space time

Throughout our history space-time has been generally explained as what the name stands for. As in, space-time means the relationship between space and time. That generality isn’t helpful in the process of learning and understanding space-time. Therefore, one must examine further than its original definition to learn what space-time really is. As a result, in further study, the space-time continuum is connected to a special theory of relativity. Nonetheless, space time continuum is where space and time are combined into a mathematical/physical thing because the equations of relativity show that both space and time must get mixed in order to accurately describe what we see.
In 1906, Albert Einstein created the theory of special relativity. The theory explains how it understands motion between different inertial frames of reference, meaning places that are moving at constant speeds relative to each other. He explained that when two objects are moving at a constant speed as the relative motion between the two objects, instead of appealing to the other as an absolute frame of reference that defined what was going on. Einstein’s theory is based on two things: the principle of relativity and the principle of the speed of light. The principle of relativity is where the laws of physics don’t change, even for objects moving in inertial (constant speed). The principle of the speed of light is the same to everyone, regardless of their motion relative to the light source. This involves the idea of what happens to time when you approach the speed of light. The answer is that time slows down, which is called time dilation. In addition, mass increases as it moves faster when approaching the speed of light.
Nonetheless, as a result of Einstein’s ...

Theory of Special Relativity was created by Albert Einstein in 1906, and used the theory to discover and link it to the space-time continuum. The space-time continuum is space and time are combined because the theory of relativity shows that both space and time must get mixed in order to truly define what we see. In gravitational time dilation, time passes faster with less gravity. This affects the theory because the bigger the object, the slower time passes by. In conclusion, it is because of Einstein’s theory of Special Relativity, that the space-time continuum was discovered.
