Treasure Hunt in Egypt- Fiction Writing

It all began with a man named Rick who was a treasure hunter. He would travel all over Egypt to find gold and jewels in various historical temples. This time he was in Karnak searching in the Temple of Amun-Ra, the dwelling of the sun god. Rick assembled a selective team to help him on his exhibition. They were in search of the Book of Amun-Ra, also known as the Book of the Living. This book was the opposite of the Book of the Dead, instead of giving those who have died life to continue into the afterlife, the Book of Amun-Ra took life away. The real reason Rick was searching for this book was because it was made out of solid gold.

The team had a systematic way of searching places so the began with the first step. This was to map out the temple so they knew how much ground there was to search. The team was also prudent by finding all the exits to the temple in case of an emergency. After that they set up a base camp in the center of the temple, so that there was a central place for all of them to meet up at. The final step was to begin the search. Rick had the foresight to read the hieroglyphics of the walls to see if there were any hints to where the Book of Amun-Ra was hidden.

Rick noticed on the wall there was a story of a pharaoh, who was very fastidious. He would send armies to conquer the Nile, which was a vital factor of every cities economy. It was used for trade, irrigation, and even drinking water. Whoever controlled the Nile controlled Egypt. There were many battles, and the pharaoh was gaining more and more of the Nile but many soldiers were dieing. ...r Rick arrived home. The team was reunited and told everyone the story from there perspective. Everyone there couldn’t believe how lucky they were to survive, and they were very thankful that the team did make it out of their with the precious cargo.

Finally the time came when the curator of the museum brought the whole team up on stage and personally thanked each of them for their more than generous contribution to the museum. There was a big case with a curtain over it, and the curator pulled it off revealing the Book of Amun-Ra. The Book was glowing brightly, and it filled everyone’s eyes with delight. The beauty of the gold was a real treat for the eyes. Rick’s eyes started to water up when he saw his baby daughter starring and smiling at the gleaming book. Seeing his daughter smile for a moment made risking his life and being away from his family all worth it.
