The Greatest Superheroes of all Times: Superman and Batman

There are so many different superheroes but the most popular are Superman and Batman. These two characters are the best American superheroes of all times. Superman and Batman are both extremely courageous and from each we can take something to inspire us. We do not live in a perfect world. As the story of Batman shows, the challenges in our lives make us to become who we are. Superman, who is not a human being, reminds us that the world can be better with the help of all of us. We have to be better people in order to help others. Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give”. (Gunderman, 56).

Superman and Batman are two superheroes that strike fear into the evil. Fighting evil is one of their similarities. Superman and Batman dedicated their lives to serve and protect the innocent people. They both lost their parents at an early age and that shows that each one of them suffered as little kids. Both Superman and Batman have double identities. Superman has a hidden identity as Kent Clark, a journalist, in the same way Batman is living his real life as Bruce Wayne, a rich playboy. They hide their identity in order to protect themselves.

However, these two amazing superheroes also have so many differences.

Superman is an alien that was born on the planet Krypton and sent to earth. A middle class family that raised him on a farm in a small town adopted him. As an adult, he moves to a city, Metropolis, where he stays undercover as a journalist, Clark Kent. Superman hides his identity in the real world to protect himself. As Clark Kent, he looks like a clean cut, handsome man, a geek that likes to keep a low profile. He lives in an apartment and has a normal job. Superman was born...

...es. We can learn a lot from them. I admire them for their courage. I like Batman more than Superman because Batman is a real human, like us and I would like to hope that all of us could do better for the world that we live in. In reality, superheroes can inspire us in any ways we wish, to become stronger people, to care for other human beings. Be the best that we can be.
