The Industrial Revolution began in the United States in the 1800s. During this time the demand for goods increased because of new transportation systems like the steam boat and locomotive, these inventions made it easier and cheaper to transport goods across land or water. Therefore, factory production increased to meet the country’s demand of many goods. This era marked the beginning of global warming because factories were powered by coal, and as a result increasing greenhouse gases. A greenhouse gas is “a gas such as carbon dioxide, ozone, or water vapor that contributes to the warming of the Earth’s atmosphere by reflecting radiation from the Earth’s surface” . “The naturally occurring greenhouse effect is necessary to provide a warm atmosphere conducive to life on Earth“, but because human activities increase the greenhouse gases the green house effect is badly increasing causing the temperatures to rise . Greenhouse effect is the “warming of the Earth’s surface as a result of atmospheric pollution by gases” . Because global warming today is not only caused by coal, but by oil , methane , and other greenhouse gases, consumers today should decrease the use of greenhouse emitting things and look for more efficient options …show more content…

Consumers should take care of the natural process of the greenhouse effect and avoid altering the gases that harm it. It is possible to prevent or possibly reverse global warming if consumers are more careful with the amount of greenhouse gases being emitted through their use of coal, oil, methane etc. The inhabitants of the world should give the world time to recover from the pollutants in order for the world to be as healthy as it was before the Industrial Revolution. It is important for the glaciers, plants, animals, land, water, and everything else in the world to be preserved because sources like these are irreplaceable once they cease to
