Love in The Taming of the Shrew
Wonder, for a moment, what Shakespeare means when he uses the word “love”, if it really does exist in any of the relationships in this play, particularly between Petruccio and Katherine. Is love not a certainty?
Such winds scatters young men through the world
To seek their fortunes farther than at home,
Where small experience grows. But in in a few,
Signor Hortensio, thus it stands with me:
Antonio, my father, is deceased,
And I have thrust myself into this maze
Happily to wive and thriveas best I may.
Crowns in my purse I have, and goods at home,
And so I am come abroad to see the world.

With the correct metrics in place information can be gathered and reported on in order to form knowledge. Data is raw numbers, information is data with context, and knowledge is the information with understanding, which leads to decisions (Hunter Whitney, 2007). Basing decisions on every metric is a waste of resources and time. As a result, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) distill the vast amount of data into information that is pertinent to the decision making. Some KPIs could be the items per hour, visitors per day, customer retention rate, conversion rate, etc. However, not all companies need to know all of the indicators, that is why KPIs are based on the business model and needs of the company.
Metrics are very important in Operations Management within an organization because it provides functions such as control, reporting, communication, opportunities for improvement and expectations. Love in the twelfth night In the play Twelfth Night, Shakespeare covered three types of love : Lust, true love and brotherly love. Love is one of the most confusing and most misunderstood emotions that we as humans possess. Love is an extremely diverse emotion, which is why it was used as the main topic on the twelfth night. Lust, which is probably one of the most confusing types of love, was an apparent subject in Twelfth Night.
How does William Shakespeare use the play to make the audience think about aspects of love through the play ‘Midsummer Nights Dream?
Love is not black and white. Varied degrees and types exist throughout literature, media, and the real world. In fact, William Shakespeare covers several forms of love in his play The Merchant of Venice. Examples include the romantic love between Bassanio and Portia and the friendship between Bassanio and Antonio. While Shylock’s love of money is strong and steadfast, it cannot compete with the aforementioned types. Materialism is not true love. In one
All operations have in common three main characteristics: inputs, actions (process) and outputs. When measuring performance, we need to consider these component parts having always in mind the five performance indicators.

There is more of this behavior going on than there is love in this play. Although, this deceptive type of behavior begins to manifest because of the love stories, it still becomes a major theme throughout the play. The reader is pulled into the love stories early on as they show up early and are quite entertaining to read as we see the characters poking fun and the game of leading on with each other. At one point or another every character of this story is either the victim of deception or is trying to deceive someone. This in it’s self is another comedic side of this story, I think Shakespeare was wanting to play with how deception can hurt people whether it is malicious or in good
Love is an essential human desire. Once it is caught, dramatic, unexpected changes in ones life occur. Protecting the people one loves is a natural instinct that cannot be controlled. William Shakespeare demonstrates this in Twelfth Night through the relationship between Antonio and Sebastian. Furthermore, Viola continues to ensure the happiness of Orsino is met even if that means sacrificing the happiness of herself. Also, love is evident when one pays attention to, and dedicates himself to the small details in other peoples lives. William Shakespeare demonstrates in Twelfth Night the nature of true love through loyal friendship, bold romance and secretive love.
Many of Aristotle’s teachings have shown remarkable insight into the human mind, especially considering the time in which he lived. Just as some of his teachings on physics were held as true for nearly 2000 years, many of his teachings on the human mind were well ahead of his time. His method of study and experimentation, followed by logical deduction are the basis for all sciences now, something which was completely new when he wrote of this approach.
Establishing metrics is crucial to any organization, especially in technology related company projects. Metrics can be defined as a system of parameters or ways of quantitative and periodic assess of a process that is to be measured, along with procedures to carry out such measurement and the procedures for the interpretation of the assessment in the light of previous or comparable assessments. The results of the metrics can be used to record trends, efficiency, capital, and etcetera. Metrics permit organizations to measure its performance against industry sectors to determine how well the company is doing. Metrics allow organizations to optimize its productivity.
‘If you can’t measure it, you can’t management it’, [Dan vesset and Brian, M. 2009]. Performance management is concerned with the measurement of results and with studying progress to achieving objectives base on the results. Managing performance can tell you what you’re doing well in, and also reveal areas where you need to make adjustments. Measuring performance tells you how far you’ve gone achieving your ultimate
