Before being enrolled in BA 101, my career path and perspective on majors were shaped by the organizations I was part. Although insightful, these organizations held a clear bias being geared towards Finance. Due to BA 101, I could discover my interest and skills, which inevitably led me to determine my major and minor while at McCombs. And although myriads of these resources exist, several represent particularly trustworthy sources including U.S. News & World Report, CollegeGrad.com and Careers.org. Moreover, cross-referencing that research’s findings among several sources will help substantiate and improve the information collected even further. In my degree plan, I realize that I will have to complete my general education classes including English, math, science, history, and the humanities. These classes have the ability to prepare me for the rigorous work that I will face within my core business classes. Program requirements vary based on each institution’s own specific curriculum. However common core courses in business administration programs are mostly centered on financial accounting, business law, economics, finance, organizational behavior, business management, marketing, human resource management and operations management . Through research of my career path, I realize that a Masters in Business Administration would be even more useful because it has the potential to attract potential investors. Median yearly wages for people with Business Management degrees range from $46,00-$115,000 .
