“To live without regret, we must have a concrete purpose, continually setting goals and challenges for ourselves. Those who don't have challenges don't have responsibilities.” - C. Joy Bell C.
Hailing from a family which had always encouraged me to study and achieve my goals, I have completed my Bachelors in Engineering from GITAM(Gandhi Institute of technology And Management) University with a first class degree. It is after a good deal of self-evaluation that I have decided to pursue graduate studies in Engineering Management. This decision followed naturally after carefully considering my academic background, the areas of my interest, and my ultimate professional ambition. The way my father used to manage and marshall his subordinates in our family business to get the optimum result has developed a keen interest in me to choose engineering management. I have been enthralled by the commendable way of procuring the required work by a proper management technique. I have known the importance of proper management throughout my life and it has boggled my mind with its various aspects which has developed interest in me to take up the responsibility. Responsibility is a challenging phase of management and I have always welcomed challenges as they come for they have always brought the best out of me.
A certain parts of my undergraduate subjects like Management Information Systems, Software Management and Project Planning and Management have created a great impact in my mind and have always grabbed my attention and probed me to take a step further. This has ignited the spark in me and put light onto my goals. Having a consistent increase in my grades during my undergraduate level has nurtured me well to take up the challenges that I ...

I am aware that New York Institute of Technology expects very high standards from its students. On my part, I can assure you of hard work. I believe that my enthusiasm will enable me to meet those expectations. My consistency in all previous academic and co-curricular activities is what gives me confidence when I say this. Learning from my mistakes and never being humbled by any sorts of obstacles has moulded me into a better human being by giving me the courage to face life as it comes.
I am eagerly looking forward to join New York Institute of Technology.
“The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” ― Ralph Waldo Emerson-
“Forget your past, your customs, your ideals. Select a goal and pursue it with all your might. You will experience a bad time but sooner or later you will achieve your goal. A bit of advice for you: do not take a moment’s rest.” I like this specific phrase, because it encourages me to pursue my dreams even if I encounter failure. In my opinion, in the past when poor people from a different place immigrate starting a new life. They needed sense of motivation and they encounter different situation where they wanted to give up and some of them persisted.
“A person should set his goals as early as he can and devote all his energy and talent to getting there. With enough effort, he may achieve it. Or he may find something that is even more rewarding. But in the end, no matter what the outcome, he will know he has been alive.”
Too often, we become too caught up in our everyday mundane routines that we forget, or perhaps, never truly see what our purpose is. We forget what truly motivates us to live and what truly drives us to reach a greater goal. Oscar Wilde once said, “To live is the rarest thing in the world. Most people exist, that is all.” As I look at the people around me, I see ones who furnish their goals with intents of gaining wealth, success, or recognition. However, are they truly happy? How many times have you actually sat down and asked yourself, “why do I do what I do?”.
I have accomplished a lot in a short period; however, my journey is not complete until I continue my education. Essentially, this degree will help foster my growth and career success. My passion and dedication will speak for itself. My hard work and determination will prevail and I am a fit more than the next applicant because I have the passion, experience, critical thinking and analytical skills needed to complete this program through successfully arguing my capstone in front of a board or committee. My goals are definitely aligned with this program and I hope my next read is an acceptance letter from the admissions council.
“Life is a balanced system of learning, adjusting, and evolving. Whether pleasure or pain; every situation in your life serves a purpose. It is up to us to recognize what that purpose could be.” - Dr. Steve Maraboli
Real knowledge, like everything else of the highest value, is not to be obtained easily. It must be worked for, studied for, thought for, and, more than all, it must be prayed for”

Ever since I was a child, I have had a great interest for the automotive industry. From car trivia to novel innovations, my innate passion for the automotive industry has always made me research the minutest detail of every vehicle that interested me. Since elementary school I would draw sketches of cars which incorporated technology which were unheard of at that time; novel devices such as electrochromic windshields, HUD displays, and wind turbines which would constantly re-generate electricity for the car. While growing up, my hobbies largely consisted of constructing countless Lego and Meccano sets, and repairing my mom’s 19 year-old car. In middle school, math and science were my favorite subjects: applying science and mathematics to solve real-world problems has fascinated me and I have also taken further steps to reach my goals. By the age of thirteen I devised a scaled model of a heliostat power plant, which successfully powered a light bulb. The mathematics beyond the focus points of parabolic dishes and thermodynamics was very advanced for my age, but I took up the challenge...

This perfectly holds true for me in the world of Computer Engineering where novel ideas are not a novelty. It is this novelty that entices me to this field and gives me a deep sense of professional pride. In this context, I would like to pursue my graduation in Computer Engineering, which not only supplements the knowledge that I possess but also provides a strong platform for my future career goals.
The development of every nation hinges on the effectiveness of their transportation systems. Movement of goods, services and people to and from locations is made possible by transportation systems. The importance of effective transportation systems cannot be over-emphasized. Many countries face transportation problems and my country Ghana is no exception. A trip of about 30 minutes usually takes about an hour or more due to traffic jams. This is seriously impacting productivity and has become a topical issue in the country. The situation is the same in Uganda where I currently work. To this end, Transportation Engineers are needed to design roads/ highways that will stand the test of time, plan effective traffic management systems to reduce
I wish to hone my research acumen by pursuing MS in Supply Chain Management at the ___________ University. My passion for this research comes from two sources- intellectual curiosity and my experience.
From my perspective, excellent electronic engineers are a group of gifted and imaginative talents who bravely explore and innovate, change the world with passion and innovation. I have always dreamed of becoming one of them. For realizing this dream, I started from China 's Jilin University and then joined The University of Manchester for BEng (Hons) Electronic Engineering to take more advanced professional courses. In UoM, I managed to gain GPA of 4.0. Yet, my pursuit of the dream does not end there, since I plan to apply for M.S. program in Electrical and Computer Engineering in the Carnegie Mellon University, where I can receive the best education among the world.
People travel miles in search of their true passion; some find them early in their life and I consider myself lucky enough to be one among them. I found my true calling at the age of 12 on a field trip to a milk factory. It seemed like the Disneyland of science with huge machineries, conveyer belts running all around, and instruments working about in their own rhythm with sheer intricacies and perfection. As a kid, I was eager to understand the mechanics behind this magical rhythm. The desire of gaining in-depth knowledge about Control System and Automation eventually led me to choose Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering as my undergraduate study.
