Every so often a movie is released with such tense anticipation and glamorous visual art that the public is drawn to this dramatic rendition of life in the theatre. For even just two hours or so, you are put into a different lifestyle. Action, drama or comedy it may be. We are thrust into a different way of thinking. We are forced to learn the characters thoughts and feelings. The hard work and artistic skill that goes into these magnificent films is not an easy thing to mimic. Out of the thousands of movies released worldwide each year only a handful are truly worthy of the label film art. Most of the great movies are either produced by a multi million dollar company that hired a director with quite a bit of experience under his belt, or are made with little money and slowly find their way into the film business due to
increasing popularity because of the good writing and talented though
unknown actors in the film. These small films are a great way to get a foot in the door of the giant Hollywood business.
There are many courses that need to be taken to get a bachelors degree in film arts, and though not promised, it can really help one get a good footing in the business of film and video production. The first thing needed is to learn the basics of film making. This course would be labeled as Introduction to Film and Video or Introduction to Cinema. It introduces the basic education for prospective film students. It starts with the conceptualization to execution and examines the many different film genres, such as context of history, theory, fiction, drama and comedy. Many major colleges across the U.S. offer this course, such as UCLA, UT at Austin, SDSU and many others. This course is easy to complete and requires no pre-requisites. Though taking courses such as these is not required to get into this business, it is defiantly recommended since one’s chance of creating a small film with the common amount of knowledge and having it produced and hit the big time is very slim. Film is such a competitive business that education is crucial if one wants to land a decent job in the work force. Although it is possible to do it all without the education, it is highly unlikely.

In conclusion this author would like to let the reader know that, though an exciting career this is, it is an extremely hard business to break into. It takes a lot of hard work and patience and maybe just a bit of luck.
One could attend a college and take all the required courses, get a degree and still never see a movie set or get a good grip on the business. Although, If one has the heart and strong will to make it in this business it could be extremely rewarding.

There is a highlight around the woman’s body leaving her look like she’s glowing. The weight scale is indicating that the woman has lost weight and she is shocked by how much she weighs now. The company displays this petite woman which advertises, if you drink their product then the consumers can look like her. This add is posing as a sex symbol for men and is showing younger women that they should look like this woman in the ad. This ad is also indicating that only ‘sexy’ and ‘healthy’ woman can produce healthier milk.
If accurate, this is a debilitating criticism of Kant’s moral theory as he had intended it. Mill’s critique instead classifies Kant’s moral theory as a type of rule utilitarianism. Any action under Kant’s theory is tested as a general rule for the public, and if the consequences are undesirable, then the general rule is rejected. “Undesirable consequences” are, according to the more precise language of Mill’s utilitarianism, consequences which are not a result of producing the greatest happiness. Mill’s analysis hinges on the lack of logical contradiction found in Kant’s theory. Without a concrete incongruity, Kant may be no more than a rule utilitarian. The concept Kant is displaying in his work is the universal maxim. He believes in the idea of the will of every human being to be a part of the universal law. Individuals are to reflect upon their action by looking at the motivating principle behind their action. The question is would the motivation of my action be universally accepted or rejected? Kant is saying that we should look at the motivating principle behind our actions and compare that to how it would be seen on a universal level. Then ask, would we want another person to act with the same motivating principle? In all we are to act in a manner that the will of our action be a maxim that becomes a universal law.

With this short but very interesting and informative class I have just scratched the surface of the what it takes to make a full fleged film. It takes much more than I had presumed to make a movie in Hollywood. The number of people that it takes to make a minute of a movie let alone the entire movie was astonishing to me. There are many things that it takes to start making a movie but without an idea of some sort there is no movie to be made.

The woman herself is photo shopped extensively and is posing in an extremely awkward manner. Her face is clean of acne and she has rosy cheeks. Her lipstick is dark red, her eyes extremely wide with eyeliner and eye shadow, and she has short blonde hair. As Naomi Wolf suggests the media often times portray woman in such a way that woman feel, as though they should look like that. Woman may be subjected to this once more as the maker of this advertise has portrayed what they think society finds sexy, and thus certain women may feel as though they need to look like her. Then there’s the entire aspect of the phallic shaped burger right in front of the woman’s wide-open mouth. The end of the burger fades into darkness making its origins unknown. This could be suggesting that girl’s will perform oral sex no matter who you are as long as you have a large penis. To highlight this false truth further, there is a spotlight on the woman and the fading burger, which makes viewers look at that part of the advertisement first and is what governs the rest of the advertisement. In the bottom corner the full burger is showed with a lighter colored background and if this was the only part of the advertise, the sexual innuendo would have been extremely hard to get. Many people don’t think about it so much, but movies (or just film in general) have become such a big part of our lives that we don’t think much of it because it just feels like a usual part of living. But have you ever wondered why this is, and how far back film started? Movies and film have been around for a long time, have developed in big ways throughout time, and has advanced in such a big and new way to this day.

Each step of this process contributes to the final product, and does so in a unique right. The process of film making will now start chronologically, stemming from the idea of the story, producing that story into a film, editing that footage together, and finally delivering that story to its viewers.
