As years pass, more and more gadgets, machines, forms of transportation and foods are being improved because of the technological advancements. Even the life of humans is improved by the years, where the life expectancy is increasing because of the developed medical research, medicines, and medical equipment. However, developed biomedical methods such as cloning are controversial, and in fact 93% of all Americans oppose cloning. Because of the controversies against this practice, the United States would not open the door to reproductive cloning, and this led to a debate between the government, and scientists and bioethicists- who are supporting human cloning. Although the critics of human cloning fear that this biomedical practice would create an unpleasant environment, inequality and contradicts with religious aspects and beliefs, cloning can help infertile women to reproduce, help cure diseases and help restore the sanctity of life.
Human cloning is bombarded with unjustified predictions that the supporters of cloning find it risky. Cloning is another medical advancement if it will be legalized. Cloning is duplicating the gene of a species where it will make an exact copy of DNA of the particular species, resulting in the existence of two identical species. Human cloning is a very controversial and frightening concept, for people think that cloning will be equal to robots, not a real person/ species, and simply because they think that the people will be crazy seeing the environment with identical species of people walking on streets; these are the same fears that the critics are predicting. Critics and writers are predicting the horrors that could happen; for example, stories about a cloned woman who was not as talented as he...

Essay on Human Cloning: Is it Ethical or Not? - Reproductive human cloning is a form of asexual reproduction done in a lab, not by a sperm fertilizing an egg. This issue has been a hot topic for the past decade after Dolly the sheep was cloning in Scotland. Dolly was the first cloned mammal, whose very existence created much heat in the general public (Hansen, 2004). Many people believe that cloning is ethically immoral and should never be done, but others think that scientific advances can greatly cure diseases. Michael Soules, a professor and director of the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Washington, concurs with the idea that reproductive human cloning is unethical....   [tags: Cloning]

Essay about The Promise of Human Cloning - The Promise of Human Cloning Cloning opens many doors of opportunities in the agricultural aspect of the United States of America. It has already been a major factor in saving the lives of many humans. I feel the society as a whole can not and should not degrade this scientifical finding. I feel that human cloning should not be done and that this subject raises too many ethical questions. I would like to focus on an agricultural aspect if I may. People raised hell when animal parts were put into humans to save lives and today it is an accepted part of medicinal science....   [tags: Cloning Argumentative Persuasive Argument] 986 words

Cloning is not yet approved for humans in the United States of America as a genetic reproduction created by scientists, since it is a complex experimentation but I agree with it being approve. As a definition we can say that cloning is the act an asexual reproduction perfectly done with an example of DNA in the physiological and biochemical experiment with an original cell....   [tags: Genetic Engineering ]

Genetic engineering is when parts of DNA are spliced into another piece of DNA which give new traits to the organism containing the DNA. Through continued research in the field of genetics, techniques such as mapping genomes and splicing DNA can be used beneficially to improve on existing organisms and their traits. A clone is a duplicate - much like a photocopy is a duplicate, or copy, of a document (Kolate, 238). A good example of copies that occur in nature are identical twins, which are duplicates of each other. On a daily basis, molecular geneticists and other scientists use cloning techniques to replicate various genetic materials such as gene segments and cells (Kolate, 238)....   [tags: essays research papers fc]

Cloning Essays - Cloning The most significant problem our world has with newfound controversies is that most people take one side on the issue before they become educated on the topic at hand. This is the same problem that I see with the controversial issue of cloning. Whether one argues for or against the cloning of humans or animals, most people leave out the ethics and morals behind the issue. People see movies like Multiplicity, starring Michael Keaton (a movie in which Michael Keaton clones himself multiple times in an attempt to make his life more enjoyable), and they think to themselves that cloning themselves might be pretty cool....   [tags: Papers] 1269 words
