June 16th was approaching; John had yet to ask his father if he would take him to the enthusiast’s event at the local amusement park, Kings Dominion. John knew his time was short; if he did not ask he would not be able to go.
Then the evening of June 10th his father was home from work early. This was John’s chance, he stealthily observed his fathers actions to make sure his father was in a good mood and that it would be a good day to ask. His waiting served him good, for he picked the day when his father had received a big bonus on his paycheck. When he timidly asked his father, “Father, at Kings Dominion they are holding a special event for enthusiasts, can we go?”
“Why of course, that sounds like a great idea,” the father replied ecstatically.
“Great, we need to make sure to get tickets soon,” the son reminded his father.
“We will get the tickets tonight,” the father replied before the son could finish his statement.
When they logged on to the computer, they were shocked. After double checking they had to face the truth. The last ticket to the event had just been sold. They had been so exited to go the event, but they would not get to go for the fact that the park had run out of tickets.
John was despondent; he could not believe his luck. He wondered if he had asked earlier if he would have got the tickets. He wondered if he could get fraudulent tickets to the event, he could not. He decided to contact the prominent public relations employee to see if additional tickets could be obtained. When the employee replied that it would not be possible, John began to think of the park as the antagonist of the story. With deep rue the day passed.
Almost a year after the calamity, it was announced the park would be doing the eve...

...he headed to his father’s car to go home.
In the winter of that year John was contacted by the park asking if they could use his photo in the park brochure. Of course he said yes, he was informed that he would receive a small prize pack for his amazing photo. He wondered if it could get any better, after waiting for months he decided it would not. Years later a letter arrived in his mailbox. It was on official Kings Dominion stationary; it was a job letter asking John if he would like to become the public relations employee for the park.
John often ponders if he had gone that first year would everything be the same. If he had gotten tickets would he have won on the midway game? Would he have gotten a free ride on the up-charge attraction? And would he have gotten the job offer? He may, or he may have not, it could have been luck, or a reward for being patient.

In that we will talk about how he did that and why he did it that way.
To me, the drive felt like forever even though it was only 35 miles from Petoskey to Mackinaw City. As 10-year-old me sat in the back seat of my mom’s car, I remember repeatedly asking the question most parents dread to hear, “are we almost there?” Every time I asked she would shake her head in bemused frustration and respond, “you’ll know when we get there”. At the time, I was not sure what I was most excited for: the ride on the ferry, the big horses, the historical fort, the inevitable delicious ice cream; it all sounded whimsically amazing and I could not be more excited to arrive on Mackinac Island.
It is not specifically known how Anthony Johnson came to own his “modest estate” or how he ended up in Northampton. Historians believe that his former master, Rirchard Bennett,...

John being an honest and truthful man, knew he couldn’t live the rest of his life in a lie, but what he had to do to not live a lie ended in a tragic death for not only himself but for his wife, family, and
John was a rather mischevious teen. At the age of 13 John tried to run away to join the circus. Dad was not all that impressed
“Come on, guys,” I yelled at my family, which consists of my mom Madonna, my father John, and my two sisters Alissa and Kara, as I ran frantically across the jam-packed parking lot to the opening gate that led to a world of adventure. As wide as the world around, my eyes pierced at the doorway to a world of fun. Families, of all sizes, were enjoying all the possibilities of fun. Hearing laughter and frightening screams, warned me of the experience waiting for me within the doorway to everlasting amazement. The sweet baked smell of funnel cakes swarmed into the fresh morning air. Before I knew it, my family and I were ready to enter Valleyfair, an amusement park that offers summertime fun to the maximum.
The character of the husband, John, in “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman is introduced as a respected physician and a caring husband who strives to improve the mental health of his wife, the narrator, who is diagnosed with temporary nervous condition. John tries throughout the story to apply professional treatment methods and medications in his approach to helping his wife gain strength. However, his patient, his wife, seems to disregard John’s professional opinions and act as if she is following his advices only during his awakening presence with her. The narrator seems to be in need of John’s positive opinion about the status of her mental condition in order to avoid the criticism even though she disagrees with his treatment methodology. John, without doubt, cares for his wife and her wellbeing, but he does not realize how his treatment method negatively impacts their relationship his wife’s progress towards gaining strength. Although John was portrayed as a caring and a loving physician and husband to the narrator through out most of the story, he was also suggested as being intrusive and directive to a provoking level in the mind of the narrator.
When you got to ride along with Grandpa you never knew what kind of adventure you would have. Would we go somewhere extraordinary? No. Would we leave Sarpy
The arrival of winter was well on its way. Colorful leaves had turned to brown and fallen from the branches of the trees. The sky opened to a new brightness with the disappearance of the leaves. As John drove down the country road he was much more aware of all his surroundings. He grew up in this small town and knew he would live there forever. He knew every landmark in this area. This place is where he grew up and experienced many adventures. The new journey of his life was exciting, but then he also had a sick feeling in the pit of his stomach of something not right.
This passage is critical to the development of Mark’s Character because in the book, the first day John came to class, Mark tripped him, at the Halloween fair, he hurt him. The hatred between these two was burning hot. I kind of find it ironic that the person who wanted to kill John ended up saving his life.
John is 5ft 8 inches, has lots of dark black hair with a few greying pieces at the side of his head. He wears small dark round glasses and has a moustache that is almost completely grey. John is a slim man as he knows the importance of keeping himself healthy as every day he sees so many people who have not. John is a very kind man who is always so calm and patient with everyone.
The movie “John Q” narrates a story of the financially constrained character John Quincy Archibald who ensures that his nine year old son at the brink of death, secures a heart transplant by any means possible. Throughout the movie, there is a compelling display of the love shared by a family and this is seen in the great lengths John went to save his son, however unlawful. The main characters are John, Michael and Denise Archibald, Rebecca Payne, Doctor Turner and Lt. Grimes.
