NOKIA
Nokia is a mixture of three major companies. They are Nokia Ab, Finnish Cable Works and Finnish Rubber. They are joined officially. The Nokia consists of five businesses. They are rubber, cable, forestry, electronics and power generation. The nokia company became a household name arond the world in the 1980's.
Nokia made a radio telephone mobira oy as a joint venture with leading finnish television maker Salora. The world's first international cellular network NMT (nordic mobile telephone service) was launched. The NMT grew so fast and the mobile industry began to expand rapidly. The first Nokia phone was introduced by Nokia. It is called Mobira Senator. Nokia also launches the mobira talkman portable car phone. Nokia also introduced the first handheld mobile phone for NMT networks. Over a decade millions of users used this to make calls and hence the mobile revolution took place. Later Global System for mobile communications(GSM) has been adopted. GSM provided high quality voice calls ,international roaming and text messages. This has bought a new mobile revolution again. Nokia played a key role in adopting this. Hence it took full advantage of this technology.
The world's first GSM call was made using the Nokia equipment. Nokia launches the first digital handheld GSM phone-Nokia 1011. In the same year Nokia took a decision to concentrate exclusively on manufacturing mobile phones and telecommunication systems. Hence they sold the electronic devises, rubber and cable.

In present times Nokia is still in a complicated situation as Sead Fadilpašić puts it., In the article “Nokia – Phones relationship status: It’s complicated”, Fadilpašić discusses the problems Nokia may face in 2016, he states, “The Helsinki-based company said it hopes to come back to designing and providing mobile phone technology, but it needs a partner which would manufacture, market and sell the devices.”, this means that at this point no one is willing to back their ideas, therefore putting them in a difficult situation disabling them to grow their brand. Nokia is still fighting to stay alive, in the end they will have to continue to be innovative and find supporters that believe in their brand.
