I decided to conduct my Field Assignment Interviews at a park near where I live. The park is Pacific Hills Park, the park has many different features, such as a soccer field, jungle gyms and people come and walk their dogs. I decided to ask questions during a few different soccer games over the weekend. The reason I choose the park is because it’s close to my house and there are always soccer games in the park. We made two groups, one group was wearing green T-shirt and another group was wearing blue T-shirt. Each team had eight players. I was in a Lepcha team and our T-shirt color was blue. While select sports are a valuable resource where children can learn how to socialize and become self-motivated, children who start at young ages, ten and eleven, can suffer psychological and physical damage. A child's youth sporting experience is directly influenced by the attitudes, sportsmanship and behavior of their parents and coaches.
In this phase, background information on park facilities, programs, and operations; natural and cultural resources; and other topics relevant to the parks was collected and evaluated. Issues important to the future of the parks were identified through analysis of the background information, interviews of people with specific knowledge of or stake in the parks, and input received from a series of five public meetings conducted in April 2000. Finally, the recreational needs of park users were evaluated using a variety of measures, including a mail survey of a cross- section of Allegheny County residents.
This park is an ideal setting, because the story is based on football, which is mostly played in a park like setting. Not only this, but the genre of the novel is realistic fiction, and parks are not only found in books, but in reality as well. Coppo Park is described as a large area with many people walking around and playing. I would consider visiting this place, because it is similar to parks in my town, which I always enjoy visiting. In addition to this, I would consider visiting Coppo Park, because it seems as though it is a serene setting, which is different than the usual hustle of one’s daily life. I found myself in a town where a lot of children camps did not occur, but that did not prevent me from attending Lansing united ladies game on the 14th of June 2018 at 7 pm at East Lansing soccer complex which is located right behind the quarry lodge house. Growing up in El Salvador, soccer was a sport that significantly impacted my childhood. My cousins and uncles taught me how to play soccer, as well as various techniques that would later benefit me on the soccer field. At the age of seven I started to play for one of most well-known soccer clubs in El Salvador. Practicing twenty three hours a week was really paying off, as I could see in my medal and trophy gain. Not only did they represent my accomplishments, but they also gave joy to my teammates, community, and family because they were the people who encouraged me to give my best. Soccer, in one or more ways, has had some part in the lives every American citizen, whether it be the money spent by the government on stadiums and professional teams, or the time spent watching and playing the game. Although the sport did not have a strong early presence in American lives it has substantially grown in recent years, thus effectively popularizing soccer in every corner of the globe. I started doing exercises and learning things that I didn’t even know about. At first, when I got there they would ask me questions or just ask questions in general. I wouldn’t even bother to answer because I didn’t know anything. After a few times of me going and participating in these games. They would ask questions and it was like smoke was coming out of my ears.
While I have developed my soccer skills over the years, the relationships I have built with people are treasured more than my ability to play the game. Playing soccer has granted me the opportunity to be surrounded by an extensive family of people who truly love me. I am forever indebted to the sport for bringing me into love-filled relationships with players and coaches alike.
Soccer has guided me in many ways to become the person I am. Especially in high school, the sport has showed me how to be much more cooperative and open with others. Before high school, I isolated myself from others and had only a few close friends. Rather than being a sociable, I acted as though I was the only person in the world and had the outlook that as long as I do what is right individually, there is no need for me to work with others. This outlook changed when I joined the soccer team at Holy Spirit, my high school. With the way soccer is at the high school level, I had no choice but to cooperate and associate my selves with others. Once on the field, instead of introducing myself as "me" I had to introduce myself as a part of the team. You win as a team and you lose as a team. Sometimes I wanted to drive to games myself, and I was not allowed to because we are supposed to travel together and it would be wrong to the team for me to separate myself from the group.
Sports serve many different purposes in today’s world as many know. There are numerous sports played around our country that are people’s favorite pastime. On September 9th, 2017 at approximately 7 p.m., I went to Gracedale Public Park to carefully conduct my observation on the individuals, who were at the park and their specific activities in the one hour of time. When I got there, the weather was beautiful with soft winds, a clear sky and with some dim sunlight. The park was full of people of all ages. Though, there were more kids than adults and some teenagers. There were many bicycles and strollers parked beside the tree I sat under.
