Socially, entrepreneurship empowers citizens, generates innovation and changes mind sets. These changes have the potential to successfully integrate developing countries into the global economy. Economically, entrepreneurship stimulates markets by not always inventing or producing new things but introducing and exploring new and better dimensions. The formation of new business leads to job creation and has a multiplying effect on the economy because it lead to economic growth and expansion; social entrepreneurs serve as wide-ranging examples of motivation, purpose, selflessness and ability, especially among the young generation, seeing other successful in their own ventures and making positive impact in society can encourage other young people to come with excellent ideas and try solving societal problems as well.
Apart from contributing a great deal to creation of jobs, growth to the rate in productivity and value added, Gielnik M.M. and Frese M. (2013), Entrepreneurs create and bring to life new technologies, products and services and create new markets and jobs along the way. Entrepreneurs are smart risk takers, implementers, rule-breakers; or in a word; innovators that can and are contributing to the growth of South African economy. Entrepreneurs produce solutions that fly in the face of established knowledge, and they always challenge the status quo, they are always coming up with better and more effective ideas. They are risk-takers who pursue opportunities that others may fail to recognise or may even view as problems or threats.

Social Entrepreneurship can be used as a strategic approach to increase equality in South Africa, it can also contribute to closing the social deficit by providing essential social services, such as health care and education, to those without access. As such, it can be argued that by working in line with governmental efforts for a better South Africa, Social Entrepreneur can increase social capital within society. Social Entrepreneur can also create environmental value; an increasingly important aspect needed to reach a sustainable society
