STATEMENT OF PURPOSE “Curiosity Killed The Cat”, this is a pervasively venerated statement that holds true for the people who are highly inquisitive by nature, and I admit that I am one of those cats who got carried away by the fascination for technology. Every new day introduces a new invention to the world, may it be in the fields of automobile, manufacturing or more pragmatically in our day-to-day life.Industrial Engineering is one such particular field of engineering, which completely revolutionized the whole world right from the birth of wheel. As a kid, being inquisitive, I always wondered how a machine worked. My fascination grew for these machines till I got introduced to the field of Industrial Engineering. My imagination knew no bounds. The amalgamation of fascination and imagination provided the impetus to pursue Industrial Engineering as a career. That is when I got admitted into one of the most reputed colleges in Andhra Pradesh named ‘Koneru Lakshmaiah College of Engineering’ (Affiliated to the most widely respected, ANU). The initial years provided me with a strong and basic foundation of the fundamentals of Industrial & Production Engineering. As I progressed through my course, I got introduced to various subjects like Work Systems Design and Engineering, Quality Engineering Management and so on. During my course, I found there is a lot more to learn and to know in these topics. The books I used always had a long list of foreign authors in the reference section which can be used to make complete detailed study of some topics. The world of Industrial Engineering has infinite scope and numerous opportunities for growth and advancement. I found a real potential in these subjects to pursue it as a career. And this... ... middle of paper ... ...dequate experience. I believe that the broad overview gained during my undergraduate studies can be consummated only by the in-depth study that a Graduate study will entail. My field of interest being highly application oriented offers tremendous scope for development. Graduate study would give me frontline exposure to the technological advances made in this field and allow me to contribute to its immense development. The size, quality and diversity of the subject offer me a broader range of related areas that I could specialize in. With the kind of curricular that your institute offers, I can constantly be evaluated and updated and thereby improve my whole understanding and application of the subject. I would like to get an in-depth knowledge on this as it could be of immense use back here in India. I look forward to being a part of your esteemed university.

Also, one of the main processes mentioned was polymerisation and is something I already study in A-level chemistry, it is something that not only interests me, but is a personal career aspiration of mine. Reading this book gave me a determination to be the person who helps improve the future of the industry and provide an answer to the questions I always ask myself by studying this degree.
