compare and contrast about customs between China and VietNam

Vietnam is a country that has long history. Chinese dominated Vietnam for 1,000 years. The French also dominated the country for 61 years. However, Vietnam gets most influence from China, which is one of the most powerful countries in the world after America. Although Viet Nam gets most influence from China but Viet Nam and China also have very special customs that exist in each country. This essay will compare and contrast their religion, festival and food’s style.
Firstly, both Viet Nam and China have a very similar in their religion. Vietnam had different names before. One of the first names was Dai Viet. The name manifested in all face of nation after 1000 years living in pain and humiliation caused by The Chinese. After this period, Vietnam almost was recognized by China. Chinese made influence on Vietnamese culture very long time ago. In the past, large of Vietnamese follow Confucianism and Buddhism. Confucianism, which entered into Vietnam since Chinese dependency. According to a website called “ History”: “Confucius, who lived 2,500 years ago, never attempted to found a religion but was content to be a scholar and teacher.” (history, n.d.). The Confucianism began from China long time ago, influent to Viet Nam and Vietnamese people however transformed it and made it different yet remained its specific style, called “Nom". The Vietnamese changed and Vietnamized Han script. In China, Confucianism had existed for a long time but that not real religion. Confucius who created and spread developed Confucianism. “In China, you can find many Confucius temples, which is an important place for the candidates for important exams. ...e world make a special event is firework. Both Vietnamese and Chinese people have a thing called “lucky money” put in red letter for children that for lucky New Year with the wishes. In China, the last day of the year, they usually make a special cake called “ Ba Chang”. That is very similar to “Banh Chung” in Viet Nam but with different ingredient. In the first day of New Year, Chinese people depend on parallel of age that lead or invite that human to their home as they called “callers” for all year lucky and smoothly. The style of food in Viet Nam is influenced from China very huge,
Finally, after 1000 years dominated by Chinese, Vietnamese people fight fiercely.
. However, we absorb their culture and make it our own. Maintaining, improving and protecting what we gained in the past are responsibility of each of our young generation living in “S” shape country.
