From my aspect as a student, it’s a nice city, close to Dallas and a major airport. Also, I can learn more and clearly in a small-sized classes. They have modern technology. Also, what they have are well-organize majors. In addition, TCU can offer a good Christ teaching and mission trips. However, there are some disadvantages. There is no parking place in campus. Students might not afford high tuition. TCU lacks diversity. Everything is expensive in campus. Plus, dorms are inconsistency.

I would like to get a teaching degree from a university. The two universities that I really love are UNC Chapel Hill and Wake Forest University. When comparing UNC Chapel Hill to Wake Forest I find they are both similar, yet different. Looking at cost of tuition, the number of students, graduation rate, location, admission rate, room and board, financial aid, and flexibility for both universities it will help me decide which college I would most likely attend.
Santiam Christian has emphasized and matured my Christian values which are a priority when researching colleges. GCU has always been an interest of mine due to the financial incentives for students from our school, scholarship opportunities, volleyball, and is located in a warm climate. In addition, there are incentives and opportunities to visit Grand Canyon University even as a junior, which is of interest to
On December 10, 2009 at Hamilton University in Clinton, New York, college professors debated current college curriculum (Liew). They talked about how their college could make the leap from being good to being great. At the 22nd American Mathematical Association of Two-Year Colleges conference held in Long Beach, California on November 14, 1996, the topic of changing curriculum was discussed (“Mich”). The University of Louisiana, Lafayette, is eliminating its philosophy major, while Michigan State University is doing away with American studies and classics, after years of decline in enrollments in those majors (Zernike). The purpose of a college education is to meet the student’s needs so that they can compete and understand the connection between a degree and a job that will enable them to compete with other world economies, give them a well-rounded education that will enable them to earn a higher income, and retain a lifetime full of knowledge....

Coming to Waynesburg University I have learned different thing about the faculty, classes, students, community, and the atmosphere. I stereotyped college professors off of movies I have watched and thought they were
Receiving my first collegiate scholarship was a very important point in my life. This is a wonderful experience that I would like to thank you for personally. I concluded my second year with all A’s and a cumulative 3.87 GPA. This summer I worked on a research project within the communication college at Ohio State, and in the fall I will begin my third year of college as a strategic communication major. I also hold multiple part time jobs, one of which being an audio visual technician in the Ohio Union. This scholarship will greatly alleviate some financial stress my parents and I have met during my time as a student.
My interest to attend UMD dates back to when I heard my brother say, “If you get in, you are in the best school in the state!” After watching him graduate from College Park in 2008, I had decided that I wanted to attend UMD from then on because of the beautiful campus and diverse environment that welcomes everyone. When I saw my brother walk across that stage, I thought to myself “How great would it be if I walk across that stage one day and make my parents proud?” and ever since I have dreamt of attending UMD. That moment changed my life and to this day I dream of attending UMD to walk across that stage and my family watching me get my degree, just like my brother.
Engineers have a very important job in that they create solutions to the world’s problems. They advance mankind through inventing and innovating unlike any other field. I feel that I can make a great impact on this advancement and that an opportunity this large cannot be passed up. I have always excelled and been highly interested in math and science and I think that Engineering is the perfect combination of both. Though I am not sure what type of engineering specifically I would like to pursue a degree in, this school will allow me to try many different types and have a good understanding of each before I make the decision that will dictate a good chunk of my life. Michigan’s College of Engineering is well known across the globe for being one of the
Most of the students that live on campus are west residents. These students are only allowed to park on the West side of campus, or they will get a parking ticket. There are four dorms on this side of campus and they all share a small parking lot by Madison, the few parking spaces along University Avenue, and one parking lot between Commons and Ouachita Hall.
The trips were terrific!!! My workshop at UMich was good and the weather there was quite cool at night. The wind from Lake Michigan was actually chilly. I can even imagine how cold it is in the winter! But the buildings are pretty (especially the Law school) and the football stadium is huge. I enjoyed the week over there. I spent a Saturday afternoon in Detroit after the workshop. The Art Institute has rich collection of paintings and statues. And the free history museum nearby is super fun. Also, that was my first time passing by a baseball stadium. The Tigers had a game in the afternoon. The new light rail was packed hours before the game started due to the game. Though it was crowded, it was an interesting experience to me. One of the most
