This spring was my first spring break that I actually left Eden Prairie. It was my first time out the state of Minnesota. I went to San Diego, California with my mom. We stayed at the Hilton Resort and Spa in the Mission Bay area of San Diego.
My mom and I left for San Diego at 7:15 and we landed in Phoenix for our connecting flight to San Diego. The plan ride from Minnesota to Phoenix was 3 hours. This was the first plane I have ever been on and enjoyed most of the plane ride. I most enjoyed taking off and landing. Most people would think I'm crazy but I actually enjoy the turbulence. Make the plane ride interesting. I didn't enjoy the seats at all. They weren't comfortable but I wasn’t expecting them to be. The entire plan ride there I listened to music and played games on my phone. I was very lucky that I got an aisle seat or I would have been uncomfortable for the entire plan ride to Phoenix. My mom and I left around 10 from the Phoenix airport. And we landed in San Diego, California.
Arriving there felt so good. Even though it was late, the excitement kept me going. My mom and I took a taxi to our resort and I just loved looking around the city. It is so different from Minnesota. There were palm trees everywhere. The air had a different smell. Everything just felt so different, which to me felt great. I needed this break to get away from Minnesota weather. Once me and my mom arrived we got checked into our room. Our room was a lake side front, it was the best room I have ever stayed in. Once my mom and I got into out room, we immediately went outside too look around. We were right on mission bay and the view was amazing. Even at night it was magnificent. I decided to watch a movie with my mom at 1 o'clock in the morning. ...

...first time I ever drove and the first I have been on in a very long time.
Our trip back to Minnesota was one of the worst. Our first flight was behind we would have missed our connecting flight from LA to Minnesota. So we had to wait for about two hours more for a flight to Phoenix and then back to Minnesota. Once we got to Phoenix around nine we had a three hour delay til our flight back to Minnesota. While waiting for our flight back I watched Ride Along. The movie was great and the time flew by. Out flight back home left at midnight and was about a four hour flight to Minnesota. Because of the time change we didn't land until five in the morning. We took a taxi back to the hotel where we had our car parked. We had to brush off all of the snow on the car. We didn't get home until 6:45. Other then the flight home I had a great spring break. One to sure to remember.
We started our travels down in Columbus Ohio. The week leading up to the big move we spent at Deer Creek State park, for a family reunion, where my dad and step mom, had the chance to see everyone again, before the journey began. Over all we had taken nine days to get to our destination. First stop, Saint Louis, Missouri, we stopped to see the Gateway Arch. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be, so of course I was pretty amazed. The first few days were our longest driving days, but sense we broke up the days, our longest day was eight hours. The second day was the worst, Oklahoma is so boring to drive through, and nothing but flat crop farms, and wind turbines everywhere you look. We drove till we got about seventy five miles from the boarder of New Mexico, And Oklahoma. We got up early and began a shorter dive to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where we went to Petroglyph National Monument, yeah it was interesting, but after you see a few hundred, they all start to look the same. The next morning we took a beautiful hike and took many pictures to capture the moment. Other than getting there, my favorite part of the trip, was Arizona, where we stayed four days in Flagstaff, one day in Holbrook, and one day in Phoenix. I wouldn’t mind if I lived in Arizona, it’s a very beautiful state. My family and I stopped by the Petrified Forest National Park, and I
As my family and I walked into the plane, we were excited. The plane ride to jamaica stopped in L.A. and, after that, it went to jamaica. When we arrived in Jamaica it was really hot, but it was wet. I immediately took off my sweater I was wearing on the plane. We took a bus to our hotel. Then we started swimming in the water park. Every night there was a show in the main stage. The next day we woke up early to go to chukka. It was awesome. We saw a great house, rode on horses, and did a challenge course. After we came back from Chukka, we went to the water park and swimming pool at the hotel. Then we ate at fresh, which we went most of the time. The next day we woke up earlier to go to the dolphin cove. The bus was an hour late, but the wait
My family and I were all headed down to a Mt Shasta campsite. We always went there in the summer with a close family friend.
