If I had to choose my favorite season it would be a very difficult choice. All four seasons are unique in their own special way, such as the climate, scenery, and activities. Although I enjoy the warmer months of summer, I also enjoy the cooler months of winter. In a sense, I have narrowed my favorite seasons down to two; summer and winter.
The biggest difference between summer and winter is the climate. One of the main attractions of summer is the warm weather. I like being outside on a bright sunny day, and letting the sun warm my body. I also like that we get an occasional thunder storm. The excitement fills the air when I see the thunder clouds rolling in. The sound of thunder, and the lighting shows that come from the storms are fascinating. On the other hand winter i...
The differences between driving in the winter and driving in the summer are greater than the similarities. Driving in the heat may be manageable while driving a car that has a functioning AC, but if your AC doesn’t work you’ll be uncomfortable the whole ride. But let’s say you’re driving during the winter and your heater doesn’t work, you could simply dress in warm clothing to fix that issue. As for the similarities, both seasons require your cars heating
The third reason I love West Virginia is because we are blessed with a variety of seasons. These beautiful seasons include; spring, summer, fall, and winter. In the spring I love to watch nature as life renews itself all around me. In the summer I love the warm weather as I take a dip in the calm lake. During the fall I love to watch the leaves change colors as I walk through the woods.
“Summer is a season of the year.” “ it is the season of growing , the season of life.”
Winter can be long and exhausting. The weather is usually cold and gray. Children are aching to get outside and play in the warm sun and without their restricting coats. E. E. Cumming’s intro showed the excitement he faced as a child. He looked forward to Springtime and all the joys that came with that season. Flowers are in bloom, kids are playing, kids are laughing, and you hear the balloon man whistling in the background.
Depending on where you live there are stark differences between driving in the summer vs. the winter. First there is the factor of snow and ice in the winter, and in the summer you get harsh rains. There are many variables that we could discuss in these next few paragraphs, but we are only going to be able to list a few.
With this I can relate since where I come from the winters are brutal and often seem to relate to calamity. However, once you pass the numb fingers, frostbit ears, near-hypothermia, and overall severity of the storm, you can notice just how beautiful and halcyon the land looks. Around here, winters can be unkind to people and the land, but like the winter of the story it truly is beautiful to see.
But there is beauty both winter and summer driving. In the summer you can enjoy the colors of spring and fall, winter you can enjoy the frost bitten trees and the frozen crystal glazed rivers. But, of course the important part is being a safe driver. If you take precautions you should be fine. I enjoy driving both conditions. I have seen accidents more numerous in winter, but when you are in an accident, it can be just as dangerous in the summer as in the winter, just not as likely. The main thing to remember is to, drive with caution, use common since, keep your eyes on the road, know your surroundings, and never use electronics while you
Most of the outdoor sports played in summer, however, most of the sports and activities available in winter as well. As in summer snow related sports are not available, but most people go for camping, play football, golf and soccer. Moreover, summer holidays are longer than winter or winter break for students. People get more time to enjoy summer than winter. In winter, skiing, snowmobiling and ice luge are the most popular activities. Whereas winter sports are not played in summer. In winter, all summer sports can be enjoyed with the help of indoor stadiums and facilities, on the other hand in summer all winter sports are not available or difficult to make them available. But sometimes snow days are also relaxing since schools and offices are closed. During winter people get a chance to spent more indoor time than
In both texts, they mentioned the seasons being created to provide different weather for the things that are vital to our lives. For example, in the winter is meant to rest and relax and the summer is meant to ripen as stated in the Hymn to the Sun. An example of the winter being a resting time is when bears and squares go into hibernation. During the summer, fruit starts to ripen for humans to eat. Without having different seasons, some of the things that humans need to survive would not be
Although I love every seasons that we have every year, the one that I love the most is turkey season. The reason why turkey season is my favorite season out of all the other season is because turkey season is very fun to me and it makes me get goosebumps when I hear one gobble every morning.
There are four different types of seasons. They are Summer, Spring, Fall, and Winter. They each hold its own period in which they occur. Some days are long and some days are short depending on the season. Different weather, daylight hours, holidays, and different events are all events in which occur throughout the season. The events that can occur also depends on what’s the season. In each season, there are different activities that can be accomplished. For example, some seasons contain certain holidays that occur in them like Christmas, which only happens in the winter. There are a numerous amount of great activities to do during each season, but one specific season tops all of them. Out of all of the seasons, winter is the best season.
SEASONS, THEY HAPPEN ABOUT THE SAME TIME EVERY YEAR. Everyone has a favorite season it could be fall, winter or any other season. For me I like fall the most because the weather is not too hot or too cold. Fall is a favorite season of mine because of young life, marching band, and the trips I get to go on.
A season is defined as a period of the year that is characterized by changes in weather and daylight, resulting from the interaction of the Earth’s yearly orbit around the sun and the tilt of the Earth’s axis (Khavrus & Shelevytsky, 2012). The Earth completes one revolution around the sun every 365 days, or 1 year as most people refer to. During this revolution, different areas of the Earth are pointed toward the sun, creating different seasons (see figure 1). This results in “changes in the amount of solar radiation an area receives” which affects the climate of weather of different regions on the Earth (Biggs, 2003, p. 484). The most well-known seasons, and seen most often in temperate regions of the world, include summer and winter, with spring and fall...
It has four distinctive seasons and the scenery is very beautiful here. In spring, the weather is cold one minute and hot the next, and the air is dry. In summer, it is always hot and wet. Rainfall is mostly concentrated in the July and August, and usually in the form of thundershowers and rainstorms. In autumn, with the influence of the continental air mass, the temperature drops rapidly and the precipitation decreases. In winter, the north wind is bitter and deadly cold due to the high pressure and low temperature. In addition, the air is extremely
My favorite season of the year is summer because of the warm weather, the school vacation, and the endless fun. I really enjoy the warm weather because it’s the perfect atmosphere to do outdoor activities. My favorite part about summer has to be the fact that school is closed for two months. During summer, you’re free to do whatever you want, not worrying about curfew or waking up early for school. Summer time is a great time to relax with friends and family by soaking up the sun at a beach or simply having dinner together.
