In 1867 William Lincoln patented a contraption that would revolutionize the entertainment industry. Lincoln’s first film capturing camera was called the “zoopraxiscope” or the “Wheel of Life.” Later on, in the 1890’s people began creating their own versions of portable cameras, whereas Lincoln’s camera was always mounted to a tripod, to prevent moving pieces from breaking. There is no way they could have known what an impact they would have had on the world. Film throughout the ages has created many incredible people, styles, and technology. Through film, there was less pressure for actors. Film directors began inventing new directing styles and abilities, taking film to their own, personal level. As for technology, the constant competition to have the greatest visual attractiveness led to the development of far greater equipment. Hundreds of sizes of film were created in the late 1800’s to early 1900’s, leading to the ever so convenient Digital Video we can shoot in today. Film has clearly developed greatly since it was created. Some of the great things about film are that it creates jobs, allows people to express themselves through many aspects such as acting, directing, editing, etc, and lastly, it began a worldwide passion for a whole new art. In Hollywood, approximately 210,000 people have packed into one small city because it is the best place to begin a career in film. People have devoted their lives to film, so greatly that they refuse to retire. Directing is always a very important aspect of film, and as the years have progressed, we’ve seen more and more directors take on the challenge of the film industry. There is constantly struggle to maintain your cast and crew, as well as insure the budget for the fi... ... middle of paper ... ...ican economy, film will always be beneficial to the US. Film in other countries however, has also taken the world be surprise. Korean film, has been found to be on the most entertaining styles of action, thrillers, and horrors, France has also become very successful in filming movies with deep, rooted plot lines keeping viewers on the edges of their seats. However foreign movies are a close second, American film sees no lower position than first in the near future. Thanks to the film industry, our country now has greater pride than ever. American has harvested many famous actors such as Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Morgan Freeman, each with their own unique style of acting. Directors are no second either. We have produced hundreds of the most creative, dedicated directors to ever emerge in film. Modern Film has clearly risen greatly since film began in 1867.
