After meeting with my academic advisor and one of the dietitians from China, I learned a lot of strategies to achieve my goal. In other word, I affirmed my goals after my meeting with them. They provides some information and advice for me, those helped me a lot. I think I already know what I want for my future.
Firstly, I met with my academic advisor about to apply graduate school during mid of October. She is a very nice person that helped me to contact admission center and also school of HPER. After talking with her, I find that I feel better and more confidence. To be honestly, I lost my confidence after I changed three majors in college. I am a senior year student, but sometimes, I still afraid that I don’t know what I really like and my interest. I have talked with my academic advisor about this kind of situations before I took this course. She told me that I can try to take this course and I may find what I want during the process. Before taking this course, I am disappointed that my major is general studies. My academic advisor told me not to be disappointed. She said her major is English, but now she is a college advisor. She told me that in some conditions, one’s work is not related to their major. The most important thing is that you have to find a work which is meaningful and can make you happy. She gave me suggestion to make an appointment with one of professor from nutrition science in HPER to get more information about the application of Graduate school. But I didn’t meet with the professor yet due to the final is coming and some other issue; I will make appointment as soon as possible.
Secondly, I had an informational Interview with a Chinese dietitian by phone last month. It is not a formal interview. The dietit...

...t. Then, I should apply for the Graduate school as major in nutrition science.
The second sub-objective for me to achieve my goal is to explore network and prepare to find a summer internship to raise experience. I should use the strategies I leaned from career searching class to find IU Alumini and ask them for a short informational interview and explore the networking for future. I also need to make an appointment with advisor from career development center to revise my resume and to make a plan for job searching.
In conclusion, to achieve my goal I still need to pay more attention and make a specific plan to finish all things I need to achieve my goal. It is a long process to achieve my goal. I have to adjust my mental attitude and meet some people for advice and get information. Although it is not easy for me to achieve my goal, I will try my best to do it.
Canada’s immigration policy has got fairer from the middle of the century on to the end of the century. At the start of the century, Canada’s immigration policy, Canada’s immigration policy wasn’t fair but as the century comes to an end, Canada’s immigration policy became entirely different. There were a lot of racism in the first half of the century but most of this racism in the immigration policy disappeared from 1967 and on. As the years go by, Canada’s immigration policy gets a lot reasonable.
Canada: Canada’s immigration policy is a little bit more lenient. As with Mexico, they welcome foreigner who will be helpful to the economy and society. They must also be good citizens with good moral standings.
Immigration is of great economic and social benefit to Canada. It’s an important role in developing our economy, and it shapes the nation into a multicultural nation. Immigration is a significant role in building our economy, providing growth in the labor force, making a strong economy, and becoming a multicultural nation.
More immigration lead to racism and fear among both English Canadians who believed immigrants were taking away their jobs and French Canadians who feared that immigrants may potentially dominate their culture. These misconceptions and fears lead the Canadian government to declare new regulations that restricted the immigration of Asian and eastern, and southern European descents as well as Jewish immigrants. Canada gave more preference to descendants of both Britain and Western Europe. Policies were then developed to grant access to the best immigrants (as it was called) who were mainly whites that possessed a wealth of skills and benefits but to exclude the non whites who we...
By using the S.M.A.R.T. goal system, you are able to make your dreams a reality, one small step at a time. The first step in reaching a long-term goal is to understand the S.M.A.R.T. the goal process. Simply using the words specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound can be a bit confusing. After a bit of research, I was able to better define the method. Using a S.M.A.R.T. Goal worksheet provided by Tatt (2012).

During the month of October, Canada’s political scene was very busy due to the 2015 federal election held on the 19th. Throughout the previous months, the public held great interest towards the campaigns of each party as well as their platforms in order to choose the party that the public wanted as the new government of Canada. In the campaigns, a major topic that was included in every party’s plan was the Syrian refugee crisis that is currently an issue in many countries around the globe. This crisis has taken the media by storm and is a concern for many citizens in Canada. As a country known to be peaceful and generous, many people would assume that Canada would be one of the first to step in and help those in need but that is not the case. The general population does not know that the current laws in place make becoming a refugee in Canada a long and unfair process. Acquiring refugee status in Canada, protecting Canada’s Immigration System Act, health care for refugees and the current stance of Canada in regards to the refugee crisis are all factors that the general public must be more aware about. The current laws regarding refugees of Canada must change.
And to enter you would either have to be a farmer, british, or American, but that all changed by 1952, when the government brought in a new immigration act which accepted all races, religion, beliefs and cultures to enter into their country. As you know, once you settle into a new country, it is customary to start a life which means, having a family, a job and a home. But during the war, it prevented many Canadians form having a child since there were limited jobs and homes, which made it hard to provide an income to support their family. But after the war had ended, everything went suddenly right. Thousands of young men returned home to return back to their jobs and start a family. By 1950, its population went up by nearly 30% due to young people having a lot of babies which resulted in the “Baby Boom”. As new young families began to emerge, they started purchasing cars, homes and furniture and things they have ever wanted but could not during the war. Companies started manufacturing family necessities and people who needed jobs could come and help manufacture these products, and the baby boom was one of Canada’s producers that accelerated
No goals have been achieved through sheer laziness and lack of motivation. In fact, it is quite the opposite, achieving a truly useful goal is through hard work and determination. Along with that, make sure to do the necessary research to achieve your goal. Once that is said and done, develop the master plan and set your plan into action. It will be a long and difficult road, but the harder the trial the greater the
Based on a variety of personal experiences, I became very interested in the role of foods and nutrition. During my last year of highschool, my favorite who had a successful business succumbed to a strange alliment. He was tired all the time and was diagnosed to live only 1 year. While he didn't have cancer, his bloodwork had many abnormalites the doctors couldn't diagnose. He began to seek out other doctors who ultimately recommended that his see a dietitian. This changed his life. He started to eat low fat foods thats packed in vitamins, quit smoking and drinking and started to exercise regular bases. One year later, he could get out of bed, live as an full energetic person as he had before. This made him inspired to study nutrition in America. I was overwhelmed after I knew his history and never looked at food the same way again. It is clear to me now that how people eat and what people eat is an important factor in acheving optimum health, that just exercise isn't enough.
I feel that graduate study at your university will give me credentials to secure challenging assignments and ability to meet the demands of those assignments.
I would like to begin this assignment by first stating my career goals; as I move forward with the assignment I will then start my academic goal.
...acles that I will overcome to reach my goal are my very hectic schedule, and my tendency to procrastinate. When I reach this goal, my life will be better because I will be almost half- way finished with my college education, I will have gained abundant information through my experiences, and I will be able to fully support my child without needing help from government programs.
...ineering with first-class honours is my ultimate academic goal. After that, I am planning to further my study in PhD and make a research about the microstructure. It is easy to set the target but to achieve it need a lot of work and sacrifice the time and money. Strategic planning and full preparation needed to make the dream come to reality. I always tell myself that I have a potential to reach the target, and it is not impossible for me. To motivate me, I do read articles about the successful people as it may give me an inspiration and encourage me to be like them or even more.
