Human Nature and the Declaration of Independence
I would like to show that the view of human nature that is shown in The
Declaration of Independence is taken more from the Bible and that that view is
in disagreement with two of the three esays given in class. The Biblical
perspective of man is that he was created by a divine Creator with a specific
plan in mind and made in the image of his Creator. Men are entitled to the
pursuit of happiness but also required by the Laws of Nature and Nature's God to
be the just attendants of the land and of the governed. The Nature of man is
sinful so that they must be governed but those who govern must be accountable to
God just as the founding fathers were. God is Sovereign over men as the final
Judge.
The Declaration of Independence is a document co-written by the
founding fathers in order to declare their independence of the Crown of Britain.
They belived this to be within their rights indowed upon them by their Creator.
Believing that they were under religious persecution and certain forms of
"absolute tyranny" from Britian the founding fathers felt it was necessary to
break the bonds that connected them to the monarchy. Not only did they feel they
had the God given right to do that but they also based their arguments on the
workings of governments of the time and contemporary theories of government of
writers and political-social thinkers of their time.
The three essays that were given to us in class, Politics by Aristotle,
Of Commonwealth by Thomas Hobbes, and Of the Limits of Government by John
Locke are all very intersting essays on how government is supposed to funtion.
Although the founding fathers probably read all three of these essays and
simialar philosphical thought went into the writing of The Declaration of
Independence I think that the only essay of the really used by the founding
fathers was Of the Limits of Government by John Locke. Unfortunately the
version of this essay given to us in class was truncated and consisted actually
of two different essays written by John Locke. . Thomas Hobbes [1588-1679] is
the founder of the theories of Hobbism which calls on absolute monarchy in order
to deal with what he calls inherently selfish, aggrandizing nature of humanity.

...place to God, and afterwards to the laws."
It seems pretty clear to me when I readThe Declaration of Independence
and when I read quotes from the founding fathers and their contemporaries that
it was the work of strong Bible believing men that first made the monumental
leap in breaking union with Britian. Unfortunately their words and lives have
gone by the wayside in our hearts and minds.Instead of learning about George
Washington's famous words of Christian faith or how he emerged unscathed from
battle with his uniform riddeled with bullet holes our History books teach us
all about how he could not lie when he chopped down the cherry tree. If men such
as Hobes and Aristotle could have even welled up enough courage in their cold
and timid souls 200 years ago to break the tyrrany of the British, I strongly
believe that our country would have quickly decayed in immorality and greed.

of God."

When in the course of the household we, the teens, have always had the responsibility of doing the chores around the house. When oneself has to do chores one has to miss out on hanging out with friends, going to the mall, et cetera. Of course we do not wish to be disrespectful toward our parents but it is now time that we write our own Declaration of Independence. It is important that our parents or guardians know how everyone feels about the chores that have been placed on us and why we should be independent.
The diversity among people is widely spread throughout the world. One can be grouped into various ways. People come in all shapes, sizes, colors, personalities, genders, and interests. LIfe would be hectic for someone to try and categorize people in every way possible. At least people are not the only thing impossible to fully separate. Animals and plants can also be placed into different categories. People can be classified into three categories: Leaders, Followers, and Independents.
The Declaration of Independence includes four parts. The first part is the Preamble, which explains why the Continental Congress drew up the Declaration. They felt their reason should be explained to England.
There are many important factors in the Declaration of Independence, which enable the foundation of a new government. These range from describing grievances with England, to how government should be run differently, to the first statement of separation. The first step to the foundation of a new government is the uniting of a people in a common goal. Since all people were feeling violated by English soldiers, it was necessary to state these grievances in order to make people aware that they are not alone. When people learned that others felt the same as them emotion was stirred. The Declaration of Independence listed the grievances such as, “He has erected a multitude of new offices, and sent hither swarms of officers to harass our people and eat out their substance.” The next important step to the foundation of a new government was to gain peoples ambition by showing how the government would be run if a new party took over. This goal was achieved by stating the rights of man. “We hold these truths to be self evident: That all men are created equal; that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights; that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” This statement made people hopeful and feel kindly toward this new government. The final step in the preparation for a new government was separation from the old government. This was declared twice in the Declaration of Independence. In the beginning, “That to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, driving their just powers from the consent of the governed,” and in the end, “that these united colonies are, and of right ought to be, free and independent states; that they are absolved from all allegiance to the British crown, and that all political connection between them and the state of Great Britain is, and ought to be, totally dissolved. In conclusion, the Declaration of Independence was able to motivate people, give them ambition, and made it simple for Americans to take action.
