Teacher Ethics “Ethics are defined as a set of principles of right conducts; the rules or standards governing the conduct of a person or the members of a profession” ( Dictionary of the Human Language, 2000). Teachers are often put in situations that require more than just knowing the basic school rules. It is within these situations, that the ethical dilemmas occur. There is not always a right way to deal with many daily problems that face educators, but there are ways to handle situations that are better then others. Teachers should follow and refer to a code of ethics to help teach in the most appropriate and ethical way; as well as a guide to help deal with dilemmas. It is important that teachers give children a fair chance to show their knowledge when assessing. “The purpose of assessment is to provide feedback that can be used to improve student performance” ( Orange 2000). Teachers assess children to ensure that they are understanding the material, and to make sure they are learning. For young children especially tests should never be the only criteria of assessment. Instructors should always make sure that their assessment is fair. When testing a child, make sure that the testing method used is appropriate for that child. For example, if giving a test that relies on visual aids to administer the test it is important that the teacher is certain that all the children have good enough vision to clearly see the aids. When assessing young children in particular it is important to look for more then simply right or wrong. An in depth look is necessary to see what the children really know before giving them a poor grade. Children’s work needs to critiqued in more then one way to be sure that they really do ... ... middle of paper ... ...o put a leash on teachers' pets. Blues refers to the music genre that originated from the African-American societies mainly from the deep southern region of the United States in the late 19th century. The blues form of music is characterized by notes that are played gradually bent or flattened. The blues notes comprised 12 measures or bars. These notes are used in jazz music, rhythm and blues. The inventors of the blues included slaves and the descendants of the slaves. There is a general belief that the blues originated from African folk songs. The blues spread out significantly from the south in the late 1930s and early 1940s. The music quickly progressed into various styles according to regions. Well-known pioneers of blues music in the 1920s include Blind Lennon Jefferson, W.C. Handy, Robert Johnson, Charlie Patton and Son House. Blues exist in popular music in many areas today.

Overall, Operation Barbarossa was a complete failure, ending with tens of millions dead and a country in complete dismay. At first, it seemed as though Hitler was right, but the Soviets were able to keep them from taking command of their country. Hitter had made a huge mistake when he enacted this plan, and paid the price; he lost WWII. If he had not chosen to invade Russia, than the war may have ended differently, but if Operation Barbarossa would have been successful, he may have been able to take over more of Europe.
The Blues appeared as an African-American art form of music . The blues is a part of African-American history. The founders of the blues were the slaves who sang while working . The Blues music was influenced by urban culture, popular music and jazz. The blues began in an area called Delta in the 19th century .
Blues helped with the formation of jazz which in return helped with the formation of popular music. Blues jazz songs and blues singing, aided as a standard and inspiration for songwriters and singers. Popular musicians hence, copied the three dimensions of the blues; (1) the physical performance of classical blues singers, (2) its feeling style and (3) its form. The “blues” style was fostered in early-twentieth- century popular music and was least influenced by European music. The vocals of the blues influenced both equally the melodies and songs of the 1920s and the lyrical and vocal singing of them. Popular music songwriters seemed to suggest a musical rhythm or style with a blues atmosphere even though popular song lyrics were not as straight forward or influential like those

The blues, a uniquely American art form, was born on the dusty street corners of the Deep South in the late 1800s. An evolution of West African music brought to the United States by slaves, created the blues which was a way for black people in the south to express their hardships, heartbreaks, religion, passion, and politics that they experienced in their day-to-day lives. The majority of blues songs were never written down, let alone recorded, but instead, were passed on from one musician to another and played on a variety of instruments including a number of stringed instruments, harmonicas, and horns. Once blues songs began to be officially recorded in the 1920s, the most frequently found instruments were guitars and pianos. However, the basic 12-bar style and three.-chord progression have remained the same throughout the years and continue to be key components of the blues.
Ethics and Morals are two important words everyone knows, but which very few truly understand. Ethics is defined, in Webster's Ninth New Collegiate Dictionary, as the discipline dealing with what is good and what is bad. Morals are defined, in the same dictionary, as those principles of right and wrong in behavior. For Kozol in The Night Is Dark and I Am Far From Home, ethics and morals have similar definitions but extend to include a sense of compassion for others. I agree with his argument that the purpose of schooling is to educate an ethical human being: a person who not only lives his life by facts and knowledge but also by ethics and morals.
Towards the end of the 19th century, music brought over to the states by African slaves began to develop. Work songs, chants and shouts were the beginnings of the earliest form of blues: Delta blues. Delta blues was so called after the Mississippi Delta, where the towns and plantations that the original blues men and women worked were located. “The guitar and the harmonica were the primary tool of the Delta bluesman, mostly due to the ease of carrying them around, and many of the musicians of the Early Blues era (1910-1950) were sharecroppers, or worked on one of the many plantations that were located across the Mississippi Delta.” (Gordon, 2014) As well as guitar and harmonica, homemade instruments such as the diddley bow were very common amongst Delt...
In addition, they agree that slaves from these regions carried with them their culture and started singing a type of genre that did not exist in the United States. However, as the groups from different linguistic cultures gathered and worked together, there was a telling influence giving rise to the blues. The two authors contrasted heavily while explaining the type of influence leading to the blues. On the one hand, Palmer associates the blues origin with country music. On the other hand, Barlow notes that the blues origin had to do with rural folk songs including African-American

In an American survey, it was reported by the teachers themselves that they are ill-prepared for dealing with ethical dilemmas in their classroom. The major conflicts experienced in teaching were judged to be ethical in nature by 70% teachers. The majority of the teachers surveyed did not see clear ways to resolve the conflicts they had faced (Lyons, 1990). As it has been said that the teaching profession tends to be subjective by nature where a teacher is confronted with many ethical dilemmas and circumstances where an individual’s own moral code is contested by that of colleague’s, administrator’s, the school community, and the union to name a few. Campbell (1997) provided a series of examples of where teachers had felt that administrators
