The white-collar workforces used to be dominated by males since the dawn of the working era. However, as time progresses, women are flocking to join these workforces everywhere around the globe. The days when majority of the women, who were to be found in the kitchen cooking for their cantankerous husbands whilst waiting for their husbands’ return from work, were long gone. Soon enough, equality of genders became a fundamental human right. In addition to that, some government especially the government of Europe went overboard by mandating unnecessary high level jobs quota system reserved exclusively for women disregard of their qualifications; thereby claiming it is able to create a level of equality for both men and women. However, this has imposed a new challenge for the working young men as their chances of a promotion would be given to a woman. Therefore, it is of utmost importance that the government should not unnecessarily reserve any percentage of high level jobs for women. Although it is believed that these quotas acts as a recovery to the lack of women, the number of its cons clearly outnumbers its pros as employment of high level jobs should based on equality with equal chances of job opportunity, and imposing these quotas will eventually compromise the quality of work due to the difference in personalities and make-up between men and women, and the lack of support of quota as some women themselves simply do not want quota to be implemented.

Equality should not be forced on people, be it in the field of education or family life. Instead, equality can only be achieved when those who are qualified enough earned these high level jobs regardless of sexes. There is also no point in giving the high level position for women who lack the qualification as it will deteriorate the company’s performance in a long term (or short term). The opinions of many women to defy gender quotas also proved that gender quota itself is not the best choice to balance up the number of men and women at the top. Therefore, it is wise that the government should opt for other solutions in order to balance gender equality than implementing quota.

I understand that the lack of women taking a role as a leader in a company does not apply as a good example speaking that it is gender inequality but based on the ability of the person of taking the job. But on the other hand, there is no reason that could explain why women are getting less pay than men when they both are working for the same job.Which also mean that there is no rejection stating that there is gender inequality when it comes together speaking of the wage gap between men and women. Back in the 1950’s, men and women had a defined place in society, the wives stayed at home, taking care of the household and kids while the husband was the breadwinner and provider of the essentials. But however, the 1950’s isn’t the only place where stereotypes have stopped women from being equal to men. It can be concluded that women are treated in terms of stereotyped impressions of being the lowest class and greater evidence can be found that there are large disparities between the women and the men 's class. It can be seen that women are more likely to play casual roles as they are most likely to take seasonal and part time work so that they can work according to their needs. They are hampered from progressing upward into the organizations as they face problems like lack of health insurance, sexual harassments, lower wage rates, gender biases and attitudes of negative behavior. However, this wouldn’t have hampered the participation of the women in the work force and they continue to increase their efforts which is highly evident in the occupational and job ratios of females in the industry.
