Baking to me is passion; it is an art. It gives me an opportunity to create. I love to bake and my specialty is desserts. It was very hard to narrow down and decide what it is that I wanted to write about being that there are so many dishes and desserts that I have mastered throughout the years. One of my favorite, yet simple, desserts to make is a Chocolate Trifle. My trifles in addition to my pound cakes have become one of the most requested desserts to make. Making a Chocolate Trifle involves preparation and learning the language of the kitchen.
Preparation can be the difference between success and failure so having the kitchen prepared is the first step to take towards baking anything. Nothing is worse than opening the fridge to reach for six eggs for your pound cake when there are only three! Preparation for the Chocolate Trifle involves pre-heating the oven, making sure you have ample kitchen space to work and that all ingredients are laid out in front of you.
Learning the language of the kitchen simply means one must know and understand the terminology of baki...
The once male dominated, corporate, "white collar" America has seen a phenomenal influx of women within the last thirty years. Although a female lawyer, physician, or CEO is no longer considered a rarity in our times, women still face quite a deal of oppression in comparison to their male counterparts. In retrospect, some professions have always been controlled by women, and men have not made a noticeable advance in these fields. In 1970, finding a female lawyer to represent you would be a difficult task, since less than five percent of the profession were women. Today, that number has risen to almost thirty percent. The percentage of female doctors has almost tripled in the course of thirty years. African Americans have not made such a conspicuous progression within the last fifty years, while women have made a tremendous impact on the corporate world. One may wonder, how did women make these extraordinary advances? For the most part, it is due to the education they receive. At the present time young girls are encouraged to enroll in classes dealing with math and science, rather than home economics and typing. As pointed out by Nanette Asimov, in her essay "Fewer Teen Girls Enrolling in Technology Classes", school officials are advocating the necessity of advanced placement, and honor classes for teenage girls, in both the arts and sciences. This support and reassurance than carries over onto college, and finds a permanent fixture in a woman’s life. While women are continuing their success in once exclusively male oriented professions, they are still lacking the respect and equality from their peers, coworkers, and society. The average male lawyer, and doctor make twenty-five percent more money than their female equivalent. Women have always lived with the reputation of being intellectually inferior to, and physically submissive to men. This medieval, ignorant notion is far fetched from the truth. In 1999, high school men and women posted similar SAT scores, being separated by a only a few points. In addition to posting similar scores on the SAT, the average males score was a mere two-tenths of a point higher than an average females score on the ACT. Even though a woman maybe as qualified as a male for a certain occupation , women receive unwanted harassment, and are under strict scrutiny. A good illustration of this would be the women represented in "Two Women Cadets Leave the Citadel.

Most people who grow up with a foreign language spoken in there house grow up with an advantage in society. This advantage can only occur once the individual learning that foreign language also learns the dominant language spoken in that country. Once both of these languages are learned and mastered, the individual has now placed them se...

Stepping into high school, I have less time to roam around or to study something I wish, and dessert has always been one of my most ardent pursues. From an early age, my interests and preferences have always evolved around fantasies, cartoon, and sweets. To satisfy my long desire, I made this cookbook to tabulate out the most popular desserts along with their recipes and step by step preparing processes. Emperor Pig’s Dessert’s main theme features a pink pig (my friends use that to symbolize me) and categorizes desserts under four sections: beverages, cakes, ice creams, and international desserts. Everyday ingredients can be turned into more than one types of fine, polished desserts which you can enjoy with people you care about without repetition!
The title of this drama "Trifles" demonstrates how men have the assumption that women and their respective actions are seemingly unimportant. Trifles can be used in two forms in the English language. In verb form, trifle means to treat someone or something as unimportant or non-essential. The word trifle in noun form means something of little value or importance. Both definitions of this word yield an idea in this story that women are seen as trivial and are not worthy of respect by men. This idea is conveyed throughout the entire story by the belittling assumptions and attitude the men use toward the women. For example Hale says, " Well, women are used to worrying over trifles" (1003). Typically, a kitchen represents women's work and the idea of domesticity. In Glaspell's eyes, men tend to assume that nothing of importance occurs in the kitchen and this can be related to the idea that women are insignificant. As Glaspell writes,
...learn any foreign language is to understand the individual learning needs of a pupil, have extensive exposure to the foreign language, and to learn the structure of the that language (Goss 2013). If those three strategies are followed writers feel that language systems should be should be grasped by a majority of those who put forth the effort and remain dedicated to these systems. While there is not a single one sized fits all formula for all of humanities learning needs, the combination of all of the techniques methodologies described will make the goal of fluency more achievable. Consequentially, as the world becomes increasing globalized and interconnected between nations, so will the individuals of various linguistically systems, previously isolated systems in the ability to intercommunicate amongst each other, resulting in unforeseen benefits to all involved.

Buddy Valastro once said, “No matter what the recipe, any baker can do wonders in the kitchen with some good ingredients and an upbeat attitude.” I will be talking about Buddy Valastro’s family background, what inspired him to get into baking, and about his pastry specialty, which are cakes.
In the 1960s the civil rights movement inspired a new women’s movement, and women began to speak out for fair treatment at school and in the work place. Before these movement girls were warned about math classes being too difficult and were told that a college or a graduate degree was a waste of time. Boys were encouraged to study math and science to ready them for careers. Girls were supposed to be good in English and prepare to become wives and mothers. (Blumenthal 1) Past Generations that grew up with the development of education would now wonder why the genders would want to be separate when once they fought to be together.
The ability to navigate a culinary environment with moderate ease is a skill most often associated with those of the female persuasion. By the time a young girl enters the daunting world that is adolescence, she is faced with some expectations. One of these being, learning most, if not all, the skills associated with cookery. However, gone are the years where education was reserved only for those with testosterone while the girls sat idly by, tending to the home and preparing meals for the husband. The stereotypes set in place by the cultural norms of earlier decades have begun to fissure, as more and more women find themselves immersed in the dog-eat-dog world of business. In my personal opinion, I strongly believe with this newfound equality between the forces of testosterone and estrogen, it is imperative that boys and men alike learn how to cook for themselves. The ability to navigate a culinary environment is one of the most important skills any individual, regardless of gender, can possess, because it nurtures an invaluable independence in the individual, ensuring their success as they leave the nest of their parents and enter the real world for the first time.

Let’s face it, a good, creamy chocolate cake does a lot for a lot of people” said Audrey Hepburn and I agree. I once read that “desserts spelled backwards is stressed” and that’s exactly how I feel after a long week of chaos. What better to easy that then trying one of the new modern types of cupcakes or desserts. People are coming up with new and creative ways of satisfying that crave.
To begin with the process of making a pancake. I think it has a great recipe because it is easy to do. Currently, it has a starch-based batter that contains eggs, milk and butter, so I just prepare a hot surface such as a griddle or frying pan for make it. I can serve with a variety of toppings including jam, fruit, syrup, chocolate chips, or meat. Moreover, I like to make homemade
...cs. In the years, the country has started to realize the injustice it has been doing females in the field of mathematics. I believe that in the future these biases and disadvantages will be a thing of the past. Females have the mental capability to perform on an equal level with all respected and distinguished male mathematicians, but first social pressures and stereotypes must be eliminated.