It was a cool, June morning, I had my bags packed and ready to go, and just like that I was on the road to Niagara Falls! We started by getting up at five O'clock in the morning.I remember waking up to the smell of french toast, bacon, and eggs. We packed our bags in the truck, then hit the road!
The best trip I have ever been on is when my mother, stepdad and I went ice fishing last year.the lake we was poinsett lake which is here in South Dakota up north and east of estelline. It was a very fun and successful trip. It was especially fun because we had just bought an new Polaris four wheeler that we took on the trip.
I have taken many vacations over the years I have been to Illinois, Kentucky, Texas, and I have also gone to Florida many times. The most recent vacation was when I went to Florida for my senior spring break, with my grandma Linda. We drove all the way there and all the way back, while we were in Florida we stayed with my aunt Fran’s house in Bonita Springs.
My youth pastor pulled out of our church parking lot at three am in the morning loaded down with a bus full of twenty four teenagers including me. We were off at last head to Colorado Spring Colorado, little did I know, our bus was going to fall apart this very day.
It took about 45 minutes to get the airport. Thoughts were rushing through my mind the whole time of what Florida would be like. I had gone twice before, but I was really young and I couldn't remember anything from those trips. My cousins met us at the airport and my grandparents
I learned that when you drive for 8 hours you see things that that you never see anywhere else. Looking back It was more amazing just the ride then Mount
My first trip to Lake Chelan was the best way I've ever spent a Labor Day weekend. My best friend's family invited me to go with them and although there were some downs, the ups were even better. This trip was important because I have never had more fun in my life!
Have you ever had a day that you never wanted to end? The soothing sound of waves slowing crashing on the beach, the sweet smell of the salty pacific, freezing cold water nipping at your toes. That’s my paradise. Tampa Florida has been part of my life growing up, my grandparents have always lived there during the snowy winter months in Michigan. My family always travels to Florida to visit them over spring break and we always have an amazing time. But the spring break of 2012 was by far the best. Trekking to the beach every morning and soaking up the sun, playing volleyball and swimming with my family, venturing to new places and just exploring the city. I could not think of a more perfect vacation.
As we arrived I got more and more excited like a little kid on Christmas. Everyone was so anxious to jump out the truck to get some fresh air that no one notice that we had to unload all that luggage. The warm summer air ran across me so swiftly and the sound of the cars in traffic on the street next to us was like music to my ears. The sound of the beach and the waves and seagulls ring through my ears. I loved the sound of the big city. We stood and waited
During Spring Break I went to Memphis, Tennessee with a couple of friends. The first day we were there we decided we wanted to have some of the Memphis famous ribs. We did not know which restaurant was the best one to go, but with some research online we found this place called Rendezvous. It had five stars on Yelp and Trip Advisor and several good reviews. People were saying they served the best ribs in town, their service is great, and the location is very interesting. All these were green lights for me and my friends to go there, so we did. I was surprised to see that the place seemed like it had not change a thing since 1948 when they first opened. They have a unique vibe, memorabilia all over the walls, and the aroma of great barbecue. There were several people in line when we got there, but the place and the smell made us stay and wait in line to get a table. After asking for a table they gave us their menu to see. This helped us get ready
I was able to spend a lot of time with my family, our friends, and play all sorts of games. This experience made me start to like traveling. Every time I would get the chance to travel, I will take that chance. We were able to go to a theme park, eat many delicious foods, and play many video
My most memorable family vacation took place two years ago. We went to Corsica, a French island situated in the south of France right next to Italy. I remembered waking up early excited to visit this new land. Used to take long flights, I was surprised to arrive to the destination after a one-hour flight. Even though the flight was short for me, it was stressful for my mom, she has never felt secured in a plane, probably due to the fact that she is afraid of height. When finally arrived at the destination, the dry and warm weather was there to welcome us. We all felt relief, and knew that this was the beginning of the summer. Excited, we had a lot of activities planned for the few weeks, me and my father could not wait to dive in the clear
