There are a few decisive moments in an individual’s life for which he is eternally grateful. A defining moment, when a choice of action or a road taken, sets the ball rolling on an extremely fulfilling path. I have found my path and I say this with ultimate conviction: what remains is the journey, the process of equipping myself in the best possible fashion.
I am a simple person, my interests are simple. My aspirations are, however, complex, like an intricate jigsaw puzzle. I call it a puzzle, not on account of lack of perception or clarity, but on account of new ideas that open up each time I look at my discipline, the immense possibilities, the ever widening reach and applications and the all encompassing nature of its presence in the world today. It seems to me as if I hold a palette of choices, each time I examine the subject, there emerges options that glint like freshly minted coins.
The ultimate fact end of any technology happens to be business viability. The most successful businesses today are those, which have succeeded in seamlessly merging technology, by taking into account their real world limitations, with management principals. This was a fact that was brought home to me in my professional foray. I realized that often it appears as if the two realms of the industry are speaking different languages. So to get a more detailed understanding of the other side of the story I have decided to take up graduate studies in Engineering Management.
My ultimate aim is to experiment and implement various business models with a strong perspective of Engineering viability, and I look to finally developing a business model without the inherent flaws of the existent ones, which will be standardized enough to absorb the impact of fut...

I have the inner resources to remain focussed on a long road. I believe that my learning is in itself a dynamic and joyous process which will unravel new success stories and reveal new destinations. As for now, I am devoted to the garnering of exhaustive knowledge.
As rightly said by Hippocrates “The life so short, the craft so long to learn”. I believe that a good mix of talent and dependability are a crucial and potent mix for success. Honing my skills with a Masters’ degree after completing my Bachelors’ Degree In Physiotherapy, I believe would help me develop an array of cross functional skills. Gaining technical expertise in the subject of physiotherapy and then whetting my skills during my internship, taught me to be precise and scrupulous towards every task at hand. Having successfully pursued this field for nearly 5 years, I believe that, if given a chance, these skills endow me with the knowledge to gain an opportunity to pursue higher studies at your prestigious university.
..., as well as the management experience, to one day open an engineering firm, an aspiration sparked by my parents who ran their own small businesses. I hope to learn how to tackle problems associated with building structures of unorthodox yet sustainable design so that, as a structural engineer, I could bring to reality art that can endure tumultuous storms and dynamic humans. I want to build structures that in turn build the future.
Every great civilization or dynasty has always had one thing in common – great structures. These mammoth man made marvels have stood the test of time and have magnetised volumes of information that are vibrant all over the city skyline. Coming from the Indian subcontinent, we still live in an era where old structures prevail amongst 21st century structures. Blessed with a keen eye to analyze and observe, I’ve always wanted to pursue a career where problems could be overruled through the inclusion of concepts and real time solutions. I have been a consistent performer since school days scoring a high 89.92% in grade 10 and an 85.16% aggregate in grade 12. I have always had an affinity towards mathematics which drove me towards my real passion - engineering. Naturally when considering tertiary study options, Civil Engineering was my first choice as I could see myself working in a field that allowed me to use various maths and physics concepts to solve problems instantaneously. The poise and versatility with which a civil engineer works fascinates me; which in turn led me to pursue my undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering at B.M.S College of Engineering, Bangalore – one of the oldest most prestigious autonomous institutions under Visvesvaraya Technological University.
In today’s rapidly increasing technological and post-modern environment where we are constantly being called upon to quickly grasp, rearrange, create and integrate new devices, ideas, and concepts that harmonize and fuses many different backgrounds
I have spent much of my college career working with people who need a hand up instead of working on namable honors. I enjoy volunteering, taking on difficult tasks and schedules, and being involved behind the scenes of good things. My largest interest is learning and I dedicate most of my time to it. My education journey has been through some setbacks, but I have continued to push forward and conquered. I have felt that I have a fixed mind set and just am not capable of achieving some things. After learning the difference between growth and fixed mindset I have realized that everyone is capable of learning anything through hard work and dedication.
In looking back at my achievements, I am proud to see my success in what I have put my mind to. As I have traveled my journey in life nothing could have prepared me for some of the challenges that I would be faced with. My younger years were spent with such an innocent view of the world. I wanted to grow up so fast and take in all I could; there was so much to see and do! The words of my mother still echo in my ear “One day you will understand when it happens to you.” I can not say that I awoke one morning with a sense of wisdom. My wisdom has been gained through a combination of many different experiences, accomplishments, and failures.
Since my childhood I used to believe in hardwork and I have been a keen observer and am well known for probing new avenues, always enthusiastic and ready with a chain of questions. Having been brought up in a strong and secure family, i have been blessed to have parents who instilled me with good values and principles. Education was always given first priority and there was no compromise for it. My parents’ support motivated me to reach my goals.

As I look back I can see several key points in my life that have led me to my current decision to apply to the Master’s program in Engineering Management. The first crucial step was to gain admission into one of India’s top Engineering colleges. This required focus and diligence that meant that my days in the last two years of high school began at 5 in the morning and ended at 10 in the night. All the while I became familiar with the basics of mechanics and electricity, solved Calculus, and learned to...
