Having a dream job must be that certain job that you have always reached for. It is that job that you promise you would do anything to have. I am currently one of the Calumet City Swat Team members. Being an important part of the community is something great to have achieved, especially being a part of the law enforcement. There are plenty of benefits that come with being in the Swat along with seeing children smile in a safe and productive environment. Climbing the ranks takes time and leads to challenging positions that are difficult to adjust too. Another thing difficult to adjust too is an automatic rifle. Being a Swat member, I am armed and must be trained for special types of missions. While most American’s would view law enforcement as a division that is here to punish them, many officers, like myself, know that we are here day in and day out to protect and serve the people of America.
Advancement and benefits are what a lot of American workers want out of their jobs. It gives you something to work hard for and it definitely keeps you focused. In order to have advanced to the Swat officer I am today, I needed to surpass many other goals. I chose this lifestyle and understood that sacrifices will be made. Climbing through the ranks was crucial for me. I would not be where I am if I did not earn the experience and lessons I did on the field. It is tough and challenging to advance through the ranks but there is a feeling of honor after accomplishing the short term goals to get to your overall goals. The health benefits that come with the job are not just the ones you sign a contract for. I have received great health care and a promising retirement plan but the greatest health benefit is that my job requires me too keep mov...

...ve with positive youths and adults. Advancement through not only life but a career is very important. It is something that will keep you motivated to continue positive and efficient work. Doing things the right way will show many people your character and ultimately shows that if given the chance, you will teach others the same. We also know that not just anyone can own weapons and must be trained; however, the Swat members are tactically trained and must be above average on weapon expertise. This weapon training take the Swat member beyond capable of extraordinary challenges on a day to day basis. My job as S.W.A.T. member has truly been a dream come true, it has allowed me to accomplish lifelong goals and has given others the chance to follow there dream as well. Through motivation, hard work and determination I earned a career that I enjoy every single minute of.
While growing up I did not know exactly what I wanted to be when I became an adult. My parents came from good backgrounds, my mother has a Ph.D. in education and my father is retired from the United States Army. It was not until my eight grade year in middle school, when I figured out what I wanted to do in a career field. Parent career day was the special event, and all the classmates’ parents came to speak about their careers or jobs. The career field that caught my attention was the police officer. He explained the everyday expectation of a police officers, the mental and physical challenges an officer goes through while on duty. The police officer continued to give examples and show us common mistakes citizens have about police officer. He explained the task of a police officer varies from day to day. The career of a police officer brings a different challenge every day and you have to be mentally and physically ready for anything and anywhere. He furthered explained, one day as an officer you might be in court all day or the next day you might have to chase a suspect on foot. ...
In all respect I've always had a fascination with becoming an F.B.I. agent. As my interest grow during my educational progression, I'm learning how my personal attributes with help me in my given field. First of is the size of my physical build, which I believe will help me with any possible altercation I my encounter. My positive attitude toward life will also be helpful. I also have a good decision making skills, with out letting let and kind of prejudice entering my mind. The reason I am so positive about this is I've had such a variety of friends. I've had friends of different races, ethnic background, and religious beliefs. I've also have a vary strong emotional barrier due to all the tragedy I've gone though in my life. I've lost three of my closet friends in the last four years. Through all those years I was the person who was strong to help my entire friends threw our losses. When I get into the field all the knowledge I've acquired in my education will in all intent be useless. How do I know this you ask? Several people I know in several justice fields have told me that the real education comes in the field. Their have several movies such as "The Siege", Silence of the Lambs" witch have inspired me to follow in this possible life style. The T.V. show cops is the most instamental to me, due to the way they always explain how to dissolve every encounter, and what would happen to the perpetrator. These movies and T.V. shows give a positive outlook on my possible life in handling these issues. I would not leave out the possibility of becoming a scout leader. The reason I think I could handle this job is because I've always had an attraction to teaching children. I have been babysitting children for seven years, for my next-door neighbors and my aunt. Any other person besides their parents or me could always never control the three boys next door. Then there are my two cousins who were both girls. I always loved watching children; I just get along with them so well. I believe I could make a difference in their lives.
I believe the goal of this book is to provide officers the information of how to recognize the deterioration of core values (personally and professionally) and what can take place in their lives if gone uncorrected. The book then ultimately provides specific strategies that can be utilized to reduce the negative emotional and physical impact of a law enforcement career. I believe the book succeeds in doing this.
...clude stressful work, long hours, and a lot of pressure from other law enforcement professionals. With devoted time and education you will notice that the good weighs out bad.
My interest in law enforcement grew in me at a young age probably around the age of 8. I would always watch the show Cops and that got me really interested. It was not until the age of 10 that I said to myself that I wanted to be a police officer or something in that field. During my years in junior high one of the officers who worked there told me about a program called police explorers, once he explained the program to me I knew that that was what I wanted to do: police work. A week after I turned fourteen I decided to join the Costa Mesa Police explorer program, in order to get I accepted to the program I had to attend four consecutive meetings and on my fourth meeting I was given an application the following week I was interviewed by four police officer; it was scary. This program has taught me many lessons such as responsibility, respect, integrity and many other qualities that one must have to be considered eligible for police work.
