Essay on Los Angeles California: My Favorite Place to Visit - ... Even though the traffic is bad, it’s worth the hassle after getting to the fine restaurants. In my opinion, Los Angeles has the best restaurants on the west coast. The restaurants there have anything you want, at any time of the day, from breakfast at night to dinner in the morning and from soul food to seafood, all day long. My favorite restaurants are the Cheese Cake Factory, Norms Family Restaurant and Roscoe’s Chicken House; all with their own specialties. Sharing My Place Essay - ….......................................................Sharing My Place........................................................... Stopwatch countdown beeps like a bomb. Final scribbles accelerate in time to the eerie ding, ding, ding. Time’s up. Tossing aside the pen, I stand and stumble, landing behind a podium. Gulp. Then… syllables trickle and burst, berating air, shimmying up off note cards into the audience. Sounds shape shift into creatures creating cadence. I’m doing it. I feel like Daniel Webster reincarnated, but waddling in high heels and stuffed into a black suit, I look like a penguin....   [tags: place, podium, speak] 579 words

My Favorite Horse Show Essays - As the first rays of the sun peak over the horizon, penetrating the dark, soft light illuminates the mist rising up from the ground, forming an eerie, almost surreal landscape. The ground sparkles, wet with dew, and while walking from the truck to the barn, my riding boots soak it in. The crickets still chirp, only slower now. They know that daytime fast approaches. Sounds, the soft rustling of hooves, a snort, and from far down the aisle a sharp whinny that begs for breakfast, inform me that the crickets are not the only ones preparing for the day....   [tags: Personal Narrative, descriptive essay] 1571 words

My Favorite Kind of Vague Essay - My Favorite Kind of Vague When dreams mix with realities it’s 2 o’clock on a Sunday morning, and no one is awake but you, scribbling on a notebook pad behind the bathroom door, trying to grasp how something so mild, how heartwarming, could be converted by its counterpart. I read this book last summer, it was required reading, everyone told me it was horrible. Essay on My Favorite Cartoon - My Favorite Cartoon ¡V The Simpsons Watching a hilarious cartoon on television may seem like the most relaxed thing in the world. However, ¡§The Simpsons¡¨ is not only a stupid funny cartoon to keep us laughing for joy but also a clever TV program mixed up with irreverence and slightly twisted morality. I¡¦m not saying that how much influence this show can bring to our reality. But I think it¡¥s very well written. Also it constantly reflects and spoofs our society. The whole story takes place in a mythical town of Springfield in America....   [tags: essays research papers] 504 words
