Evolutionists Vs Human Evolution Essay

Most evolutionists believe that humans were not descended from monkeys. Instead, they both share a common ancestor that eventually split into different species and have been expanded and modified through theorized changes in form and function. However creationists believe that “God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them, and he made it good.” (Genesis 1:27-28) In this essay I will be explaining some of the different questions about human evolution and what creationists and evolutionists think about them.
The first major question about human evolution is; have humans evolved from an ape-like creatures? Most evolutionists believe that humans shared a common ancestor. Evolution …show more content…

“First is DNA, differences in our DNA have led to the different hair colors, eye color and etcetera.” (Dr. Kim Matulef, Standford University) Second evolution requires DNA to be passed down from father to son or mother to daughter. Over a long period of time more animals have good DNA and fewer have bad DNA. This is called natural selection. Which brings us back to the question have humans evolved from apes. What most evolutionists think caused modern apes and humans to appear was the two groups have been separated in different environments for a long of time. Natural selection can work to evolve new species if the old gets split into two different groups. Most evolutionist believe that between 7 to 8 million years ago an ape-like species live in the forests of Africa, and were success full to survive until the climate began to change and forests began to dry out which forced apes to leave the woods and into the open grass. Over millions of years of separation. On the creationist side Martin Lubenow explains that the “various alleged ape men …show more content…

A lot of evolutionists usually say that over time scientists have found hundreds of transitional fossils linking humans to apes, the evolutionary branch of primates that includes humans, has been revealed when the two million year old skeleton of Lucy was found. Most scientists believe the almost complete fossilized skeleton belonged to the early human ancestor that was related to Homo habilis. Most skeletons found today are mainly scattered bone fragments. Also the known bones of the Neanderthals were thought to be missing links of humans because they stood up straight. Lucy was thought of the missing link between humans and apes because she was thought to be a part in evolution, she walked upright, and her limps were in proportion to Neanderthals. Creationists do not believe in missing links since they believe in the Bible and God, so most bones that scientists find are so incomplete and so the remaining parts of the skeleton have to be imagined, which does not make anything factual. Richard Leakey says that “in 1983 no firm conclusion could be drawn about what species Lucy belonged