I want to be a Crime Scene Investigator. I Chose this career because it's something I’ve always wanted to do. It would be fulfilling to be a police officer because police officers help people in the community and keep it safe. They also enforce the law. They are the reason why people can live their lives in peace. If there is anyone in the community that citizens can trust it would be the police officers.
This goal is important to me because I would be the first police officer in my family and that I would be a woman in a male-dominated field and I want to change how people view of police officers. One person that I can attribute my decision to become a police officer is my public safety teacher from high school. He was a worked for the St Cloud police department for thirty-five years and was the captain before he retired and became a teacher. I would always go to him with questions about being a police officer and what are some of the things they faced and he always answered me honestly and would give me advice from an impartial standpoint, not from someone that was trying to advocate to become a police officer. We would have conversations where sometimes he would be advising me to not become an officer and sometimes he would say to go for it but he always reminded me that to get through being a police officer it was always going to depend on the mindset you have towards the job and the people. You can go into the job thinking everyone is a criminal but you can’t think that everyone is good either. Also he told me that even if you did good people will always hate you which really bothered me since their sole purpose is to protect and serve the people and made me determined to become one because I wanted to be one of the good ones and help to change that idea in the community I would be
My grandfather was a police officer when he was younger; he would tell us stories of he and his buddies on motorcycle patrol and the life of a cop. The stories that he told were so interesting, that ever since, I wanted to have a career in law enforcement. After I graduated from high school, I enrolled in the law enforcement program at Spokane Community College where I planned to fulfill my dream of becoming a cop. I started the law enforcement classes at the college and came to the conclusion that law enforcement was not the career for me.
Serve and protect as a police officer in the city of Santa Ana has been my career dream goal since I was growing up being influenced by police officers throughout my education. Seeing so many casualties by violence in my community is one of the reasons why I am pursuing this profession, so that I can be able to accommodate the best way I can to reduce the violence. Other reasons why I am desiring to become police officer is to save someone 's life, help people make better choices, challenging tasks, and serve my community. Although dilemmas with people being unsupportive with law enforcement has increased, I will continue to pursue this career and make a tremendous impact in the community. This career will provide me with excellent benefits
My internship at 6abc has been a dream come true. For me brushing elbows with a famous journalist like Jim Gardner means more than meeting a famous movie star. The atmosphere in the building is something indescribable and it changes every day, every hour to be precise. When news changes, the atmosphere changes. I have honestly dreamed of working at 6abc since I first realized I wanted to be a broadcaster. Their sense of family on television really grabbed me and I always knew that this was the place I wanted to work. Well I got here, but for only three short months, and it breaks my heart to know that I have to leave. There have been some ups and downs during my experience in the Creative Services department, but I gained a better understanding
Selecting a career is the most important decision in a person’s life. The Health care industry has a good future in the United States of America. According to the American Department of Labor, the Medical assistant is one of the fastest growing health care professions. I have always been inclined towards health care and therefore I decided to be a medical assistant. To become a medical assistant one should possess different qualities. But the most important quality is to be a very responsible person.
Life contains an unlimited amount of life lessons; my main life lesson has inspired me to never give up on myself or my goals. Through my life experiences I have learned that there is no such thing as failure. I am certain with myself that I can find success through hard work and dedication. My career aspiration is to help others as a healthcare professional. More specifically, I have a dream of pursuing a career in physical therapy. Nothing gives me more self-satisfaction than to see that I am able to help people self-improve. Therefore, I have committed to studying and preparing myself for graduate school. I am currently an Undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida, destined to graduate in the Fall of 2017. There are multiple Undergraduate degree paths I can take to prepare myself for grad-school; however, I chose a path that can help me develop skills to provide the best possible service for my future patients. I am pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences
“We all have dreams. But in order to make dreams into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort” (Owens). Without any determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort dreams will not turn into reality. People should look forward and push for that reality. Anyone can say they will fulfill their dream, but it takes someone with dedication, determination and effort to accomplish that dream. Effort is the key to success. Effort is like the sugar and spice to everything nice. Without any push of effort for the dream to become reality dedication, determination and self-discipline don’t take place. The dream drives people to accomplish the unexpected.
Tony Hsieh the CEO of Zappos once said “Chase the vision, not the money, the money will end up following you.” My dream job is to own my own business someday to become an entrepreneur. “Entrepreneur is someone who has a vision of something and a want to create” once said by David Karp, Tumblr founder and CEO. To take responsibility to be the person that is the leader of my team. To help my vision come to life and be successful at it, I will need to reach my goals and gain knowledge. My wiliness to help others find their goals in life and them to accomplish them.
