The literary Methamphetamine: The World’s Most Dangerous Drug (2006) briefly demonstrates and elucidates the jeopardizes and current situation about the narcotic methamphetamine. Methamphetamine which is also called meth is a powerful drug that can bring addicts 6-12 hours of excitement;in addition, during the time the addicts will become extremely energetic and strong. However, at the time of people take the advantage from meth, meth will also destroy both humans’ body and brain. The damage from meth is 3 1/2 times more powerful than the cocaine. By the telling the story about the addicts, the literary also demonstrates the metamorphosis of humans’ body after they taken drugs. Metamorphosis is hard to be prohibited by government because the process and cost of producing meth is extremely easy and low; people can manufacture meth in their back yard by a very low cost. This is also the main reason meth is spread so quickly not only in North America but also in word wide; therefore, many tragedies have happened throughout the time. After the first time I watched this lecture, apprehension, anger and sympathy had taken over my mind. During the time I watch the video, what stood out the most about the lecture was the apprehension of the methamphetamine. First of all, I am so surprised about how much damage which the meth can hurt human beings. The meth is able to wreck human so horrible that almost nobody can realize or imagine what the addicts’ features look like before. King Corrections Officer reviewed the transformation of an addict’s feature between before and after he take the meth, and his description about this man changed into “helpless, pitiful” from “tough”. However, the worst section about meth is not its’ destructive po... ... middle of paper ... ...ilies’. Michael Wamsley and Janelle Hornsby were almost killed themselves because they driven on the highway after addicting meth; moreover, they were still high many hours, the police came and rescued them. Janelle’s mother thought the behavior that her daughter did is such a waste of time. If Wamsley and Janelle haven't addict to meth in the party, they will never face the accident; still, their family will never lose hope on their child. Methamphetamine is one of the most dangerous drugs in the world, which is widely spread and popular in globalization is hurting not only the the person who taken drugs but also their family. The thoughts and emotions that come to my mind make me strongly believe any human in the world should try to stay away from the meth because there are no other things more important than protecting themselves, and the people they love.
