Nobody wants to grow up to be a drunk. Although drinking alcohol may be enjoyable in social situations and it looks cool, it is a terrible addiction and is considered a type of drug abuse. Mothers expecting a child can really harm the child by consuming alcohol. Alcohol can cause the body to make terrible decisions such as drunk driving which not only puts the drinker in danger, but also puts everyone else in danger. The abuse of alcoholic beverages can cause a person to become an alcoholic. Underage drinking is illegal and harmful, but that does not stop minors from partying. Alcoholics can cause emotional pains throughout the family causing the families to suffer. Many people enjoy drinking but very few people understand the harm it is doing to the health of their bodies, and how it can ruin their lives. Alcoholism can have a negative effect on a person’s overall character, health, and morals.
Alcohol abuse is a very substantial problem nowadays, but not a lot of people understand what is happening to their health when they consume an alcoholic beverage. Alcohol has a great deal of negative, or harmful effects on a persons body and health. "Alcohol Abuse Health Center" as published on WebMD, states that "Long term heavy drinking harms your liver, nervous system, heart, and brain. It can cause health problems or make them worse." If it is true that long term drinking can cause all these health problems, this shows that alcohol is a huge health threat to your body.

...all this is true, then the child will have to struggle through some very big emotional pains in his/her life dealing with a parent who is an alcoholic. Drinking causes loved ones to suffer, and nobody wants to deal with a drunk.
Due to drinking people are being emotionally scarred, abused, and harming their own bodies. Drunk driving not only puts the drivers life in danger but also puts everybodys lives in danger. Being an alcoholic can really ruin a persons life. Alcohol is very common among minors although it is illegal and harmful to the adolescents’ body. Families of alcoholics can really suffer from emotional problems. Many people enjoy drinking but very few people understand the harm it is doing to the health of their bodies, and how it can ruin their lives. Alcohol causes a person to have negative effects on a person’s overall character, health, and morals.

Most people know that teenagers like to experiment, try the new and forbidden, but the Center assumes that no one is fully aware of how serious this problem can be if it is not addressed.
