Before taking this class, I have always wondered how much money healthcare workers get. Yes, it depends on what profession you choose or look at, but I chose the profession of a Physician. I chose to write about this topic because I might want to be one when I grow up. I am also very excited to find out more information about Physicians.
Physicians often take care of people, they observe and listen. They are able to prescribe medication and send you to different check up areas. I find it very interesting that a Physician Assistant performs more tasks than an actual Physician, but gets payed less. In this research paper I will talk about if its worth spending so much money for education to be a Physician, who perform less tasks than many other healthcare workers.
In this research paper I will also cover the topics of salary, the job growth over years, Physician profit, and efficiency. I also would like to find out which state gives more money to Physicians and why. Then I would like to look into the demand for Physicians and their skills. I'd like to find out which country has the highest demand for them and why.
I think to be a physician you have to market yourself have a good reputation. I will find out how some of the Physicians become more valuable than others. I think this is an important thing to find out because Physicians with a better reputations will have higher salary, and a higher demand. I think it is very interesting to find out how some of the Physicians compete in the same area and even in the same work place.
LITERATURE REVIEW:
While looking for recent healthcare and economics, I found my first journal on The Economist magazine. I could relate this journal entry to my topic because it involves h...

...l above, I stated that Dr. Villarreal was doing everything to gain more patients and to keep his business going. Because Dr. Villarreal was doing things his way, other Physicians got worried because they started to think their patients will prefer to see him instead. (The New York Times)
I also would like to recommend for Physicians to advertise. This will let the patients know there's another Physician in town and patients will know his/her location. This information comes from a class discussion. In my opinion every business should advertise because letting others know about your information could never hurt. I also want to state that expensive healthcare is wrong. I think that because if someone can't afford healthcare (which is a lot of people) they shouldn’t be put in debt, they should be helped out and have it be affordable enough for their family's income.
Physician Assistant is a career choice that entails various specialties and flexibilities that attracts many. Those who desires a path to practice medicine as soon as possible, PA 's lateral mobility allows that to happen. Compared to medical school, PA school requires less time and amount less debt. As the population grows and chronic diseases spreads, The future projection of PA is growing faster than the average careers.
This is because the physicians will be operating with the idea that they will be rewarded financially apart from their basic wage at the closing of their laborious work (Udlis & Mancuso, 2015).

The article,”What is a Physician?” (2012) explains that being patient, tolerable, and being flexible are very important that benefit all health care workers. The article “What is a Physician?”, also goes to states that these traits are important because they provide a positive environment for everybody working with you. The article, “What is a Physician?” (2012) also goes on to state that optimism is very important for pediatrics because it can make a good relationship with your other health care workers. The article, “What is a Physician?” also states that these qualities can help your health care worker to gain reputation and even increase your salary in this profession.
Kidder (2003) states “The physicians are the natural attorneys of the poor, and the social problems should largely be solved by them (pg. 61).” This is where ...
It has been said by many experts that there has been a surplus of physicians in the past, but that there will soon be a shortage of physicians. This shortage will have been instigated by many factors, and is predicted to have various effects on society, both immediate and long term. There have been proposed solutions to this shortage, but there is a fine balance to be found with these many solutions and factors. However, once this balance is found, the long-term mending of the physician shortage may begin.
Physician assistants (PAs) do many tasks and work in various medically influenced settings. PAs can prescribe medications but may need a physician’s opinion beforehand. They may give treatment in the care of broken bones and administer immunizations. A PA also has to educate patients and family members on how to care for a condition that affects them or the members of their families, such as an asthmatic child (“Physician Assistants.” U.S.). Giving lab tests and taking blood samples are also a part of a PAs job duties. They must record the medical history of the patient. A PA may assist a physician/surgeon in a surgery (“Physician Assistant.” Encyclopedia 14).
Considering the intensified demand for primary care physicians amid this shortage, there have been many diverse elements influencing the current workforce 10. Given the patient expansion happening in 2014 the current supply of primary care physicians will likely be unable to properly care for the needs of the country. The aging physician population only fuels the need for a fresh supply of providers. In particular “A December 2010 Council on Graduate Medical Education report estimated that there were 242,500 PCPs in the United States in 2010, and almost 25% (55,000) of them aged ≥ 56 years.” 10! As with everything, there is also a financial incentive for the medical student to avoid going into primary care. PCP’s earn approximately only 55% of what their medical specialty counter part earns 10. In 2010 we are expecting PCP’s, which currently number at 205,000 to increase to 220,800. Conversely, PCP demand is expected to grow from 212,500 to 241,200, with such a significant shortage, nurse practitioners are now in an exciting position. For the first time, NPs are now in position make change happen, and take their position in the medical field 10.
I will talk about the profession pediatricians, because it is a profession that it interesting. It is said that children is a joy to work with, and hopefully being a pediatricians is as much fun as it seems. In this paper, I will look into how to become one, what their works tasks are, and the salary, and how it is to be a pediatrician.
The current set up does not give them the rewards they properly deserve. In fact, the prospect of a limited income is completely unavoidable. These medical doctors are also small business owners. First, they invest an enormous amount of money for office space, office equipments, and medical equipments. Second, the additional burden of overhead expenses and personnel salaries will put a dent on their bottom-line. Third, the inescapable specter of malpractice insurance premiums is a necessary evil the...
...forming bench research at Barry University and Weill Cornell Medical College in the Traveler’s Research Fellowship, I have been exposed to the side of medicine where scientists work every day to find cures for diseases and save lives. Experiencing different aspects of medicine has made me a more competent individual to thrive in this field and has deepened my interest and passion to pursue medicine as a career.I believe that those who fight with so little against so much truly need others to help them in their struggle. Being a physician is not only becoming a successful professional. I will work hard to bring about necessary changes to end social disparities, so that more groups in society receive the best healthcare. By making a difference in their lives, I will receive rewarding experiences that are worth all the hard work and sacrifice my chosen career requires.
The health care industry has become enormously powerful. Hundreds and thousands of physicians, nurses, health specialists, and many more non-medical workers have been employed in hospitals, health facilities, and even at home (Princeton, 2013). In our State, Florida, the healthcare industry is the most coveted field (Princeton, 2013). Everyone wants to be a nurse, a chief executive officer, a doctor, or a physician. It is a field that if chosen, we are set for life; unless we get tired of it or our license is revoked.
