Content Delivering Problem

Most companies are dependant on e-mail to get their internet content delivered to their target audience to build a relationship with them as a marketing strategy.As well as companies ,consumers are depending on e-mail to receive the content they want to receive and stay in touch with the companies.The problem that prevents relationship is delivery.

Most of the internet content never reaches your recipients.There are several reasons such as ;E-mail content can be blocked by spam filters or stopped by recently changed e-mail addresses, and sometimes recipients don’t read it.

The Search Engine Problem

For most of the website, search engines are the #1 traffic generator in order to

get high rankings .If the consumers cannot reach the company that they want that cause competing problem for the company.

Keeping –up to date Problem

When the new information published ,the company need to make the information available quickly via the Internet and inform the users .Sometimes users can not reach useful information.

Solution

RSS has been used for dealing with these problems.

What is RSS?

RSS, which stands for "Really Simple Syndication" or "Rich Site Summary", is a format for delivering regularly changing web content. RSS formats are specified in XML (a generic specification for data formats). and delivers its information as an XML file called an "RSS feed", "webfeed", "RSS stream", or "RSS channel.

A brief history of RSS

RSS version 0.90,original RSS, was designed by Netscape as a format for building portals of headlines to mainstream news sites in 1999.it was extremely complex for its aim so a simpler version, 0.91, was evolved but dropped due to Netscape’s interest lost in the portal-making business. After that UserLand Software picked up 0.91 and planned to use it as the basis of its weblogging products.
