Online Pedophiles
As the Internet keeps making new advancements, pedophiles around the world are becoming more successful. Access to the Internet is readily available anywhere, anytime, and almost anyplace. A growing number of people within the United States are attaining access to the Internet. Internet use within the United States is predicted to grow tremendously. This brings about a large problem for America’s youth. Children are very vulnerable and chat rooms seem to be the popular place for kids and pedophiles to hang out. This creates an on going problem. (Figures 1, 2, and 3 at bottom)
The crime rate against children in the United States is growing and pedophiles on the Internet are a contributor to the growth. After viewing the three following graphs and the spreadsheet, it’s obvious that there is a great number of children who are sexually violated by people that they know, and there is also a portion of children who are violated by strangers. It’s simple to conclude that the strangers children are meeting can be a result of the Internet.

...important, clear evidence has proven that pedophile cases, due to the internet are growing. It’s important that America’s youth are protected, while this growing problem rages into society. Law enforcement officials are trying to control the problem but it’s more important that parents take hold of the problem. They are the guardians of the children, and the police shouldn’t have to become the parents. Parents need to take the time to learn more about their children and take care of their responsibilities before the problem gets bigger.

... and slavery left millions of newly freed African Americans in the South without an education, a home, or a job. Before reconstruction was put in place, African Americans in the South were left roaming helplessly and hopelessly. During the reconstruction period, the African Americans’ situation did not get much better. Although helped by the government, African Americans were faced with a new problem. African Americans in the South were now being terrorized and violently discriminated by nativist groups such as the Ku Klux Klan. Such groups formed in backlash to Reconstruction and canceled out all the positive factors of Reconstruction. At last, after the Compromise of 1877, the military was taken out of the South and all of the Reconstruction’s efforts were basically for nothing. African Americans in the South were back to the conditions they started with.
Since the year 2001, Afghanistan’s history with the United States has been very rough and destructive due to the Afghanistan War. Shortly after the 9/11 attacks, then-President George W. Bush signed a joint law resolution authorizing the use of force against those responsible for the 9/11 attack (“U.S. War in Afghanistan”). On October 7th, 2001, the US launched missile strikes against Taliban military starting the official “War of Afghanistan” (Afghanistan Profile - Timeline). Twelve days after the airstrikes, the first wave of conventional ground forces arrive in Afghanistan (“U.S. War in Afghanistan”). In August 2003, two years after the start of the war, there are now over 10,000 American soldiers fighting in Afghanistan (“U.S. War in Afghanistan”). A few years passed by without any major events during the war, until September of 2008 when President Bush sent an extra 4,500 troops to Afghanistan (Afghanistan Profile-
In conclusion, the Reconstruction was overall ineffective for giving real rights to African Americans. In effect, all of these outcomes only gave the white an advantage and gave African Americans a difficult way of life. As for the social structure in the south, they ended up getting things their way, winning themselves back into domination of southern state control. There wasn’t really a successful social structure that accomplished to teach southern states a lesson, which only made things worse for African Americans when there was a tiny ounce hope for them. At last, the south did anything they could to impede the rights for African Americans and to neglect a social structure, and as far as the Reconstruction-era, the south was successful. The Republicans did a lot of great things for African Americans, but something always backfired.
Afghanistan, home to a population of roughly 30 million, has undergone some very harsh conditions. In a place that has witnessed horrific incidents due to Taliban invasions, constant warfare, and violence, Afghanistan may seem hopeless. People, particularly women and children, have been deprived of an education, and basic rights. As a result, there was a great plunge in the economy. Now, Afghanistan continues to struggle with the ruins of its land. Countries have teamed together and started to deliver aid in hopes to restore Afghanistan. The U.S. alone has sent over an estimated $100 billion in aid since 2002 (Seigel 1). However the essential question is: Is it worth it? Is it worth sending billions of dollars to a government that does not know how one-third of humanitarian aid has been spent since 2001 (Waldman 5)? Is it worth sending money when it has been confirmed that $1 billion of the $8 billion donated in the past year has been lost to corruption (Labelle 1)? Because of corruption, the United States should lower the amount of aid donated to Afghanistan and prevent waste and abuse. However, there is a possible downside to lowering aid distribution. On the contrary, if the U.S. reduces aid drastically decreases, Afghanistan may become dependent on the Taliban once again. Initially, the Taliban rose to power because they used the vulnerability of Afghanistan to their advantage after Afghanistan was invaded by the Soviet Union. Afghanistan could go through a relapse and another Taliban Era if aid is no longer given. If the Taliban take control of Afghanistan again, which is very likely since the government already has Taliban officials, Afghanistan will suffer greatly and surrounding ...

In a total of sixty years, 1919 – 1979, Afghanistan had altogether undergone three phases. During the first phase, the ties between Afghanistan and Great Britain were broken. Instead, the Afghanistan people would look towards the Soviet Union to stable them in times of need. Taking up his position, Nader Shah during the second phase had marked the dawn of the “closed borders era”. Natural resources, at this time of Afghanistan were being unearthed; proving to be a promising productive future. Favourable contracts went over to the hands reaching Americans for financial assistance and large investments, yet the Afghanistans ...

Afghanistan is like a time capsule. Many people farm for subsistence, and few are able to read or write. Afghans have been compared to Spartans in that they are a martial people who have been at war for thousands of years. The rough terrain in which they live lends itself to long periods of resistance. Time and time again they have been able to push away would be conquerors. The current war in Afghanistan stands in contrast to previous wars because its purpose is not one of conquest for land or for the exploitation of resources. The purpose of the current war in Afghanistan is to win over the Afghan people and to help them grow ideologically to assimilate into an ever more technologically advanced global environment.
In recent years, the Internet has become the number one choice for doing research. A person can find information on just about anything. There are websites devoted to cooking recipes, musicians, schools, and pornography. Many schools will even allow students to apply for admission over the Internet. Schools such as California State University, Northridge give students an option to register for classes through the school website, making it quick and easy to get classes. The Internet is truly the "information superhighway."
Thanks to my fascination with PepsiCo and partly because this is an assignment, I went online and search for some of PepsiCo’s most successful and ongoing marketing campaigns and strategies. During my research I noticed several daring marketing strategies Pepsi employed throughout the years. For example, gaining the support of Michael Jackson in the 1980’s and latest gaining the endorsement of global pop star Beyoncé.
Competitive pricing is a factor, which the firm should keep in mind all the time. The scenario is very important because there can be civil disturbance, fall in sales due to inflation, or cross-border situations. As a result, Pepsi has to stay updated with all changes and policies in order to adapt.
Pepsi Blue was first test-marketed in Bahrain for three reasons: first, the majority of residents drank Pepsi; second, regional marketers and bottlers had already begun re-evaluating the effectiveness of the company's white logo (which didn't work well in their market); and third, the city was a small test market with a tightly controlled sample population. The Pepsi Blue logo, tagline and new marketing materials were rolled out in half the market and its results were highly successful. Purchasers liked the new logo design and the majority believed that the packaging had improved and the taste remained the same. For those who believed that both the taste and packaging were different, the majority enjoyed the "new" taste.

The developing strength of the protagonist, Nora, is all due to Ibsen adhering and departing from the structure of a “well-made play”. In taking the protagonist Nora and dissecting every part of her character, Ibsen was able to portray to the audience his true purpose of writing the play, which is the belief that women should be treated as equals and be given the freedom that men received at the time. Through each successful use of each subplot, Ibsen was able to create a microcosm of the world as it was for women and how that world should be.
