I found the book 1776 by David McCullough very enjoyable to read. McCullough did an amazing job at showing how armies were made up and the conditions they had to endure along with their families, his descriptive details paint a clear picture in the reader’s head that makes it easy for the reader to understand and somewhat makes it feel like you are there in the book.
