A worldview is a particular philosophy of life or conception of the world. Everybody has their own opinion of a worldview. To me, a worldview is the perspective in which one person views the world. Norman Geisler and William Watkins see a worldview as this, “A worldview is a way of viewing or interpreting all of reality. It is an interpretive framework through which or by which one makes sense of the data of life and the world.” When they say “an interpretive framework” they are talking about seeing a worldview as a pair of glasses. When you put on your pair of glasses you see the world clearly. When you put on someone else’s glasses you may not see things as well as they see them. If the prescription for the glasses is someone else’s, then you would more than likely see through them distortedly. Now if you have the proper prescription, the glasses will help you see the world clearly. This is analogous to worldviews. Prescription glasses can either hurt or help your eyes, as your worldview will either hurt or help your mind as it tries to understand the world. If your worldview shows the truth of God’s Word, then that worldview will help you see the world clearly as it is supposed to be seen. If your worldview is that there is no belief in God, then when you look at the design in nature, you have to see something other in design. You have to see an accident that happens to look like a design. Just an example; when you look at Mount Rushmore, do you see design, or do you see an accident? You have to see design, because there is no way that the rocks that are carved out of Mount Rushmore just had accidentally happened. They do not believe that Jesus was crucified on the cross to save us of our sins, but they do believe that Jesus will return to this earth for a special role before the future judgment day, perhaps turning Christians to Islam. There is a major problem with this. There is no way that we can connect with God because we are sinful. You could do absolutely everything, and still not be able to connect to God. The only way for us to connect to God would be that if we had a Savior. Our Savior is Jesus, He lived a sinless life and died on the cross for our sins so that we can be with God one day. When the Qur’an talks more about Jesus than Muhammad, and has several contradictions throughout the book and discusses no possible way to be able to reach God. Why should I believe it? This is why Christianity holds as the one true worldview.
The biblical worldview is essentially the integration of fundamental biblical teachings to become a meaningful and unified response to the routine opportunities and challenges of modern life. An individual wholly inscribed into a biblical worldview projects a belief system that the core purpose of existence is to love and serve the Lord God alone. Essentially, a Christian worldview is formed in reference of the infallible living Word of God (Tackett, 2014). After a believer fully believes the living Word of God then allows it to form the basis of everything in their life. That implies, for instance, that when a believer chooses to pursue Romans 13 to respect people in authority then must take priority in voting and electing new leaders into power. A bible believing person should lead a life that portrays the biblical teachings and truths. As practical Christians our gut reaction should be limited to the biblical established truths (Wayne, 2014).

What is a worldview? A worldview is an idea or thought that manifest in our brain but is originated from how we perceive and feel towards events that happen during our life. The opinions we express outwardly in action disseminates to others with whom we surround ourselves with, and vise versa. Collectively we take in worldviews and judge them to our own view, and settle on a conscious agreement to what we hold to be truth.

My own definition of worldview is set of beliefs about the most important issues in life and my reaction to it. While in agreement with Jeff Baldwin’s eyeglass concept, I choose to compare my Christian worldview to an internal navigational system. When I am lost and need to be found, Christ is omnipresent. He knows my location and guides me into another direction. “It’s a roadmap, a guide for getting around in life, for interpreting reality, and for making choices” (The Importance of Worldview, 2011, p.11). Hopefully my final destination will be in the “city of gold, as clear as glass” (NLT, Revelation, 21:18).
There are two pieces in our Renaissance Era musical feature this evening, the first by Pierre Phalèse called Passamezzo d'Italye - Reprise – Gaillarde. The renaissance or “rebirth” was a cultural awakening which spanned from the fourteenth to sixteenth century. A growing interest in humanist traits and classical ideas heavily influenced the art during the renaissance. A growing community of artists provided much needed competition for their profession. The renaissance introduced many different and modern ideas but also remained obedient to classical belief. The unique art of the renaissance spread throughout Europe. Northern European art differed tremendously from Italian art.
The Renaissance was a very vital time in our history without the Renaissance era we would not have many of the advancements that we have today. This era not only influenced art, literature, and music but also today’s politics, religion and society. During the Renaissance, there were many new inventions in technology the way of thinking also changed. This was key to the development of western civilization.
My personal worldview explains the way I view and live life through the assumptions and beliefs I hold in response to the world around me. I believe I was created for a specific reason and purpose.
The World View is a global concept. It defines our standard of how things are or should be in the world we live in. It makes up our rules of how we and others should act and our values and morals to behave in the world. For most of the people, the world view is a vague set of rules that we have unconsciously adopted from the society. Generally our family, religious groups and society seldom allow us for making creating our own. Through our intellect, we can create aspects of our world view. In short the World View is a filter through which we make judgments of others and ourselves.
After the Middle Ages, the Renaissance took place in 1350-1550. During this period, new ideas about cultures, arts and inventions formed. Art was one of the most influential out of cultures and inventions. With art, artists were able to exemplify realism, humanism, and secularism. Art did not just show paintings. It showed different views of the Renaissance.
The High Renaissance refers to a short period of 30 years in which several artists produced exceptional works of art. The best known arts of the High Renaissance period include Leondardo de Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael. Known for a renewed importance on classical tradition and the visual arts, High Renaissance expanded networks of financial support and gained popularity among the wealthy. (“High Renaissance”)
It is not limited to just painting and sculptures, but architecture and many other forms as well. The Italian Renaissance time period was a very crucial part of art history. Many famous artists that many people, even those who are not find of art, known of were around during this time period. Divided into two parts, early and high renaissance, each part had it’s own contribution to the advancement of art. The early part of the time period was used for experimenting different techniques and production and was mainly in Florence. Later on, during the high period, the techniques that were effective moved to Rome and Milan. Leonardo Di Vinci was, and still is, a very known artist. Di Vinci created many beautiful paintings. His most famous painting, Last Supper was created between 1485-1498. He used oil, tempera, and varnish on plaster. Another great artist of this time period, was Filippo Brunelleschi. Brunelleschi was an architect, sculptor, and theorist who revived the classical architecture. He also invented a the first laws of a technique we still use today called one point perspective, or linear. He was the one who said that all parallel lines in a drawing/painting should meet at a vanishing point. Since then there have been more perspectives discovered, like two and three pint perspectives.
