Our voice is our primary mean of communication, and most of us can’t go for more than a couple of minutes without using it. We don’t use your voice for just talking though, our voice can be used to do a variation of things. The most obvious example would be singing. So it is obvious the human voice is a means of communication, but it is also a source of pleasure for us. The human voice is not limited to just a couple sounds, no, the human voice can make a complex range of sounds but none of this could be possible if it weren’t for the complex system you possess in your throat.
First I’ll start off by talking about the physical components and how they contribute to the production of your voice. There are only about 6 main parts to your voice. Thanks to her family’s high stature and disposition in life, Anne Bradstreet was given an education: something that was not very common for women in the 1600's. Her poems enable her to speak freely and express the world through a women's eye. In doing so she laid down the foundation to what it truly means to be American.

In his essay “How We Listen,” Aaron Copland classifies and divides the listening process into three parts: “the sensuous place, the expressive plane, and the sheerly musical plane” (1074). I believe by this mechanical separation, Copland succeeds in discussing difficult topic, so natural that most people tend to by pass it. He uses analogy and sometimes stresses on certain situation where these planes are abused or become a cause of a problem. The main purpose for Copland to separate the listening process is for the reader to learn and study how they listen. Copland’s success in the clarification mainly because of two methods: (1) Categorizing the listening process in different parts and use an analogy to unite it to bring back the general idea of the listening process and (2) by answering and addressing to problems so the readers will understand and have a different view of the text.

When we imagine someone being discriminated or prejudice, we normally think it is because of their race, homophobia or gender at first. Discrimination against race, homophobia, and gender is the most known and heard of in our country. However, hard of hearing and Deaf people can be discriminated by people who are known as audists. Audism is the notion that one is superior based on one’s ability to hear or behave in way as one who hears (Harrington). Audism is the failure to accommodate someone who is deaf or hard of hearing as well.

Humans do not have the slightest bit of concern for others, being blinded by their own selfish ambition. Personally, I have witnessed several inhumane acts in my lifetime. But, one of worst I have seen was when I followed my wealthy friend to buy a used bicycle. The original price was $100, however my wealthy friend bargained the price down to $70. The woman unwillingly accepted the price, almost as if she was forced to due to her desperate circumstances.
