How technology enhances the physical education curriculum
In order to improve the physical education curriculum educators must incorporate technology to enhance computer literacy, develop software that complements physical education and integrate technology to enhance performance. The world we live in today is filled with technological advancements and we are only going to become more and more technologically oriented as a society in the future. These new advancements in technology are improving our lives and making things possible we had never thought possible before now. As well as these changes in our daily lives, technology has also changed the face of education, specifically physical education. As educators searching for the best possible way for our students to learn we must use everything we can to enhance learning and to enhance the curriculum. Technology continuously provides us with opportunities to improve our learning making it easier to access many things that before were just not possible. Technology enables us to do things that a lot of us take for granted but because of technology we have access to the world without leaving the confines of one room. There are many new ways use and incorporate technology in physical education in order to improve and enhance the physical education curriculum. With the prevalence of all these technological advancements it is unbelievable that most teachers don’t take advantage of it more to help us to enhance the physical education curriculum.
The need to incorporate technology in the classroom is extremely great. With the increasing obesity trends most likely due to lack of inactivity children are suffering from more and more health related problems. “Doctors are alarmed about ...

If the soldiers who fought in the American Revolution were alive today to see what our nation has accomplished, they would cry tears of joy. These people defined their freedom as having an independent country where everyone would reunite and live under a set of laws where they all have equal rights. The novel, 1776, emphasizes the emotions that Americans had when the Declaration of Independence was signed through the following lines, “The year 1776, celebrated as the birth of the nation and for the signing of the Declaration of Independence, was for those who carried the fight for independence forward a year of all-too-few victories, of sustained suffering, disease, hunger, desertion, cowardice, disillusionment, defeat, terrible discouragement, and fear, as they would never for...
Cars changed the way people lived, worked, and enjoyed leisure time; however, what most people don’t realize is that the process of manufacturing automobiles had an equally significant impact on industry. The creation of the moving assembly line by Henry Ford at his Highland Park plant, introduced on December 1, 1913, revolutionized the automobile industry and the concept of manufacturing worldwide.
Ford was able to make a reliable and inexpensive automobile primarily because of his introduction of the innovative moving assembly line into the process of industrial manufacturing. The assembly line is a system for carrying an item that is being manufactured past a series of stationary workers who each assemble a particular portion of the finished product.

Amongst all the classes students are required to take from elementary to high school, the one that students are most excited to participate in is physical education. Whether the students are playing a game of tag on the playground or a friendly game of dodge ball during P.E., they are giving their bodies the exercise it needs to promote healt...
"It is doubtful if any mechanical invention in the history of the world has influenced in the same length of time the lives of so many people in an important way as the motor car." So writes an American historian, thinking of the automobile alone. But it does not stand-alone. It was the automobile factory that introduced mass production, a process that has changed the lineaments of our economic and social life more profoundly than any other single element in the recent history of civilization. Nearly everyone has heard of this process, yet few have any detailed or exact knowledge of its inception and development. Enter Henry Ford. The true answers of what inspired this Michigan farmer to develop a production process that was so simple, effective and efficient it changed the entire course of history.
When Henry Ford was born on June 30th, 1863, neither him nor anyone for that matter, knew what an important role he would take in the future of mankind. Ford saw his first car when he was 12. He and his father where riding into Detroit at the time. At that moment, he knew what he wanted to do with his life: he wanted to make a difference in the automobile industry. Through out his life, he achieved this in an extraordinary way. That is why he will always be remembered in everyone’s heart. Whenever you drive down the road in your car, you can thank all of it to Henry Ford. Through his life he accomplished extraordinary achievements such as going from a poor farm boy to a wealthy inventor who helped Thomas Edison. When he was a young man, he figured out how to use simple inventions, such as the light bulb. He then taught himself the design of a steamboat engine. His goal was to build a horse-less carriage. He had come up with several designs and in 1896, he produced his first car, the Model A. When Ford’s first car came out, he had been interviewed by a reporter and when asked about the history of the car, he had said “History is more or less bunk.” Ford worked in Thomas Edison’s factory for years and the left to become an apprentice for a car-producer in Detroit. While working there, he established how he was going to make the car.

Love/hatred, redemption/forgiveness, power/faith are only examples of what the film represents. It shows that religion and politics definitely do not mix what so ever. Both can either empower or bring doom to a country and its people. The film kept me on my toes for which the Portuguese and the Spanish viewed the natives as “animals” and as slaves while the Jesuits didn’t. The Jesuits viewed the natives for what they are, humans. Since both views of both parties did not correlate, there was a lot of tension that kept me intrigued with the film. Another aspect that made the film interesting is the fact that the Jesuits live for love and peace while the Portuguese live for power and wealth no matter the cost. Even in our own current time, nothing has changed when it comes to that. I’m very glad to have had the chance to watch the film and get a glimpse into
Almost everyone attends a school at one time in their life whether the classroom includes technology or not. Research shows that technology isn’t used as often as one might think. The article, “High Access and Low use of technology in High School Classrooms” illustrates the use of technology by stating that only one in ten of elementary and middle school teachers are daily users of computers (Cuban, Kirkpatrick, Peck). Most schools now have classrooms that use technology throughout the entire class time and even at home to do homework. Although some people might agree with the use of technology in class, it is more harmful to the students than useful. It can cause many distractions, it can be difficult to use and can take away from learning time.

In today’s new age of technology and advanced modern education, physical education is becoming a thing of the past. Many schools are dropping the course from their curriculum and focusing on core classes that are said to be beneficial to the futures of their students. Contrary to popular belief, physical education can pay
Physical Education (P.E.) class is often overlooked as a place of learning for the development of life skills after high school (Fencl, 2014). With the role of the Common Core State Standards, courses in physical education have been placed as a secondary fulfillment of requirements to graduate. The approach to teaching and instruction P.E. classes does not have to be an unimportant class in this new era of teaching, but it can be an impactful course for each studen...
Technology in education is a huge advantage. Not only for students, but for the teachers as well. As technology advances and more software is available for teaching, lessons become more and more individualized. Students like using technology because it can cater to their specific learning style. It allows for greater student collaboration and students have a wide selection of up to date information. Some teachers even prefer online classes due to the many advantages of a purely technology based curriculum. With the help of technology teachers can increase participation, individualize their lessons, and connect with each student more effectively. The classroom is extended beyond its four walls and it allows teachers to identify faster if any