Nonprofit organizations provide socially desirable services without the intention of realizing a profit. They have no ownerships shares that can be sold or traded by individuals, and any excess revenues over expenses is used to enlarge the service capability of the organization. They are financed, at least partially, by taxes, contributions, grants and/or state contracts.
“With malice towards none; with charity for all; with firmness in the right, as god gives us to see the right, let us strive to finish the work we are in; to bind up the nations wounds; to care for him who shall borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphaned child-to do all which may be achieved and cherished a just and a lasting peace among ourselves, and with all other nations”-Abraham Lincoln, Second Inaugural Address (Great Documents of America 19).
A common error that people make is that the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4th our national Independence day in the United States, but the truth is that the document was only approved on July 2nd and wasn’t even signed until August 2nd. The document was signed by 56 colonial delegates, and was used to explain why they want to break free from Britain. This document consists of 4 parts, statement of purpose, the contract theory of government, grievances, and the conclusion, the two major parts are the contract theory of government, grievances; they make up the bulk of the document. The colonists wanted to officially split from Britain due to the many unjust things Britain had done. The Declaration of Independence was a list of those unjust things and who gave them the authority to split.
Ilhan (2013) contends non-profits have gradually become excellent instruments for the promotion of a variety of objectives including, but not limited to charities, religious organizations and associations that provide support to individuals suffering with different types of diseases (p. 132). Within these tax-exempt organizations, there are several different classifications which differentiate these organizations. For instance, non-profit organizations are characterized as being either publicly supported charities, public safety charities, supporting organizations or private foundations. Publicly supported charities can range from schools and hospitals to religious organizations that may obtain the support of the public support mainly through donations, grants and contributions from the public. Supporting organizations are organizations that are important within public service. These organizations may not be not publicly supported; however, they are closely linked with non-profit organizations that are supported publicly. For example, hospital foundations or hospitals that are created to support schools would be considered as supporting organizations. Public safety charities are exactly what the name states. This form of organization is devoted to testing for and the promotion of public safety. Examples of this form of charity can be the American Red Cross’ cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) classes that are offered to citizens. Many private foundations grant revenue to public charities. A good example of this form of foundation can be seen in the United Way. This tax-exempt organization allows the public to contribute to the funds that are offered by this organization so that the grant making programs within can be f...
One part is the inferiority complex and birth defects or birthmarks are nobody can define it, such as cleft lips, ear deformities, skeletal deformities. Clearly nowadays. The surgery can help manage potential real action in the mouth and teeth better. Such as orthodontics, cutting out the gum. From my experience, I have heard from my friends that her surgery by orthodontic treatment. She was not beautiful teeth from birth. She admitted that she did not like it. She made every effort to resolve it. Until her doctor the surgery. He advised her surgery, orthodontics until the day her teeth as she intended. Obviously, plastic surgery can remove the inferiority complex or birth defects of the body. Julie Lewin said that“Surgery often a series of surgeries done as the person grows – corrects birth defects and restores normal functioning and appearance.”(2016). The surgery is a great help for correcting this defect. Confirmed by the words of Abigail Aaronson "Plastic surgery offers many benefits for patients. Having cosmetic work done can be quick, inexpensive, and can deliver great results."(2014) furthermore, Salman Abbas said that “Cosmetic surgery helps greatly in restoring confidence among people with shaky behaviour and to some extent it assists such people in getting rid of multiple complexes, which can undermine their performances.” (2011). All this is confirmed so that surgery can help make your
What is the Declaration of Independence? The declaration of independence states that all individuals have inalienable rights, requiring life, liberty, and property, a document by which the thirteen colonies proclaimed their independence from Great Britain. If these rights are not protected, people have the right to abolish the government and institute a new one that is willing to secure those rights and their happiness. The declaration was written by Jefferson when he had the vision that America should be liberal. While liberals wanted to over through the government, conservatives believed that not every person should receive the same privilege, not every person is the same and therefore, not every person should be created equal. America is viewed as a liberal state. Thomas Jefferson once said, “When the people fear the government, there is tyranny, when the government fears the people, there is liberty.” This was the strongest reason for the people to bear arms, so that they can be protected from tyranny in the government. People wanted their independence.
