In My Darkest Hour Jon sat up on his phone, trying to reach Brianna through FaceTime, but she wouldn't pick up. It was Angel's birthday, so he expected her to at least let him be there for her seventh birthday. "One last time," he said to himself after probably the hundredth time. Finally, someone picked up, and it wasn't Brianna. instead, it was Angel. "Happy birthday, sweetheart," he said with a smile. Angel returned the smile then called Brianna over to her phone. "I'm talking to dad," she stated, hoping that they would get back together. Instead, her mother stared blankly at the TV screen in front of her. She turned her attention back to Jon and frowned. "Mom's throwing a party for me, and it starts later today. Only a few people are going to be there, but I don't care" Jon nodded and opened his mouth to speak, but he shut it quickly when he realized that it wouldn't be a smart idea. Then again, he didn't have anything to lose. "Is...Can I talk to your mom?" She nodded before placing the phone into Brianna's hand and sitting next to her. Brianna didn't say anything; all she did was stare at him through the phone, wishing that he was dead. It was obvious that she going to say anything, so he took the initiative to speak first. "How are you feeling?" Nothing. "Anything new?" Nothing. "Have you—" before he could say anything else, Brianna cut him off, tired of hearing him. "Jon, I don't want to talk to you, and I don't think I ever will. You cheated on me because you thought I was doing the same while I was in a mental hospital. How could I ever forgive you?" She stared at the phone, tears falling from her eyes as the memory came back. "Just tell Angel goodbye, I don't want to hear your voice anymore," she said bitterly bef... ... middle of paper ... ... her face. She wasn't finished, but Luke held her back before she did any serious damage. "You don't ever say that , especially around my daughter. Do you have any idea how hard I worked to try to turn my life around?" "Turn around? The pain killers and heroin says otherwise." She looked down at Ariel, who had a worried expression. "Your playtime will have to be cut short, honey. I don't want you around these people anymore." With that, she left the house with Ariel. Angel was visibly upset, and Brianna started feeling a little guilty. "More people are going to come, don't worry," she said, patting her on her shoulder. She turned her attention back to Luke and frowned. "If anyone else wants to supervise and they're anything like her, I want you to only let me greet them and then force me to go into my room," she ordered, allowing Luke to see just how angry she was.
Realization struck Jonas. He opened his to mouth to try and say something, but words failed him. The girl nodded.
I look at my mom and shrugged my shoulders, “I don’t know, I think she was talking to her friend about a party or something.”
"What, exactly, did you think you were doing?" Reinhardt's calm, but stern voice filtered in through the haze surrounding her head.
She turned the other direction so as to not watch him leave--it was too hard. Then she heard him call, "Danielle!" She turned back around. "I'm sorry." He said.
"Why sorry?" he croaked, and she realized that when she did what she had done, he had broken."I put all of my problems on your shoulders. I didn't even ask how you ever felt, I broke you. I forgot that I was all you had and yet I knotted the rope and I kicked away that chair; I left you here in this cruel, cruel world that I knew you feared."
"We went outside, and we were all standing there," he said. "I thought everything was okay, so I called my mom again. I told her I was okay, but after that, I guess they didn't get him or something."
“No, don’t you see she’s trying to be a good mom for once” Aspen said trying to convince him.
Dr. Brooks glanced to Becca. "Becca would you come with me? Your mom wants a moment alone."
"Don't you see now, Ally? You must learn to let things go. For a wound to heal, you mustn't touch it. Or else it will get infected."
“There is too much stress here and I can't deal with the many affairs that are going on. Daisy is too much to handle and I can't even begin to mention Tom.” She replied back. I could tell in her eyes that she did not want to leave at all but she knew she had to.
“I suppose they are ashamed of me, I’m not their perfect daughter anymore. Does it really matter, it’s not like anyone ever noticed me anyways,”
"Enough Lydia! You need to get out of this house! Ever since..." she paused, "Ever since Elliot died you haven't left this place. You won't even step off that porch. You can't be like this when that baby comes. She or he is gonna need a mother who isn't afraid to live her life. You need to learn to live and be happy without
It felt so dragged out because all I wanted was to see him and tell him the news. Our connection felt different, phone calls were made shorter and they weren’t as frequent. I missed him. Two nights had gone by without a phone call or even a message. This wasn’t typical of Luke. I was becoming increasingly worried. I tried to distract myself from the situation and went to Atlanta to visit my parent’s for the weekend. This provided a distraction from my despair. When I arrived home, the flat fell silent. I sat aimlessly on the sofa, starring at the telephone, hoping that maybe it would ring. I tried turning my television on but I was oblivious to anything around me. I didn’t know what to do with myself. I knew something was wrong. Fifty-five minutes passed, as I stared at the phone. That was when I heard it
Joe grinned, but then his eyes narrowed, he studied Shauna, and his expression turned serious. "How are you doing, sis? We didn't talk long earlier. Are you all right?"
I stared at her for a few seconds, clamped my teeth together so hard my jaw ticked, then nodded and started to walk out. “I won’t be mad if you find somebody else.” Stormy said softly.
