The Good and Bad of Racial Profiling

It has been said that racial profiling has been used more than once as a way to detain suspects that arouse suspcion according to NAACP. Racial profiling is the suspicion of people based on race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, or other immutable charateristics rather than evidence based behavior. Eventhough statistics say otherwise racial profiling should not be used as a reasnoable right to detain an individual because it is unlawful, discrinmatory, and ineffective.

Even though statistics say otherwise racial profiling is actually a good way to determine if a person is a suspect or not. Because of hard statistical evedence that shows young black and hispanic men commiting disproportionate numbers of crime. The crimes mostly happen in Urban neighborhoods or rural areas. If an unidentified ethniciy enters a surburban area it will arouse suspcioun to law enforcer because that unidentified ethnocyt is unknown. And it will seem like the person is causeing suspcious activity because they are their. Evidence shows that some racial groups appear more aggressive than others. Racial profiling has led to many succesful stops and has even pervented future crimes. Debatewise.org has said that racial profiling has helped tackled problems of illegal immigration. immigration is high growing problem in the U.S and racial profiling has helped law enforcers stop the problem from increasing. Statistics show that latinos were stopped and searched with no reasonable cause, but out of those many stopped some has been successful. Anna Amberg is pro racial profiling because she belives that our "brains are able to think quickly" so that’s why it creates profiles. Meaning that the President of The United States should also be detained, that’s absolutely outrageous. Discrimination is a form of racism. the justice system can not be biased on others opinions they should their own nor should they be influenced by any other but themselves. Race, ethnicity, religion and orgin can not tell a law enforcer whether they commited a crime or not or whether their guilty. Detaining someone because of that could lead to many suits on the law enforcer himself. Discrinantion should never be a tool in the legal process.