The housing in Los Angeles is not enough for the population and the current policies have not focussed of the solution to these problems (Varady et al., 2005). Providing temporally housing and short-term jobs to the chronically homeless people does not reduce the number of homeless people in the city but only covers the problem for a while. Acting to the urgent of those without shelter for long is important but solving the root to the problem is what needs to be done. The government of the United States pays private landlords rent for the sake of the enlisted Section 8 beneficiaries but most of the house owners are not in full support of this move. Most of them prefer to rent their houses at the market rate. There are other more homeless people who have not benefited from this policy because they do not qualify yet they still have shelter. The trend in the rent is a cause for alarm and the number of homeless people will increase as soon as more are unable to afford rent and face evictions. The government continues to subsidise rent through Section 8 policy but the society should take up the challenge of contributing towards reducing homelessness. Inadequate employment has forced the poor people out of houses and the society is expected to do their social duty in respect to the homeless in the
This may be difficult due to corruption within the criminal justice system. When police officers and administrator successfully operate within the law, the public feels safer. This is important to police systems, administration, and practices because in order to enforce the law, you must first abide by it. The deontological ethical systems relate to legality when it comes to police corruption and upholding the law. According to the deontological ethical systems, the nature of one’s action must be morally right, adhering to the rules of their position. Referring back to the ethical dilemma in the introduction, as a police officer you have a duty and moral obligation to following police procedure and protocol. Although pulling the Chief of Police over is a good act and is for the greater good of the people, it would still have bad consequences. “When the consequences of a decision are bad, the teleological or consequentialist ethical system does not support it” (Miller,
Throughout U.S. history the nonprofit and government sectors have addressed needs that are not being met by the marketplace through the provision of a variety of social goods and services ranging from health and human services to environmental conservation. In response to increased demand for these services, the number of nonprofits has grown by 59% over the past 20 years (Powell and Steinberg, 2006; NCCS, 2010). There are now over 1.5 million nonprofit organizations in the U.S. which account for 5 percent of GDP, 8.1 percent of the economy’s wages, and 9.7 percent of jobs (Wing, 2008). Over the same time period, government social programs also rapidly expanded in number and per capita cost (OCED, 2010) .
Cosmetic Surgery is a great discovery that has been around for many centuries. “The history of plastic surgery origins in the early 800 B.C. when surgeons in India restored noses to persons who had them taken off as a form of punishment.” (History of Cosmetic Surgery, 2008) Many people have used over the years cosmetic and reconstructive surgery to enhance their physical appearance weather it be for health problems associated with birth defect or problems that they have developed over the years or to even alter physical appearances for instance nose jobs and tummy tucks. There are numerous types of cosmetic surgery that can be done today in the United States, over the year’s surgeons techniques have improved dramatically. There are a number of pro’s and con’s that go along with cosmetic surgery, such as the amount of recovery time and the initial cost of surgery. Statistics also show that cosmetic surgery has grown so rapidly over the years it is phenomenal people who receive cosmetic surgery goes up by the millions every year. While there can be many related health risks due to cosmetic sugary, many times cosmetic surgery is necessary and its is made more affordable than thought to be.
Red Bull has becoming hugely successful and operates within the global soft drink marketplace. Within the soft drink industry its niche is the ‘energy drink’ market, of which Mateschitz was largely responsible for creating. Red Bull currently is the leading energy drink across the entire globe. It holds 70% of the market worldwide (Gschwandtner, 2004). Once the drink was passed by health ministries, Red Bull entered the Austrian market, soon thereafter then moved into Germany, United Kingdom and the USA by 1997.
