My argument is based an opinion piece, from a magazine article online “we do abortions here: A Nurse’s Tale. The nurse does not agree with abortion because what different women go through. She is saying that you do want kids, then, why put yourself in the position to make it happen, and that some women are too careless. She gives different scenarios on what women go through when abortion is about to take place, but it is not an easy thing. The nurse always ask these woman “Are you sure you want to have an abortion? In the first place, my definition of murder is an illegal intentional butchery of one human being by another. Identically, when it comes to abortion, I think it is murder. As a matter of fact, abortion is erroneous behind reasons beyond God’s laws and moral requirements. Not only, but abortion is totally wrong due to the fact that the baby is a separate human being. A woman should not have the right to kill her child. If murder is against the law, then killing a baby have to be as well.
With this in mind, I learned that six weeks after conception, the baby's heart starts beating. Certainly, it is an actual child that assembles inside a woman's body. It definitely cannot be an alien or an animal. As far as I know, following the moment it is conceived, it is a child. Realistically, upon being pregnant, the life is called a baby instantaneously the mother to be officially starts preparing for the birth of the child. Conclusion
In conclusion, for those of you, who support abortion and think it is okay, put yourself in the babies’ shoes. I know that everybody has to die, and we do not live on earth forever. With that being said, I cannot imagine dying. I do not want to imagine the world without me in it. As a result, I will love to know how all you abortion supporter will feel if someone seized your ability to live. For one second, just picture yourself not being capable of having the opportunity to say whether or not you want to live or die but also not being able to have an actual voice in this case. Unfortunately, babies are not entitled to have a choice in their mother’s womb. This is very hurtful and tragic. Please refrain from abortion and be responsible. It is cruel and unfair.
According to Judith Jarvis Thomson a female philosopher, from the article Defense of Abortion in Philosophy & Public Affairs, Vol. 1, no. 1 (Fall 1971). “Suppose a woman has become pregnant, and now learns that she has a cardiac condition such that she will die if she carries the baby to term. What may be done for her? The fetus, being to life, but as the mother is a person too, so has she a right to life.” Judith Thomson has a point. Individual tends to forget the mother through the process of being pregnant. If the woman has complications with her pregnancy to the point where her life is at risk, the best thing for her to do is get rid of the unborn child without second thoughts. If a situation arises as such, the women has the right to terminate the pregnancy because in a situation as such her life comes first. Judith also proposed an experiment. Thomson argues that the women have the moral right to seek and obtain an abortion. Thomson argues that women has to control her own body and if she did not give the fetus the right to use her body, then abortion would not be unjust killing. Thomson feels that the right to life does not guarantee that one will be given the permission of the use of the mother’s body. To support her points, thomson had a violinist analogy. An issue that has flared up in today’s society, abortion is a highly debated topic that has sparked some of the most violent discussions. The rapid growth in teenage pregnancy has only increased the amount of attention that has been drawn to abortion and whether it is ethical or not. While some say that a woman is in power of her own body and can make choices based on her best interest, some take much offense to that and demand that a baby is a baby no matter how small it is and that abortion is never okay. It is important to know going into this debate that to argue one side, one would have to be 100% consistent with that decision because of all of the grey areas that come up regarding abortion. With so many women choosing to have abortions, it would be expected that it would not be so greatly frowned up, yet society is still having problems with its acceptance. Every woman has the fundamental right to decide for herself, free from government interference, whether or not to have an abortion. Today, more than ever, American families do not want the government to trample on their right to privacy by mandating how they must decide on the most intimate, personal matters. That is why, even though Americans may differ on what circumstances for terminating a crisis pregnancy are consistent with their own personal moral views, on the fundamental question of who should make this personal decision, the majority of Americans agree that each woman must have the right to make this private choice for herself. Anti-choice proposals to ban abortions for “sex-selection” or “birth-control” are smokescreens designed to shift the focus of the debate away from this issue and trivialize the seriousness with which millions of women make this highly personal decision. Any government restriction on the reasons for which women may obtain legal abortions violates the core of this right and could force all women to publicly justify their reasons for seeking abortion.
It is saddening to see humans of the female gender, who find themselves in a situation that requires introducing a new life into the world; to abort such a precious gift. Many may wonder how these poor, innocent, unborn children are then discarded after the abortion procedure. One cannot fathom the reason of these gruesome murders that happens within these medical facilities. Babies are disposed in the red waste bins of these facilities, and later incinerated. Some may either be flushed down garbage disposals or even be sold off for research purposes. The issue of abortion is not just a social one, but also a human rights issue among the unborn children. I believe if the human rights of these children has been violated, then all other rights of humans are certainly meaningless.
Abortion is one of America’s most controversial subjects. The participants in this debate have fixed beliefs on the matter at hand. On one side of the debate are people who believe in pro- choice. They argue that choice of a woman is more important than an unborn fetus. They point out that an unborn child is not on the same level of importance as the mother. Also, the pro-life group declares that choice is the sole purpose behind their argument. They believe that if a woman cannot chose to abolish a pregnancy, then she looses one of her basic human rights. The other side of the debate is the pro-life group. Their main concern is that the fetus is a person; therefore, having the same human rights as the mother. As a result, when states pass laws that enable abortions, these states are legalizing murder. When considering an individual’s ethics and values, killing is morally wrong. Therefore, the termination of unborn children is wrong, as well. Abortion, the unethical expulsion of an embryo or fetus, in order to purposely end a pregnancy, should be forbidden because human life begins at conception, economics is not a justification for abortion, and an unwanted child does not justify abortion.
In my argumentative coursework I am arguing that abortion is wrong and not to be mistaken with 'Abortion should be made illegal.' I will explain later why I have made this statement. Abortion is the termination of an unborn child in its mother's womb for up to twenty four weeks of the pregnancy or in special circumstances e.g. Disability diagnosis a termination right up until the mother goes in to labour. I think the above definition is an easier and less harsh way of saying that abortion is the murdering of a human being. Is abortion murder? Murder is defined as "illegal killing with malice aforethought." Abortion fails this definition for two reasons. First, abortion is not illegal, and second, there is no evidence to suggest that expecting mothers feel malice towards their own flesh and blood.

Many people are for and against abortions. Some people say that the child inside its mother’s womb deserves the opportunity to live, while others believe that a mother has the right to choose whether or not her fetus can live or die. Other advocates for abortion claim that abortion helps keep the threat of overpopulation down.
