he knows the pain the song can put on Rick. The song brings him back to when they were happily in love, and the pain he felt when she didn’t show up at the train station. Just like the other guests, Rick tries to forget that pain by trying to never hear that song again. Sam eventually decides to play the song, and it turns out for the best. Rick even though remembering the hurtful past experiences, remembers the good ones as well. They eventually become reacquainted with each other. Rick is one of the main characters shown in the Walking Dead. Rick is an individual who typically calm, smart, and a good friend. He will often stubbornly cling to his personal strong moral code, which has resulted in numerous bad calls and extra stress within the group. Rick 's greatest fault, perhaps, is his uncanny ability to place responsibility on himself and set for himself goals that are impossible to reach. This has, on various occasions, put Rick at ends with both Lori and Shane, and often weighs heavily on his mind. Rick, a former sheriff, is now forced to break rules and laws that he once used to enforce before all hell broke loose. The Strain and Anomie theory, describes why Rick and his fellow survivors must result to a life of deviance. These theories are concerned with the internal and external pressures that drive people to crime and deviance. There are many external pressures within the show such as walkers and other bands of survivors trying to survive just like them. There are no moral institutions present anymore which results in a lack of moral direction. The institutions that once kept them in line are gone so they are now in a full state of normlessness. The only objective now is to survive, therefore, if that means violating social norms and committing acts such as murder and stealing, the characters will do whatever it

If I had the opportunity to select and go to one of the many civilizations that we have studied this semester, I’d time travel to ancient Egypt. It was a simpler time, you would work to survive and were usually paid in grain or seeds. Everyone bartered for what they needed. It would be nice to get away from all this social media that we have today, from Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Vine, to Instagram. Walking around campus, or even just walking around in general, most people I see have their faces glued to their electronics. We use social media to meet up with old friends or trying to rekindle an old relationship. Even when people want to find a date they use

In this show Rick Grimes, a sheriff's deputy, awakes from his coma and finds himself in a hospital. Rick and the survivors have been through a lot throughout the show, such as having to move from place to place to avoid being eating by walkers. After walking a longs way, they finally find shelter in an old prison where they now live. Although The Walking Dead shows a lot violence, it sends many positive messages to the viewers that teach them about survival, religion and betray and how each of these can be beneficial in the real world
