John Fielder is a nationally famous photographer. For the last 40 years his photos are taken of Colorado while he is hiking and skiing. When he first visited Colorado at the age of 14 he said he felt like something or someone guided him their and he belonged in Colorado for the rest of his life. He is well known for creating his best selling books ever; Colorado 1870-2000. His latest work is the work of great outdoors Colorado for its 20th anniversary. When he was 23 he decided to start doing photography. He was amazed by other famous photographers work and tried to take photos just like them, but it didn’t really turn out how he wanted. Nevertheless he did not give up. On his days off he would go on hikes and he would take photos. He practiced for 8 years and decided to quit his job and just focus on photography. He loves nature so therefore he loves to take photos or nature. He has published 33 books in the past 30 years. He uses photography with a large format 4 x 5 film camera, he also carries 7 lenses and 30 sheet film holders and about 400 sheets of color film. In the winter he usually country skies around the mountains of Colorado. He skies 5 to 9 miles a day to get to hut to hut. In the summer he goes on river trips and usually river rafts. Sometimes he rafts on class 5 rapids. He has two daughters who love to go on trips with him although they do not take photos themselves.

...hy this is like this is because this picture is taken of ruin called cliff palace in mesa Grande. The ruins are getting older and therefore are not as new looking as they were 130 years ago. This photo is really cool to
John Fielder takes amazing shots and I love how he takes it of nature because I love to explore the outdoors and discover new places. One of my favorite photos by him is Ice lake James Peak Wilderness near winter park. I really love the colors in this photo they look really amazing and the photo. It captures the sunrise makes it look like a breath taking view. The photo really follows the one thirds rule. It draws a person attention to the middle of the picture, right where the sunrise is. Overall I really like John fielders photos and the works that he does.

The house is surrounded by green grass which makes the image more realistic and the trees in the background and the tree in the foreground create a sense of depth. The image is quite well spaced out, due to a vast amount of area situated between objects. There is a visual equality in the symmetrical image. There is a contrast between the colours of the image to draw attention to the house. The image looks to be taken in the dusk of the afternoon, where there is not much natural light, which creates a darker tone. The main emphasis of the image is the house, which seems to be quite different when the image is first seen by a viewer. The texture helps emphasize the main focal point seeing though it is quite smooth, the colour also creates a mood towards the image and atmosphere in the image. The line helps develop structure due to the tone being a medium darkness. In some places (the area surrounding the house) is a degree lighter and shadows are present to help form the line throughout this part of the

For my museum selection I decided to attend Texas State University’s Wittliff Collection. When I arrived, there was no one else there besides me and the librarian. To be honest, I probably would have never gone to an art museum if my teacher didn’t require me to. This was my first time attending the Wittliff Collection, thus I asked the librarian, “Is there any other artwork besides Southwestern and Mexican photography?” She answered, “No, the Wittliff is known only for Southwestern and Mexican photography.” I smiled with a sense of embarrassment and continued to view the different photos. As I walked through Wittliff, I became overwhelmed with all of the different types of photography. There were so many amazing pieces that it became difficult to select which one to write about. However, I finally managed to choose three unique photography pieces by Alinka Echeverria, Geoff Winningham, and Keith Carter.
Are young children putting their health and even their lives at risk if they partake in the sport of football? Some claim that the American sport is far too dangerous and the risk of concussions and injuries far outway the pros of the physical sport, while others insist that technological improvements and new regulations have made the sport safer. Jonathan Zimmerman, a professor of history and education at New York University, argues in his paper, “We Must Stop Risking the Health of Young Football Players,” that football is a sport that is too dangerous for the youth. He states his belief that technological improvements in helmets and changes in the rules of the sport have had little effect on reducing injuries and that nothing has worked.

In the year 1957, Canada elected its first Prime minister without English or French root, John Diefenbaker. While growing up in the city of Toronto, because of his German name, he was often teased. [1] He grew up as an outcast, and so he was able to relate to the discrimination and inequality many of the minorities in Canada felt. This essay will attempt to answer the question: To what extent did Prime Minister John Diefenbaker help promote equality to the minority communities. . The minorities in this time period were the women, aboriginals, and immigrants. During his time as the Prime Minister, he was able to help protect the rights of this group because many of their rights were being abused by the society. Diefenbaker also helped the minorities to stand up for themselves and other groups. Diefenbaker was able to bring positive change to the minority communities by making an official Bill of Rights and appointing people of discriminated groups to the parliament while other members did not.
The ideological imagination of Indians being in complete harmony with the nature led to Curtis encouraging subjects to pose in the landscape in order to perpetuate an inseparable bond between the natural world and their surroundings (Jackson, 1992). Adams not only was an excellent photographer, but he even taught himself to play the piano and read music at only twelve years old. Not much after teaching himself how to play, he began to take lessons which became a “substitute for formal schooling” for him (Turnage). He spent twelve years of his life committed to the piano and even planned on making it his profession. Although, he ended up giving up on music, playing the piano brought structure and discipline in his life; the training and craft also helped enlighten his artistic vision. John H. Johnson was born January 19, 1918 in rural Arkansas City, Arkansas. His parents were Leroy Johnson and Gertrude Jenkins Johnson. His father was killed in a sawmill accident when little John was eight years old. He attended the community's overcrowded, segregated elementary school. In the early 1930s, there was no public high school for African-Americans in Arkansas. His mother heard of better opportunities for African-Americans in Chicago and saved her meager earnings as a washerwoman and a cook and for years until she could afford to move her family to Chicago. This resulted in them becoming a part of the African-American Great Migration of 1933. There, Johnson was exposed to something he never knew existed, middle class black people.
Edward Burtynsky is landscape photographer who focuses on finding unique locations that are barren with environmental degradation. He is concerned with the current state of our world and wants to change it by using photography as a medium. Burtynsky 's photolistic style often shows incredible scale and detail within his photos by using multiple vantage points. Burtynsky approaches his subject in a very urgent manner, each and every photo is taken to create a deep impression from its viewer. His work is housed in more than 50 museums including the Guggenheim Museum, the National Gallery of Canada, and the Bibliothèque Nationale, Paris.

After listening to his story, you think of the different ways you could describe him. You could describe him by his looks, by his personality, and by the talents he portrays.
